Description: A pair of prisoners managed to escape during a transport. The good news? They’re weak and still within Kumogakure no Sato. The bad news? Both are trained soldiers who are on the run! An ANBU captain has asked for help in order to catch the prisoners. Make sure they don’t harm any civilians or Kumogakure shinobis. Your are allowed to injure the soldier(s) if he/they try to injure someone. Do not kill them since we’re interrogating them later.
Reward: 48,000 ryo. Shinobis only.

It was a calm day in Kumogakure no Sato. Most people were at work or school. One of the workers was an ANBU owl captain. He stood next to the bank in his shinobi gear. His hip pouch contained 10 kunais, 15 hira shurikens, 2 smoke grenades, 2 hikari bombs, a multi-tool, 2 speedy healing herbs, 11 exploding tags, 40 senbons and a pair of goggles with camera. Strapped onto his back was a custom made katana. A wireless radio was strapped onto his head.

'They should be here any moment. Good thing we know the village better than the prisoners' thought the man. He held a detailed map of Kumogakure no Sato in his hands. Light brown eyes studied the streets. Who would get here first?

[Skulking Shinzu]

“Howdy.” There was clear excitement to Yis’ voice despite his features being locked in a neutral expression. Still in his zombie-like flayed appearance, there appeared to be no changes to the man. As always, all he wore were simple black shoes, dark grey trousers and shirt, along with a pitch-black hooded trench coat which stretched all the way from his shoulders to his knees. Transformed with a layer of Kedoin cell craft to look mundane, the cloak was actually a Cloak of Hyuga. Underneath the folds of all this clothing, Yis wore a pouch strapped to his left hip which contained a small assortment of herbs, gem and Kunai - all marked with Hiraishin seals. He almost looked under equipped for this mission. Almost. Those that knew him well knew that hidden underneath the sleeves of the cloak, amidst the patchwork flayed flesh of his forearms, Yis sported several Item Summoning Seals linked to an assortment of weaponry.

“As promised, my cat.” Yis gestured towards the bipedal white-furred figure that stood awkwardly on hind legs. Reaching all the way to his shoulder, the so-called cat moved with oddly humanoid precision. “Hello.” Neko introduced herself telepathically to everyone in the area while bowing. If the two other Genin reached the area in time to hear the telepathic voice, than they would note how it sounded oddly familiar. Like her companion, Neko possessed little equipment. A simple pouch remained by the feline’s left hip, which contained six Kunai and Life Water. As per standard, all equipment – including the pouch itself – was marked with a single Hiraishin seal. Keen observers would also note a single Item Summoning Seal etched onto the feline’s right palm which was linked to Tessaiga. Almost as if she were Yis’ shadow, the bipedal cat always stood behind Yis while occasionally peaking just over his shoulder to observe what was going on with her giant saucer-like eyes.

As Kimi waited he adjust his equipment making sure it was all in place and secured. He felt for both of his sickles held on his back, making sure the latch was secure for both quick drawing and holding. He drew his cloak around his shoulders pulling down his hood. He checked each of the quick loaders making sure they were topped up on Shurikens, the four on his front and the one on his side. His Kunai were secured in his pouch on his upper right chest, each Kunai he had was wrapped with an explosive tag. He then without losing site of the area adjust and tightened his greaves and gauntlets, making sure they were in place correctly and ready to be used.

He had chosen a large building that would over look the entire portion of this district. He only had about ten minutes to go before they where to meet. But he wanted to get started as soon as possible. He used his Dragon Eyes to zoom in on the area and watch everything. When he spotted anything odd or suspicious he would focus his attention on that area. He wanted to gather all the information he could as quickly as possible. This was what his clan was the best at, it was what he was able to do for the team.

When he the time to meet was almost up he stepped off the side of the building and into the air. As he did so he made the hand seals for the Wingblast Jutsu. He quickly flew towards their meeting place. Still using his Dragon eyes he quickly found them and started his descent. As he got within ten feet of the ground he dropped the Jutsu and landed beside them. "Hello to both of you, Kimimaru reporting in as offered."

