The backyard of the Inai family home was surrounded by various shrubs, flower beds, and vegetable gardens. Gardening had become a hobby for the Inai matriarch, but the death of Hirokazu's father had led to a barren wasteland a few years prior. The young ninja took over for his grief struck mother and had began a wonderful habit of tending to and harvesting the garden. As the young ninja passed through the creaking wooden door, his eyes glanced towards the wooden stool and table. Atop the table was a plate with two handfuls of blue-berries. While on his mini vacation, Hirokazu had set a goal to learn a new medical technique. Prior to leaving for the backyard he reviewed the documentation he received from his Sensei and landed on the Goodberry technique. By the end of the day, Hirokazu hoped he would be able to perform it with no issues.

Hirokazu sat on the wooden stool and placed one berry onto the table surface. As he focused on the berry, the knowledge he had just absorbed came to mind. The macronutrients and vitamins present in the blue-berries could be infused with chakra to amplify their nutritional and caloric values. The technique requires considerable chakra control in order to transmute the chemical bonds within the compounds. To initiate the training, Kazu placed the index and middle finger over the berry and began to channel chakra. A tingling sensation began in his fingertips as the chakra bubbled to the surface.
As the ninja maintained the minor chakra flow, he pressed his fingers gently into the surface of the berry. Hirokazu concentrated by envisioning the chakra infusing itself through the berry and transforming the chemical bonds. He found it a bit difficult to visualize the atomic chemical components of the berry. While he couldn't be too sure whether it had worked, Hirokazu did consume a large meal prior to beginning the training that left his stomach full. If he consumed a berry that successfully underwent the Goodberry technique, he'd surely puke or start up with a stomach ache.
The berry he had infused with chakra was placed on a different part of the table and a second berry was taken. The ninja concentrated chakra to the surface of his fingers and again visualized chemical bond formation. As his finger pressed into the berry, he guided the chakra into the berry and modified the nature of the chakra into its medical form and concentrated its size to a minute level. Something about this attempt elicited a sense of success. Before he knew it, Hirokazu had moved onto the last berry and continued the process. Each attempt had helped to refine the process. With the last berry transmuted, he threw it into his mouth and awaited a sensation of fullness, one that would suggest successful mastery of the technique.
