It seems the influence the girl had had on Oros had emboldened her to the point of direct attempts on his body. Oros eyes had been focused on her from the moment she started talking, discussing aloud her opinion of his ‘Beast Magic.’ When she raised her hand, the giant tensed, and he knew that he needed to move the instant the beam began to form on her finger tips. He had watched her use the technique once already, and although it did not seem to affect the boulder, Oros was not naïve to think taking the attack himself would lead to the same results. He needed to move, fast.

Potential energy built up in his four appendages found new life, formed out of an explosion of limbs as Oros leapt diagonally, twisting in the air so, for a brief moment, his arms and legs were facing the sky, before he finished the rotation, landing right side up again two meters from his original position. As far as he could tell, the ray had not impacted him, and the girl did not follow up with a second attack. In fact, she did not look in the best shape at the moment; Oros watched her knees buckle as the girl fell into a kneeling position, braced only by the polearm beside her. The giant did not rush to aid her, as that was not in her nature, but the giant did not seize the opportunity to right earlier wrongs, either. He did not fell the need to, because in his eyes, he had proven that his strength far surpassed hers on this day, and that truth would far outweigh his shortcomings.

The girl had raised an interesting point in regard to his reaction speed. Oros certainly felt faster in the four legged state than he did normally, and he imagined he could string together longer combinations of strikes and counters if it was needed. Pushed to a bipedal position, Oros fell into a Strong Iron stance with an emphasis on defense. Then, focusing on his footwork and his head control, the giant ducked in and out of the shadowed combat, weaving out of the way of the nastiest hooks and uppercuts his imagination could throw at him. In and out, like the proverbial butterfly, in a front of an audience of one.

Warped Visage: Flesh Architect

Drawback: The user can never gain special attributes from the body parts they create and mimic; such as wings use in flight. 
Description: A mastery technique that is gained by the most powerful Kedōin Clan members. A merit of perfect transformation skill. The user is capable of growing and mimicking body parts that would not normally be found on a normal humans. By commanding the cells of the body, the user can grow and shape their body into almost anything they desire. The user may grow themselves a cat's tail, a set of wings, bovine hooves or even octopi tendrils if they desire. The user can craft themselves these body parts to blend into groups or clans that do in fact own these working body parts (such as copying the Anitsisqua). The body parts the user grows can look and appear to whatever the user desires. Alternatively, some users have been known to take the appearance of large dogs for better infiltration, while some choose to appear like horrific demons or odd snake like hybrid creature for an added fear factors. The body parts grown may move and operate like the body parts they appear like. These parts however are granted enough muscles for movement, but not enough functionality to be used for jutsus. Being attacked does not remove the user from this form of transformation. It takes one post to grow or alter the body the user wishes to possess. May not alter the body beyond what the user is capable of within the "Warped Visage: Mass Alteration".

"So that is the extent of what I am capable of at this point is it? Too weak." Ortlinde berated herself bitterly. It was understandable given her circumstances, but she still wasn't happy with how significantly she had been weakened. Louder, though still obviously exhausted, she spoke directly to Oros. "I do apologize for showing you something so unsightly. Although I have confidence in my strength, as you can see my vitality is...lacking."

She slowly pulled herself to her feet by her lance, though her legs still threatened to give way at any moment. She had been reckless in letting her curiosity get the best of her. Any more than that and she could have ended up suffering True Death. This was a detail she intended to leave out of her report, though somehow she expected Oros would not do the same. At least it had yielded results. Given the unnatural way he was able to maneuver his massive frame, Ortlinde had some idea of just how far Oros's abilities were increased.

"That dodge was most impressive though. Not just anybody can avoid an attack like that even if they know when it will come. If I may offer a small critique however, you should not have used so much force. Against an opponent with more vitality, you would have been vulnerable to a second shot while airborne. Try to think of ways to move even after a jump."

For the moment, the Draculina was content to simply catch her breath and watch Oros's movements, analyzing them, memorizing them. There were few flaws obvious enough for her to be sure of, but those were compensated for immensely with his sheer physicality, his raw strength and speed. His incredible tirelessness was almost inspiring.

"Actually, you seem like you have vitality to spare yourself. If it interests you, I could help you learn how to weaponize it, in much the same way as my attack from just now. No strings attached."

Watching him like this also gave her an idea of how the structure of his body had been altered. By analyzing his musculature and applying the resulting conclusions to her own body, she might be able to imitate his Beast Magic for herself.

The user gains a +2 enhancement bonus to Might and a bite attack but also finds speech difficult, suffering a 50% chance of failing to perform any Jutsu with verbal components. It also provides a primary natural attack that deals 20 armour points of damage.
Limit: Must be an Inuzuka member.