He gave a nod to both of them and as his usual, you couldn't tell if he was being nice or just saying things. The one thing Kimi knew he could do was hide his emotions, keep them locked into a different tiny boxes in his head. That way no one would see him as weak and a easy target anymore.

Ryuugan (Dragon Eye)

Effect: The power of the Ryuugan Doujutsu is unleashed, allowing the user to see the elements of Lightning, Air, and Water up to a certain distance and increase general seeing distance of one's eyes.

Drawback: Cannot see out of natural line of sight, takes a negligible amount of Chakra to maintain. Cannot pierce Genjutsu
Description: The second stage of the Kazeraikou Doujutsu forces a temporary change of the user's eyes. The iris and pupil of the eye become one and change to a color decided at the first awakening depending on their mood. The color is like a cloud and swirls around the user's eye when looking around. Small lines of white will flash across the eyes like lightning bolts and continually do so as long as the eye is active. Also a slight glow of the eyes illuminate in the dark at this point. With the second stage of the Ryuugan Doujutsu unleashed, it allows the user to see the elements of Lightning, Air, and Water up to one's viewing parameters. One's natural sight is also enhanced giving the capability of 4x zoom capabilities. The user sees the elements as three new, vibrant, and opaque colors that mesh perfectly with their normal vision, giving the user the ability to see the three elements without hindering their normal vision in the slightest. Of course normal vision can hinder this special sight, as the user cannot see through walls or other things as normal.

Description: Duration of this technique is 5 rounds per Class Level or until expended. Hazy wings of mist form at the user's sides, bearing the user aloft. At the user's command, the wings transform into a great blast of wind or a cloud of fog. When the user performs this Jutsu a large set of mist wings—resembling those of a dragon of the user's choice—form on their back. The user can fly with good maneuverability. As a Weaving movement, the user can choose to transform the wings into 1 of the 2 effects given below. Description: Aeroglass Identification: Average; Hardness: 7; Armour Points/Inch: 12; Armour Class: -4. Non Magnetic Material. Aeroglass is a light, strong glass containing small amounts of adamantine and numerous minute air bubbles. It is sometimes found as slag floating on top of lava in active volcanoes. Not as strong as steel per unit volume, it has hardness 7 and 12 Armour Points per inch of thickness; an equivalent volume of aeroglass weighs only 1/5 as much as steel. Weapons made of aeroglass are always masterwork. Due to their light weight, they gain an additional +1 additional attack in 1 movement per round while using a weapon made of Aeroglass, though this bonus does not stack with any enchantment bonus. Aeroglass armour needs to be thicker in order to provide the same protection as normal Armour, so gives no special benefits. The time to meet had come, and had almost gone, before a discrete breeze wafted down the city street, blowing over the group. Up above, out of the bustle of the crowded streets, Touya slowly descended on the group, hands dug casually into his pockets as he rode in on the breeze, setting himself down gently in front of the group. He straightened up his jacket before turning to them. "So, are we all ready to do this?" he asked.

The only immediately noticeable difference in Touya's appearance was the addition of a short sword strewn diagonally across his back. As he unbuttoned his jacket, however, a closer look would show that his slacks were secured by a black tac belt rather than something more classy and a keen eye could perhaps notice the bulges on his waist under his jacket, indicating several pouches on the belt.

Before they proceeded, Touya reached into his jacket and the snap of a button was heard from beneath. He withdrew and presented a handful of 4 hands-free wireless radios, holding them out for the group to see. "Anybody need one? We'll probably need them."

His first team member to arrive was Yis. "Howdy. As promised, my cat" greeted the man. The older man wore a simple outfit that blended in well. His ivory coloured cat however...was standing at two legs.

The ANBU raised his eyebrows behind the mask. Kimimaru arrived a few moments later. 'He can fly!? Impressive for a Genin' thought the male. "Hello to both of you, Kimimaru reporting in as offered." greeted the boy.

