Stealth
Rank: "E"
Skill: Sophisticated Skill
Effect: User is skilled at avoiding detection, allowing the user to slip past foes or strike from an unseen position. This skill covers hiding and moving silently.
Special: ---
Drawback: ---
Description: Relevant Abilities: Agility Skill. Die Rolls: 1 Die Roll. Check Requirement: Always. Opposed: Observation. An individual or creature uses this skill to hide from a casual observer using available concealment and/or cover. In essence, they try to remain motionless and crouched down or prone, so as not to draw attention. Unless the user hides behind total concealment, however, the user may still be visible to the careful observer. This skill also allows a character to move without being heard, a successful check avoids drawing the attention of observers and thus the user can sneak past them if not in their line of sight. Some practical applications of Stealth follow:
Limit: Must learn from Skills.
0/5, 2 dices +1, 87/185
Despite that the dwarf didn't notice he was, the man still screamed at him for being rude enough to not watch where he was going. The words were in dwarvish, but the way the man said it in was universal and movements were quickly heard all around in the rooms. He obviously had underestimated the vigilance of the dwarfs, which forced the Hoshigaki to improvise his own movements. So Emi looked around in the small hallway and tried to find any good place to hide in, but the only place around that was suitable was a small area of darkness. He doubted that it would be enough for his large stature, but as he had no other choice except perhaps leaving the entire scene, Emi dove into the shadows. It didn't take very long until the entire hallway was full of half dressed dwarfs with small weapons in their hands.
Emi breathed slowly from within his darkness, but he saw that there were several long looks towards his direction. It told him that the opponents didn't really see him, but that they hinted that something was there, as if they saw his contour or some vague hints. So Emi felt that he really needed to find himself a better way to hide before someone more skilled would think of looking in that direction.