Oros was very much the antonym of loquaciousness, a man with a propensity for action as opposed to the spoken word. Those who did not know him well often came to the wrong conclusions, believing that the giant was slow-minded or thick-headed. He was aware of these assumptions that were made of him, but he did not bother to correct them most of the time. No, he just stared blankly at them, all the while processing the information provided. His silence was a choice, not a shortcoming on his mental aptitude. Thus, Oros did not interrupt the girl as she offered her criticisms, seeing the value of them while also knowing that it was not necessary to apply in this specific situation. The girl feigned untapped prowess that Oros had been spared from, but from where he stood, he gathered the sense that Ortlinde had no follow-up; she was spent.

But she was right about one thing: Oros still had energy to work with. The Four Legs technique was very useful to him, but he knew that it was only temporary. There were, however, other techniques a part of his clan that were slightly more permanent that would bolster his prowess. Oros began to channel his chakra as he watched the girl try to catch her breath. Unlike with his earlier technique, the giant focused the chakra to a much smaller surface area in his face and mouth area. Whereas before he was pouring the water from a vessel across his body in an even spread, he was instead filling an empty vase with his chakra, stopping at the allotted point before he put too much into the technique.

Oros could already tell a change in his chakra control after what little training he had done today; he had shaved a few seconds off of this technique compared to the Four Legs one. Once he had the allotted amount, the giant focused on the image of the intended outcome, channeling the chakra into his jaw, teeth, and mouth slowly. He was reshaping his face, modeling it more after a canine than a human, with elongated teeth and a protruding jawline. It was more subtle than an actual dog, but explicit enough that people would have a clear comparison to make when they first laid eyes on it.

It was a very audible change as the bones shifted and grew, popping out of their original position as they moved into their new places. Oros quite literally gritted his teeth through it, feeling the acute shifts for the few seconds it took. He continued until the chakra was used up completely, releasing the image from his mind when he felt it was done. His hands moved to his face, testing the new shape. His teeth were the biggest physical change, with a bite that would be several times more dangerous than before. Moreover, Oros felt a greater prowess across his body. Why, he wasn’t so sure, but he welcomed it none the less.

The grin Oros gave the girl was grotesque. If there was any doubt before, it had been erased now; Oros had the bigger fangs between the two, by far. When he spoke, it came out even harsher than before. “What weapon do you speak of?” He asked, his hands dropping from his face.

Oh, how cute. Oros's Beast Magic had advanced to the point where bit by bit he was transforming into a beast himself. But to so openly invite a vampire to a fang measuring contest was sheer foolishness. Amused by his efforts, Ortlinde's own body was boiling invisibly beneath her dress, shifting with agony that left her fighting not to groan as her bones shattered and reformed repeatedly, shifting their positions in her body and altering in their very structure. She would first duplicate his own ability, and then unveil her fangs in the fullness of their magnificent glory.

Her left hand twitched uncontrollably, writhing like a spider in its death throes as the fingers grew longer and gained additional joints, her nails growing into grotesque talons. She hunched over, both because of the pain and that her spine was growing longer. Her eyes, normally dark, glowed with bioluminesence and pain-driven frenzy. Her attempt to copy Oros's beastform was proving to be a traumatic experience, but she was able to find focus in the eye of the metaphorical storm and keep her wits about her.

"The weapon I speak of...is yourself. Your life, transformed into power. Radiant light to burn through Shadows and deception. Grasping darkness that draws in everything and allows nothing to escape. Inexorable wind that can be neither halted nor contained." Each sentence had a pause as she gathered her scattering thoughts back together and tried to keep breathing as regularly as possible. "What form your power takes reflects your philosophy, and depends on your nature. You may gain the same ability I can use. Or perhaps, something completely different. It all depends on you."

Had Oros been paying closer attention to his training partner, he might’ve been perturbed by the physical transformation. Alas, the giant was thirsty, so he had stopped looking at her all together. Turning away from the girl, he scanned the surrounding area in search of a body of water to drink from, but there was none that he could see. Ironic, really, in a land known for their waterfalls that there was not a single stream or puddle to sip from. Thankfully, the Inuzuka were equipped to combat such scarcity.

Oros had never really attempted this technique before, but better late than never. Channeling a small amount of chakra, less than what was necessary for his prior ninjutsu techniques, Oros spread out the energy through the entirety of his body. Then, concentrating on the image and concept of water, Oros took a deep breath, and then touched his middle and index finger against the wrist of his left arm. He could touch anywhere, really, but the wrist made the most sense.