His eyes were glowing crimson red. Last to arrive was Touya. "So, are we all ready to do this?" inquired the guy. He wore a plain jacket with several bulges. Next, the white-haired guy withdrew four wireless radios.

"Anybody need one? We'll probably need them" told the Genin. "I already have one. I appreciate you thought about this beforehand" told the captain.

He cleared his throat. "I am so happy you could help me out. I just checked the area. Both of the prisoners are three blocks away" informed the man. He pulled out the village map once they were in the clear.

"We're currently right here. Both of our targets are here. It's an avenue with a branch office of this bank. Furthermore, they got a large furniture store there. Both places are getting their deliveries today" continued the ANBU.

"Further down that road is the elementary school. The green area is a park with playground equipment as well. To the right is a few apartment complexes. There are only civilians living there. Most of them are at work now" finished the guy.

He rolled up the map. "We're going to use channel P3 for the radio. That's the standard undercover mission channel. We got permission to injure the prisoners if required. Killing is not allowed - period. We need to interrogate those criminals afterwards" stated the owl agent.

"We are four people at the moment. Who of you have taken the most missions within Kumogakure?" inquired the male. His mask looked at the trio. This would be vital since they probably needed to split up. Furthermore, this information was important for the team dynamics.

Kimimaru listened intently, he had also gotten a visual on the surrounding. He knew the area the Anbu was talking about. At least most of the homes in the area are empty right now. That would lessen the stress of this capture. Kimi was probably the best suited for this part. He had his Ice and his Wood Chakra, both were perfect for capturing targets alive. "I will take one of those radios, thank you. I believe that I have taken the most missions with the village."

Kimi paused as he looked at the other two. One was a fresh Genin from the leaf that moved here. The other was also a new shinobi to the village. Kimi had taken four missions with this being his fifth mission. So that would make it him he suspected at the very least. As he thought that he plucked the radio from Touya's hand. He then dialed into P3 and placed the wireless receiver in his ear, the mic went around his neck.

"I have an idea for the capture of them. I have the Demon Ice Mirrors, I can easily capture one using them. If you two can handle the other one and cause the initial distraction I can activate the Mirrors and control one. How does that sound?"

[Skulking Shinzu]

“He can fly? …I only just recently learned how to do that…” Yis thought to himself with a scowl on his face. Moving with human-like precision, the bipedal cat walked towards Touya and accepted a wireless radio on behalf of Yis. “Thank you.” She said telepathically in a familiar voice before returning to her companion’s side. The duo then carefully analysed all the information presented to them. Unlike the Genin exam – this was no test. One mistake and innocents could get hurt. This worried the Neko, while stressing out Yis. There was no way he could go all out within the confines of the village. Especially in a neighbourhood he was unfamiliar with.

“Me-” Yis abruptly raised his hand at the mention of the most missions taken, before slowly and awkwardly lowering the hand as the ANBU continued speaking. “Never mind… If we are limiting it to within Kumogakure, then I have only taken one…” Yis was confident taking this mission but began to feel out of his depth at the realisation that he was very inexperienced when it came to Ninja missions. Swallowing, a shadow of gloom washed over his expression as he began hoping that he wouldn’t drag the team down. Taking a step back, the Kedoin decided to make a conscious decision to allow Kimimaru to lead while growing visibly depressed.

Touya handed out radios as needed before taking one for himself. He worked on wiring himself up while standing there listening to the group. He certainly wasn't to speak up as the one who'd run the most missions in Kumogakure, considering that this would be his first one, so he kept his mouth shut. If the agent was looking for a leader, he'd just have to take a back seat this time around. Plus, if it was Kimi, they'd be sure to do things in the most goodie-good way possible, so he wouldn't have to worry about gray areas.

"Look, I'll be honest here," he spoke up a moment after Kimi did. "I'll definitely be around to keep these guys from going somewhere they shouldn't, but I'm more worried about hurting them more than I should with my techniques. How are we going to go about subduing this other guy without killing him? If they don't want to come quietly, we're probably going to have to rough 'em up a bit." These two ex-soldiers would probably be sturdy, but they certainly didn't want to permanently off either of them, so it was a point worth bringing up, he thought.

