Name: Inoryu Yamanaka
Bloodlimit: None
Height: 5'11"
Weight: 140 lb
Age: 20
Gender: Male
Alignment: Good Lawful
Special: Genjutsu Master, Taijutsu Non Specialist
Thanks to the advanced fiber of his long sleeved dark grey shirt, it provides ultimate comfort, flexibility, and temperature control to keep the warmth in and cold out. It is particularly made for someone whom undertakes athletic endeavors often. He wears black pants during cold weather or cargo shorts for hot or mild weather. He also has a butt bag containing ninja tools on his right side and left side.
Due to his mother's knowledge of botany and culinary arts, she has fed him 'superfood' all his life. It not only makes him exceptionally healthy but beautiful as well. His eyes have a magnificent glow, his hair has a beautiful sheen when the light hits, and his skin is flawless.
On most days he spends his time training. He observes people under their profession with the mind of a psychologist and artist. Sometimes this translates to his peers, or anyone for that matter, that he always seems to be assessing their minds. Despite this flaw, people can actually have deep, intellectual conversations with him if they find a middle ground of communicating. Such topics as philosophy fascinate him, and he has a neutral position to faith and religions until he learns about the person and the deity they worship.
After years of progressive training, both of his parents had come to the conclusion that he was indeed a prodigy of the Yamanaka clan and began discussing his future, as well as the clan's. This discussion before long turned into a debate. Both Shoza and his wife Shirizu realized that he had the potential to take the Yamanaka clan farther in developing their secret techniques, but they debated the path his life would take.
Shirizu thought it best that he stay and work for their flower shop. He could develop his skills at home while studying the flora, and that Shoza should teach him everything pertaining to the clan. She believed this would be a life to nurture him best. Shoza disagreed.
He believed that keeping him at home wouldn't advance the Yamanaka clan. The Yamanaka clan are a family who have made their mark as great agents through the ages. He doubted that Inoryu would gain the necessary experience to learn the advanced techniques by working in a flower shop. He suggested that he underwent ninja academy and become a shinobi of the Grass.
One day during training, his father broke the news to him that he would be sending him to be a shinobi the coming year. During that time, Inoryu demonstrated great talent for the Yamanaka discipline as well as a mind for learning. He didn't find his enrollment into the academy exciting, but indifferent.
As a student in the academy, it was rare for him to show any drive, but instead went through his years doing as he was told, learning, and absorbing the lessons. It was as if he were a shadow most of the time, capable of every ninja technique, and unpopular with other kids, most often going unnoticed. But while no one in particular took the time to get to know him, he used his time to get to know everyone in his class, their quirks, their likes, their dislikes. He even went as far as to assess his teacher and in time was able to predict people's reactions. Still he was a shadow but he felt himself become more substantial.
He was on the line of graduating, on the grounds that he was average or above average in all the skills but he had no drive. The elders weren't sure if the life of a shinobi was for him. They called him to have a session and he talked between his teacher and the elders.
When they were losing faith in him, one of the elders noticed the Yamanaka vigil that he wore proudly on the back of his shirt, "So you're one of the Yamanaka clan? Let's see what you can do."
Inoryu revealed a slight, cold smile. He raised his hands in an oval fashion aimed at his teacher, "Ninja Art: Art of Valentine". And the cold smile was transferred to his teacher for just a moment before he begun a descriptive assessment on everyone in his class while portraying his teacher's character. The elder's were awed. They could feel the hairs on their bodies stand on end. They were disturbed by how easy it was to believe that the person before them was in fact himself through his actions, his dialogue, and his quirks. And how accurate his assessment was on the class. It was preternatural for a child his age.
The elders allowed Inoryu to finish the assessment of his class entirely. It was hard to believe that a child would produce such an accurate assessment on his peers. He and the elders even saw eye to eye but for one person, "...As for Inoryu. He has some talent, but what worries me is that he doesn't interact with the other kids at all. Although, I may be mistaken," he said pausing for a second with his eyes shut to think as his teacher would do, "I believe he should graduate the academy. He has demonstrated skill in mastering each new ninjutsu taught in the academy and it would make his father proud. Release." Inoryu rose up to his feet.
His teacher was coming to as if his mind was returning from a distant place, "What just happened?" he said in a daze.
"Inoryu, was that assessment your own?" one of the elders asked.
Inoryu nodded, "Yes." While the elders were astonished, they hid it very well.
"I believe that Inoryu is indeed prepared for the shinobi lifestyle and capable, is there anyone who disagrees?" each elder held their silence.