A feeling of refreshment washed over Oros, quenching his thirst. Unlike ninjutsu users who could turn their chakra into water itself, the giant simply modified it within him to nourish him, while still maintaining its abstract essence. This technique, he was coming to realize, had no benefit in a fight, save for perhaps shielding his body against the effects of dehydration. The day was humid in Waterfall during the summer, and Oros could always tell he was more comfortable in it. He believed he could probably fare well in higher temperatures as well, though there was no way of knowing in this moment.

“Less words, girl” Oros called out, his back still turned to her; he was still, as of yet, unaware of her modifications. She had piqued his interest with this offer of new powers, but unless she sped up her sales pitch, she was going to lose the giant. He so disliked big words.

How rude, turning his back on a lady in the middle of a conversation. Ortlinde was going to need to educate him in proper manners at some point. Like it or not, he represented his village, and no matter how effective he might or might not be in the field, if he couldn't make a positive impression on potential clients then he would drive them away entirely, effectively doing harm to his employer and place of residence. Uncouth whelp. Fortunately for him, she was feeling charitable le at the moment.

Charitable being a euphamism for being in so much pain she might literally bite his head clean from his shoulders if she couldn't restrain herself from inflicting discipline. Her shins creaked and popped grotesquely as they grew a second set of joints and fused with her feet, which were themselves growing much longer and developing sharpened claws, leaving her perched awkwardly like a dog on its tiptoes, her heels sticking out of the back of her shoes which no longer accommodated the shape of her feet.

"Lasers. Or other things. Depends on you," she grunted tersely, her voice sounding unsettlingly hollow, as if spoken in an empty tunnel.

After that, speech became difficult, as her mouth widened, altering the very structure of her skull, until it occupied almost her entire face, her eyes sinking back to become glowing points in otherwise black pits. Her tongue lolled from her open maw, the muscles repositioning so that it occupied the center of her throat rather than the bottom. It also began to swell and lengthen to many times it's original size.

As her lance clattered noisily to the ground, her fingers now too long to grasp it properly, her arms too began to extend, leaving her lanky, misshapen, and nearly quadrupedal. Her teeth shifted and multiplied, forming a ring around her mouth instead of two opposite rows, and all were sharpened to a wicked point. This transformation was a nightmarishly twisted rendition of Oros's own Beast Magic, but although externally her outline was complete, internally it was still incomplete, so the pain persisted.

Oros grunted, his back still turned away from the girl. The thought of lasers did not entice him in the way that she thought it might. He was too focused on honing his body into the weapon he knew it could be. This entire time, he had been improving upon his Inuzuka clan techniques, but he had others that deserved to be worked on as well. Specifically, the giant was curious how well his Four Legs technique would mesh with his other fighting styles, along with a little Akimichi prowess thrown in as well.

The giant fell into the Strong Iron stance, turning his attention to the boulder closest to him. Then, channeling chakra into his right arm, Oros focused on applying the concept of his multi-size technique to a single appendage. By doing so, it would still allow him the unaltered range of motion, including the added agility of the Four Legs Technique, with the added strength of the larger arm. That, along with his claw, should all add up to a strike that was much stronger than a basic version.

Chakra in place, Oros expanded the arm like has blowing into a balloon, the appendage growing to nearly four feet long at its peak. Then, twisting his hips and throwing his body around, Oros through a massive hook at the boulder. Oversized knuckles crashed against the stone, cracking it on impact and leaving an indent behind as he pulled away. His arm dragged against the ground awkwardly, which told Oros that it was not a one-and-done technique; he could maintain it for longer, if necessary. He felt lopsided in the moment—Ortlinde was probably chuckling at how strange he looked right now behind him—so with a bit more focus, he returned it to its former size.

Finally, Oros turned, turning his attention to the girl for the first time in a while. And oh how she had changed.

As Oros finally turned around, Ortlinde's transformation was finally reaching completion. Her insides were still crunching and popping and squelching as her skeleton formed a cage around her expanding organs, which were raised within higher into her chest to give the impression of an unnaturally narrow waistline. Her already pale skin lost all color to become as shockingly white as her hair, pulling back as her muscles swelled in her arms and legs to become wrinkled and tough like leather.

Stepping out of her shoes carefully so as not to ruin them, her toes spread out and expanded like those of a waterfowl, only without the webbing, forming a wide platform on which to maintain her balance. The process completed, the pain finally started to ebb. Only, something was wrong. She didn't feel any faster or stronger. She just felt sore and hollow and tired.

Where once stood a young, ethereal beauty, Oros now found himself faced with what could only be seen as a monstrous reflection of himself.