"Never mind...If we are limiting it to within Kumogakure, then I have only taken one" muttered the guy. The older male could see the confidence vanish from his eyes. 'That telepathic voice I heard earlier was quite familiar. Yeah - that must be it' concluded the ANBU.

"I have an idea for the capture of them. I have the Demon Ice Mirrors, I can easily capture one using them. If you two can handle the other one and cause the initial distraction I can activate the mirrors and control one. How does that sound?" suggested the male.

"Look, I'll be honest here. I'll definitely be around to keep these guys from going somewhere they shouldn't. But I'm more worried about hurting them more than I should with my techniques. How are we going to go about subduing this other guy without killing him? If they don't want to come quietly, we're probably going to have to rough 'em up a bit." stated the last guy.

The man cleared his throat a few moments later. "Listen please. We're going to split into pairs. I would like Yis-kun plus his cat to go with Kimimaru-kun. You know this village better than he does" started the captain.

His porcelain mask turned towards Touya. "I would like you to come with me. I appreciate your concern about them not going willingly. This is where part two kicks in" informed the man. He showed them the map again.

"As I said earlier, the prisoners are somewhere at this avenue. This avenue runs perpendicular to this street. Yis-kun and Kimimaru-kun will start here. I will go here with you" continued the ANBU.

"Each pair is at the opposite end of the street. This makes it harder for the prisoners to run away. There are two shops expecting deliveries in 30 minutes. This is an advantage plus a disadvantage. Listen carefully" told the male.

"The disadvantages are possible escape, hostage situations plus damaging goods. We can however use the delivery to disguise ourselves. I don't think the prisoners know the delivery people are coming either. Furthermore, we may use them to surprise our attackers. Or distract them" stated the owl agent.

"Any questions? If not, let's split up. I like your cat by the way. Reminds me of one in a fairy tale*" inquired the male. His voice was slightly less serious now.

[Skulking Shinzu]

Yis nodded at the suggestion. If Kimimaru was willing to take the lead and guide the duo towards the targeted location, then Yis could focus all his attention on subduing whichever opponent Kimimaru couldn’t trap within his Ice Mirrors. Confidence returning, Yis grinned as he took in the ANBU captain’s words. A pincer strike. With any luck, this would all end very cleanly. As the captain said, nothing was being left to chance here. If the prisoners were kept to the confines of the single street, there would be little to no collateral damage or casualties. As the Kedoin contemplated this, Neko winked at the captain's comment. Having come from a literal world formed of storybooks, she had no trouble in catching the reference. "I did always want to learn fencing." She mused just before Yis chimed in.

“The deliveries…” Evidently, one fact was still nagging at Yis. If the group could make use of the deliveries to hide themselves amongst civilians, then the opposite was also true for the criminals. At any point, they could also use the deliveries to their advantage and claim a hostage. This was beyond risky. Swallowing, the Kedoin raised his hand, which slowly began to blister and boil. “Just to be safe, we should mix several of me into the group of delivery people. If nothing else, I am sure they will welcome the extra hands.” Over the course of seconds, four blobs of cells peeled off Yis’ hand and plopped onto the ground with a grotesque ‘splat’. Rapidly growing, the four oozes elongated and took the shape of humanoids before growing fine details such as facial features, hair and even clothing. As far as even the best sensory techniques went – these were not Chakra clones. Each could be considered a ‘human’ right down to each living cell. “Flesh clones – Homunculi. They won’t be of much help in the actual fighting, but they can throw themselves in harm’s way and make themselves hostages in place of other people if need be.”

“That sounds like a good idea, I will fly up and create a cloud. From there I will release a chilling field, it will allow for a wearing of them. I will contain it to three square blocks, then I will drop down and activate the Demon Ice Mirrors. If it goes properly I can catch both of them, but I might only be able to contain one. How does that sound?” Kimi spoke confidently he made sure to lay it out his plan for them to hear.


