You start flicking through the worn and water stained parchment of the book. It's pages dry and firm against your fingers. A quick glance at the book would reveal that it was a book about vampires and the cultivation of them. A few moments would pass as you scanned the book and looked at the other books left open. Another book seemed to be a book of curses opened to a particular page. That open page covered a number of curses and they all seemed to be centered around ending immortality. Something was strange about this particular page. As you tried to read the exact words the words would seem to suddenly blur and unfocus. The more you squinted the worse it would get. The details were lost to your investigation.
After a moment and one massive slash bodies would fall to the floor. A quick examination of the body would reveal their secrets to you. The bones of the skeleton showed no signs of damage. Whatever it's cause of this persons demise it was one taken without excessive force. All the teeth in it's skull were also missing. The second body, still with meat on the bones would hit the ground with a muffled thud as the mortified flesh would hit the floor. The scent of rotting meat and decay would hit the ground as the decomposing organs slopped onto the floor. Maggots could be seen forming along the carcass of its entrails. This same wretched bile now covered the blade of your weapon.
All of this would happen as the first copy of yourself started to gaze at the deer head sat in the center of this pentagram. The moment you saw your soul split swing its weapon at the building your soul-sight, still active would reveal something to you. The moment the weapon touched the wooden wall the blade would quickly glance off as if it was made of an indestructible material. Your soul split would quickly feel a strange soreness in it's body. Your eyes would pick up as you could see a normally invisible magical essence draw energy from the soul split the moment the house would have normally taken damage.