The figure that had once been an obnoxious child had changed drastically, warping into a grotesque mirror of the giant. Most people would have reacted negatively to such a sight, but Oros was not like most people. He looked Ortlinde up and down, noticing the similarities between himself and this new shape, and laughed. “It doesn’t look anything like me,” he said, shaking his head as he returned his focus to the rock. He had never met a Kedoin before, and was yet unaware of their body’s unique capability to shape itself at will, so he had simply assumed the abomination in front of him was a poor attempt at the transformation justu. “Can you at least shoot lasers now?” He asked, chuckling again.

There was still more progress to be made with the Partial Multi-size technique. Unlike with the full expansion, Oros had to learn this technique one appendage at a time, adjusting to the unique difficulties of each one differently. With his rear arm, his main focus about been about adjusting the process of his strikes, which almost all he knew at this point relying on the execution of the back. Now, this time, he was going to learn his left arm, which he often used as a defense against counter strikes. The weight of the oversized appendage would play a bigger role this time, because he could not rely on his body to carry it around in his strikes quite like the rear arm.

The chakra amount was still the same, and the giant went about channeling it. Despite what the girl-turned-monster had said about his vitality, Oros was well-aware of his limitations in this area. Not only did he have a lot to improve as a shinobi in general, he had also devoted most of his attention over the years on the physical side of his training, neglecting his inner chakra control and amounts until he had joined the academy. He would never have the same reserves as the more devoted ninjutsu users, so he needed to remind himself not to overdo it now. It was a valuable lesson to gain during training, to focus on the quality of a person’s usage as opposed to the quantity.

Once the chakra was in place, Oros expanded his arm, very nearly falling off balance in the first instant. Straining, Oros held the oversized appendage up like his master had taught him, defending against the counter attack. The benefits of such a usage was very obvious from the get-go; the increased size would provide a larger shield against attacks aimed at him. Offensively, his jabs were a little bit harder to throw, without having the luxury of his hips and shoulders to help out, but after a few attempts, Oros was getting into rhythm with that as well.

Like an elephant learning to walk on those thick, stumpy legs of theirs. One step at a time.

It was time for Oros to turn his attention to his legs now, to supplement his kicks during a fight. Channeling his chakra, he directed the necessary amount to his right leg, which he used for the majority of his offense, and expanded the limb like he had done with his arms. The sudden growth knocked the big man off balance, sending him to a tumble as he was forced off of his front leg by the size of his right one. The giant released the jutsu as he rolled through the fall, landing hard on his shoulder before his momentum carried him through to a crouch. He rose to his feet again, rotating his arm a few times to try and abate the stings.

He needed to adjust his tactics for his kicks, it seemed like. He had been sizing his arms up prior to launching the attack because he could still maintain his upright position. With his legs, however, it seemed like he was going to have to throw the kick first, and then expand the leg with it is in motion. The sudden lurch in weight would still be something he needed to overcome, but he believed he could at least plant better. This new variance would require more precise timing that, hopefully, would surprise his opponents in the process.

Falling back into his neutral position for Strong Iron, the giant braced himself for a light kick, channeling his chakra to his rear limb; he did not move until he felt the necessary energy was in place. Over time he would get more comfortable with such a practice, to the point that he would be able to do it while mobile in the heat of combat, but one step at a time for now. Taking a deep breath, Oros launched the kick, expanding his leg while it was in the air, swinging around with intentions of striking the boulder. His left leg nearly buckled, but the giant kept himself upright the whole way through. His shin smacked against stone, cracking it with its impact.

Releasing the chakra, Oros stepped back into neutral position once more to inspect the damage he inflicted.

Ortlinde had been keeping an eye on the sky to keep track of the passage of time. As this was meant to be a one-day exercise, she had booked her travel same-day round trip and needed to be at the docks on time in order to get home.

She reverted to her original form, pondering what Oros had said.

"Is that so? I thought I would be able to imitate your Beast Magic since my moth- er, my caretaker also uses it. I am unclear on how it went wrong. However, much as I would enjoy further trading of techniques, I really must be going. Look into what I said if it interests you - your overflowing vitality can become a weapon in its own right.

"Until next we meet, friend"

With that, she picked up her lance, put on her shoes, and left the designated zone. Progress had been made, and information had been gathered. Meanwhile, her companion had apparently dramatically undervalued her abilities. This was good too, as it made him less likely to remember her skills enough to make a report. Although more detailed observers were most likely stationed to watch her as well. She had shown her preferred Long-range technique, but her preference for melee remained obscured.

Now then...to cross the sea. Again. She braced herself mentally. She hated sailing.