He was ready to do this by himself if needed, but he would rather have them help. But he wouldn’t show that at all, in fact he couldn’t. If they watched him it was as if this was an everyday occurs, maybe even a boring mission. If they weren’t extremely skilled at reading people it would seem as if he didn’t care at all. Though his words give insight into his mindset, though even that was barely able to be discerned. “Actually could we just replace all the delivery people with your creations? Can they alter themselves so they look differently? Either way that would allow us to almost completely control the situation. Let me know when we start, I can get in the air faster than most can get to that warehouse.”

Touya stood there for a long moment while the captain and the rest of the squad discussed teamwork and tactics. Some of it almost flew over his head, actually, although he'd have been loath to admit it. Sure, he'd read up. He'd learned the theories. He knew what they were talking about, but it would honestly be his first time trying it in practice, and that in itself was a humbling thought.

As things stood, however, he was pairing up with the captain anyway, and their current plan revolved around Kimimaru capturing one of the two perpetrators in what sounded like an ice technique of some sort. He'd have to see what it was like later on, but it sounded like the other pair had the first few steps of the plan figured out. "Well, it sounds like it would just be best for me to stay out of sight until things hit the fan then,"  he spoke up. It wasn't out of dejection or anything. It just sounded like the best way for him to prepare with the skill set that he had available to him. Touya would turn back to the captain. "What's our role going to be in all of this?"

The male listened to their ideas. "I am afraid your plan might be too flashy Kimimaru-kun. People flying will catch the wrong kind of attention. The cloud however, may come in handy" started the ANBU.

His eyes widened when he saw what the younger man did. Yis had created four humanoids that looked like him. "I like the idea. Is it possible for them to change appearance? That will confuse our targets even more" told the man.

The porcelain-masked face turned to the white-haired guy. "Excellent question. I need the three of you to catch our criminals. Ideally, we will do an undercover arrest" informed the captain. He made sure to keep his voice low just in case.

"We both know how the thieves look like. They are most likely worn down after being in jail for over a year. However, they may use civilians as targets or shields. That's what we want to avoid" continued the male. His voice was rather stern.

"Yis-kun, could you please change your clones to teenage girls or children? That will make them less suspicious. Furthermore, they will blend in easier. Nobody would raise an eyebrow if you three are walking next to a pretty girl. My wife won't be too happy however" laughed the owl agent.

If they looked closer, they would spot his ring. "Any questions? If not, let's split up. The suspects can be anywhere. The delivery is coming soon as well" stated the man.


"I want the two of you to be in front of the furniture store. Me and my partner will be near the playground. Keep in touch via the radio. If you see the suspects, alert me straight away. Remember what I said about civilians" finished the ANBU.

[Skulking Shinzu]

“Understood.” Yis snapped his fingers, which caused the features of the clones to morph. Shifting, their facial structures changed to that of a child. Even their hair and eye colour shifted to different shades and their bodies shrunk, widened or thinned, until all four looked completely different from one another. Although now in the shape of children, all four clones looked completely dissimilar – as if they had come from vastly different parents.

“This will probably throw them off the most. Children look the most harmless and make the most effective hostages.” He said while new skin began to ‘sweat’ out from his body to cover the flayed and exposed bits of flesh to leave Yis with nothing more than normal unblemished skin. Seconds later, he removed the Cloud headband from his neck and slotted it into his cloak’s inner pocket just as Neko bent over to land on her front two feet. Now on all fours, she looked like nothing more than an over-sized cat with unusually large eyes. “Lead the way, sir. I can fly too if needed.” Yis smiled towards Kimimaru as each of the Homunculi children paired themselves up with a Ninja. As Kimimaru knew the streets better, he’d be the best to guide the group towards the destination.

Kimi thought about his pplans to use his cloud, he thought it was a great plan. But the owl agent didn’t seem to get he would be on that cloud. But that was fine the owl agent was completely in charge and he had the final say. So kimimaru just modified his original plan a bit, well a bit more than a bit. He smiled as he started the handseals for the Cold Snap Jutsu.