The teacher was amazed, "Well then, congratulations," he said, "You are now a genin and an official shinobi of the grass."
"Thank you," Inoryu replied.
"Your teacher has a headband ready for you," an elder informed.
Inoryu left with his teacher to retrieve his headband. His teacher didn't fully understand the elder's decision to pass him, but respected the decision nonetheless. Since then, Inoryu's Ninja Academy teacher, Densho Kirigaki, had always found a way to help his former student mature, and has even become Inoryu's closest ally and friend.

When Inoryu had asked to learn genjutsu, Densho suggested a jutsu called phantasmal force. Inoryu had mastered the jutsu just before the end of the year, but with the thrill of graduation, he had forgot to tell his teacher. Densho thought he would fail as a ninja, but when he and Inoryu were called up to the board of advisers, everything he seemed to be lacking was reversed when he revealed his uncanny skill with the Yamanaka secret techniques. Thus he was allowed to graduate.

Appearance
Inoryu Yamanaka has luscious blonde hair and the vivid teal eyes inherited by his clan, although his skin looks a tad bit tan compared to the other Yamanaka. His hair is kept just a couple of inches short at all times and he ties his Kusagakure shinobi headband securely to his forehead. His face is proportionate with his body figure after growing older which could be considered significant because his head used to look a little too big for his body as a child.
On the back of his right hand, he has the kanji symbol for ‘moon’ (月) tatted as was required for every student of the Yasashii Kusa Dojo. Below the kanji symbol for moon is the kanji symbol for ‘shield’ (匿) to signify his rank as a fully privileged adult and competent fighter within the fighting system Gintsuki no Seiko Mai, called a "Bengonin" (Defender). Underneath the kanji symbol for shield is the kanji symbol for ‘sword’ (刀) as his status progressed to "Kenkaku" (Knife Fighter). He secures his tanto vertically on his back or on either thigh.
Inoryu's armor set is truly a sight to behold. The border around the eyes of his helmet are open and shaped like a butterfly's wings to prevent any restriction of visibility. The top of the helmet is fluted from the top to the back, coming down to a hemmed point above his nose to further enhance the illusion of butterfly wings.
His torso armor piece consists of a back plate to protect the entire back, a breastplate fluted to accentuate the chest, a plackart to reinforce the breastplate, and faulds to protect the abdomen. The plackart was crafted with such detail that in the center of the plackart is a fierce and winding dragon that gives the armor a majestic presence. The fluting; soft practical and aesthetic ridges, dragon, and design of the rivets make the armor not only highly effective but a stunning work of art. His right side pauldron is fluted with soft ridges around the border making the armor appear worthy of a noble. His pristine right arm armor consists of 3 parts: the upper cannon which is intended to protect the upper arm, the lower cannon which is intended to protect the lower arm, and the couter which is used to connect the two pieces together while protecting the elbow. The upper and lower cannons have three reinforcement plates and is softly fluted along the borders.
Personality
Inoryu was trained in the modern ways of the Yamanaka progressively almost as soon as he was able to walk and talk. Through his father's training, he emphasizes most the success of the mission. His father has engraved in his mind that mission failure could be worse than death by showing him the history of spies captured by the enemy. He grew up understanding that there are worse things than death and never to compromise his character. That even though he may receive orders that might go against his nature, to abide by them on his own terms. His morals were pure and he was raised to always be himself. Inoryu is an individual thinker and prefers to think for himself. He easily gets annoyed by those who underestimate him though he doesn't act on it. He is mild mannered, and very inquisitive. He doesn't speak much unless the conversation is intellectually stimulating, otherwise he'd rather enjoy the rambling of others. Though he is reserved, he does his best to maintain a friendly attitude towards his allies. As long as one is a shinobi of the Grass or an ally, he will accept them and do his best to work with them. However, he isn't very experienced in social situations and has a lot to learn about himself. He has limited exposure to other people due to his introverted nature.
Background
Since Inoryu was young, he appeared as a Yamanaka prodigy to his parents who had a profound knowledge of the secret techniques and history of the Yamanaka clan. He was a good natured baby who hardly cried, and grew to be a mild mannered child with an inquisitive personality. Recognizing his talent for chakra control, his father Shoza Yamanaka began training him soon after he could walk and talk coherently. After years of progressive training, both of his parents had come to the conclusion that he was indeed a prodigy of the Yamanaka clan and began discussing his future, as well as the clan's.