“I will drop the temperature in a four-block area. This will allow us to start affecting the escapees, plus drive more people inside from the area. As it is already cold it should drop the temperature to about fifteen degrees F°. It four-block cold for most people to be out and about for any reason.”

Kimi smiled as he finished his Jutsu, he had started dropping the temperature in the area by five degrees every six seconds. This would give them time to get into place and make the temperature drop seem more normal. He had iron control over the drop and he leads his partner toward the warehouse. He would keep a lookout for anything suspicious or out of place in the area.

Touya watched with intrigue as Yis's clones all began to transform. It was a simple feat for normal ninjutsu techniques to achieve something similar, but his methods of accomplishing it were- unique to say the least. It honestly made his stomach churn a bit as he watched the process.

He listened in as the others went about discussing and adjusting their strategy. By this point, he'd figure out what his role would be, so there wouldn't be a problem on his end. All that was left was for them to wait for the suspects to show up. "I'm ready to go when you are, Sir," he mentioned to the captain. "Lead the way."

The male smiled when he saw the clones turn into children. He maintained that smile when he heard what the boy said. "Lowering the temperature is a great idea. Makes it harder for the suiton user" stated the agent.

"I'm ready to go when you are, Sir. Lead the way" started the ANBU. "Follow me please. I just need to do an adjustment" muttered the man. After looking around, he did some handseals.

His new appearance looked quite ordinary. The ANBU was 5'11" inches tall with a lean frame. His eyes were deep brown, matching his taupe hair. The guy gave his partner a grin.

"There we go. Let's get playing" laughed the brunette. He put on a pair of sunglasses to hide his eyes. His new smile plus nose were identical to his partner's. That would make their pairing less suspicious.

He would walk down the street next to the boy. Most people looking would think they were father and son. The man scanned the streets. He could not see anyone at the street ahead of them. However, he knew there were two side streets ahead of them.

This was the hiding place for one of the prisoners. The blonde was hidden in a side street 50 feet ahead. However, the male was not plain in sight. Being a former soldier meant he knew how to hide. This urban environment made it a lot easier.

He was hiding between two large garbage containers stacked against an apartment building. The trash would mask his scent plus his tracks. The prisoner wore a blue parka plus khakis. His shoes resembled those shinobis wore. However, the guy looked rather gaunt. No wonder given his prison sentence.

His partner was hidden in a side street across the street. Said street was 60 feet in front of Yis and Kimimaru. The street was between the bank plus a Japanese restaurant. Like his partner, the redhead was hiding behind a trash container. He wore a brown coat plus black trousers.

The man sported the same unhealthy appearance as the blonde. Both prisoners had a hip pouch with 14 kunais, 20 shurikens, 20 explosive tags, 2 smoke grenades, 2 light bombs, plus 2 healing herbs. They had nicked them from two wimpy inmates. The blonde held a baseball bat with glass shards in his hands. His redhaired friend held a sickle made out of non-magnetic metal.

How would the four shinobis find them? Furthermore, how would they recapture them? Especially since the delivery people would be here in less than five minutes. Students would be here soon thanks to a school strike. A lot of things were on stake...

Jutsu used [ANBU]:


Henge no jutsu (Transformation technique).
Rank: “E” Rank.
Skill: Ninjutsu.
Effect: A technique used to change into people other than oneself, but also has the ability to change into animals, plants, and even inanimate objects like weapons.
Special: “Handseals”.
Drawback: Unable to change into any size category larger than the user. May not change into anything that is smaller than tiny size category (1 foot). Unable to change their voice. Unable to change their sense of smell. Unable to change their chakra signature. Once the user is hit this technique is dispelled.
Description: Using this technique, the user assumes the form of a creature of same
size category as they are or smaller. User may freely designate the specifics of his new form
(such as height, weight, hair texture and color, skin tone, etc.) User doesn't change their movements, nor handseals speed. In the new form user keeps all their normal abilities unless they use a limb or body part that doesn't exist within the current form. This means the user cannot use any technique unless the body form allows it. User may create equipment so the new form may carry so long as they are not complicated items, or use chakra (Master crafted items, gadgets, explosives, summoning scrolls, etc). User is not automatically proficient in them and their physical strength is not the same as the item. Any part of the body or piece of equipment that is separated from the whole reverts to its true form. Technique lasts 10 minutes per class level.
Limit: Universal ninjutsu technique.


Henge-nin (Transformation endurance). Learned 3 times.

Skill: Ninjutsu.
Effect: A technique that strengthens the endurance of lasting in the henge no jutsu (transformation technique).
Special: “Handseals”.
Drawback: Must learn multiple times.
Description: Allows the user to endure multiple hits while transformed before reverting to their normal state. When 1st learned the user is capable of enduring a “D” Rank attack worth of damage before reverting back to their original form. The 2nd time learned the user is capable of enduring a “C” Rank worth of damage attack before reverting back to their original form. The 3rd time learned the user is capable of enduring a “B” Rank attack before reverting back to their original form. The endurance applies to any and all other henge type techniques. Each time learned user is capable of holding henge for an additional 5 minutes. For additional time length user may learn unlimited amount of times.
Limit: Universal ninjutsu technique. Must know henge no jutsu (transformation technique).

[Skulking Shinzu]

“Off we go.” Yis spoke to prompt Kimi to lead the way. While a single Homunculi child followed Kimi, the cat-like Neko and another child followed Yis. The group would likely look like two young fathers meeting up while their wives were away. An illusion which was skilfully maintained by the children, who every so often played or fought with each other to create an air of natural innocence. “By the way… Do you still hate having ‘people’ inside your head? I can force my words inside your head, but I can’t really read any thoughts you don’t allow. It’s a very limited form of telepathy. Quite non-intrusive, but I won't use it if you don't want me to.” Neko telepathically spoke to Kimi to confirm whether he wanted to hear her voice. With so many innocent lives at risk, she didn’t want to risk upsetting the man in the heat of battle like she had during the strife in the forest.

If Kimi knew the streets as well as he had made out, then it wouldn’t be long before the group reached their marked area. Yis remembered that their starting location would be perpendicular to the street the two targets were last seen in. “Was it left, or right? I could use a pint or two.” Yis spoke casually, much like a civilian would with little care for his surroundings. Although he could remember the map shown by the ANBU, his bearings were way off, and he felt disorientated. It was up to Kimi to lead the way. “Hmmm.” Yis casually muttered while whistling a tune to himself as his keen sense of hearing picked up on something. Utilising sonar, Yis could determine how many individuals were within a 110 meter radius of his body. Considering the sheer number of random civilians in the area, this seemed useless at first. However, not for a master Bard.

Yis wasn’t just limited to sensing location. Yis could sense the heartbeats of everyone in the area – including their rhythm. The prisoners were likely feeling panicked or threatened. Either way, their heartbeats would betray their animosity compared to the far gentler thumbing of the civilians. On top of all this, the Kedoin also possessed the ability to sense bodily specification, such as a target’s height, weight and muscle mass. Focusing this ability specifically around anyone with a large muscle mass and unusual heart rate, Yis attempted to locate the two escapees. If Kimi expressed no issues with Neko utilising her telepathy, then Yis would share anything suspicious noted with Kimi via Neko’s telepathic link in order to ensure that the conversation couldn’t be eavesdropped.

Description: The user interprets sound waves emitted by opponent. By understand the sound waves created by walking, breathing, heartbeat, etc. The user is able to gauge their enemy’s bodily specification, such as their height, weight, muscle mass, etc. until they have literally gathered an extremely accurate ‘picture’ of the person with sound. This also allows them to sense fluctuations within breathing, heart rate, pulse which can help the bard know how tired or ill a specific person is. This is extremely useful in gathering information on opponents before ever encountering them. This skill can be used on any sound originating within twenty meters per rank of the technique known. The sound it is sculpted to must be of roughly equal length to the original sound.

The "A" rank of this skill increases the base distance 10 meters. The "S" rank of this skill increases the base distance 20 meters.

"It was this way, I hate escort missions. I can't believe you three rank high enough to get an escort. But as you can see this area is mostly commercial with some residential mixed it." Kimi was clearly playing into a roll, it was cold enough now that even the locals would be looking for cover. The cold didn't even make him shiver it was normal for him. He kept his eyes active and used them to scan the area.

But he didn't just use his eyes to look. He had taken great pains to train his senses to the maximum. He would test the air with his taste and smell to find them as quickly as possible. He would scan the area for any noise that wasn't normal for this area. His hearing was as sharp as he could make it with normal means. It was as he was scanning that he felt and heard that voice in his head. It caused him to flinch badly. But he kept his cool this time and didn't freak out on them.

Though he didn't even respond to the voice. He had no way to keep to the act he was putting on, if he had responded. But he plastered a smile on his face and it was only reading as a pained tour guide. It was one of his specialties being almost completely unreadable.

Ryuugan (Dragon Eye)

Effect: The power of the Ryuugan Doujutsu is unleashed, allowing the user to see the elements of Lightning, Air, and Water up to a certain distance and increase general seeing distance of one's eyes.

Description: The second stage of the Kazeraikou Doujutsu forces a temporary change of the user's eyes. The iris and pupil of the eye become one and change to a color decided at the first awakening depending on their mood. The color is like a cloud and swirls around the user's eye when looking around. Small lines of white will flash across the eyes like lightning bolts and continually do so as long as the eye is active. Also a slight glow of the eyes illuminate in the dark at this point. With the second stage of the Ryuugan Doujutsu unleashed, it allows the user to see the elements of Lightning, Air, and Water up to one's viewing parameters. One's natural sight is also enhanced giving the capability of 4x zoom capabilities. The user sees the elements as three new, vibrant, and opaque colors that mesh perfectly with their normal vision, giving the user the ability to see the three elements without hindering their normal vision in the slightest. Of course normal vision can hinder this special sight, as the user cannot see through walls or other things as normal.

As the user calls upon Chakra to fuel their Jutsu, the user feels the air around them become chilled. The drop in temperature creates a thin fog that exacerbates the cold in the air without hindering the user's vision or movement whatsoever. This Jutsu causes a powerful cold front to form, lowering the temperature in the affected area by 25 degrees Fahrenheit per Class Level (maximum change of 50 degrees Fahrenheit), to a maximum low of -20 degrees Fahrenheit. Jutsus with the cold capability deal an extra 1 Armour Point of damage per 6 Armour Points when performed in the area.

Touya looked down at the child-like clone that now stood at his side. He hadn't planned for this, and he certainly didn't hold the look of a caretaker about him, nor did he look old enough to be any kid's father. "Go wander around or something," he told the clone, not a single trace of remorse crossing his face for putting even something that looked like a child out in the open as bait. "See if you can't get yourself caught, or at least get their attention."

He didn't have much expectation for the clone. Basic clones were such a rudimentary technique, and were hardly useful in a fight. Maybe these were different. Yis seemed to have put a lot of stock in them, but he'd have to wait and see what they were capable of. Still, the best way for him to be inconspicuous was for him to not be visible at all, and that didn't work well with escorting a fake child around.

Touya ducked into a side street for a moment, getting out of sight of as many people as possible before his figure flickered and vanished like a dying flame into his invisibility technique. Only after he was completely gone from sight did he step back out. It was starting to get cold again. Dammit, if he was going to work with Kimimaru again, he'd have to invest in a winter jacket.

Making his way down the street, Touya strolled down the steadily emptying street, masking the noise of his footsteps in with the locals that were starting to scatter for warm shelter. He strolled with light steps down the sidewalk. He wasn't great at tracking yet, so unless Yis or Kimi made their move first, he would just have be be reactionary until something bad started to happen.
