I Wear The Hat and I Wear The Pants

Momoko Hyūga was busy today. She gave off a reclusive impression, apparently not leaving her brother's home often. Momo didn't care much for their rumors, though. It was a fact that she does leave the home frequently. Mostly at night, though. Today she left the home to execute one of her schemes. Soon, all her plans would come to fruition. She couldn't help but rub her hands together in anticipation. But just then, something came into view that caught her attention.

The stunning glint of sun reflecting off of a glorious set of armor appeared in her peripheral vision. Who was that? Only her brother, of course. Did he know she was there? Probably, but she couldn't help herself anyways. There was another man there, probably another Hyūga elder. It seemed another of these annoying old goobers came out of the woodwork every day. Did Momo recognize this man? Of course not. Did she care about their business or conversation? Of course not.

With that, Momo jumped into the air and dove straight at her brother. Daigo Hyūga surely wouldn't see this diving tackle coming.

It was a very hot day out. Even for Konohakagure. Daigo was in company of another Main branch Hyuuga that day and they were discussing the training regimen of the foundlings that were just inaugurated as ninja this spring.  "Daigo-san, I do believe that you are mistaken with your stance on teaching the lower branches the main house techniques. Do not let her cloud your judgement." Daigo shook his head in disapproval at the old man's attempt to sway his mind. Before he could respond though the devil herself showed up. He spotted her from long away but little did he try and thwart her attempts at hugging him. He'd let her wrap herself around him. When she did the elderly Hyuuga sneered in disgust and removed himself from the situation. "We will speak of this matter later." Daigo rebuttled as Momo was being held by him right over his shoulders. Daigo walked in the direction of his house with Momo in tow. "Momo how was your day? What vile manner of antics did you rope yourself into?" His words sounded metallic as they reverberated in his helmet. Daigo was used to carrying Momo around as this isn't the first nor last time she'd dive at him with her affections. He never really offers affection back but it seems his presence and willingness to accept her love is enough for her. It's how it should be. Daigo wasn't very skilled in compassion.

Good Vibes

Momoko had managed to latch herself quite thoroughly to her brother's helmet. Her pink and blue joggers hung over Daigo's shoulders, with matching sneakers on her feet. Despite the swelter, Momo wore a coat. A pink camouflage hoodie, surely meant to blend in with her surroundings — the very not pink surroundings...

The old Hyūga made himself scarce, obviously displeased by the appearance of Momo. Not that she cared, whatever he had to say couldn't have mattered in the least. Momo grabbed onto the horns of her brother's helmet and used them like vertical handlebars, steering him in an undecided direction.

A query, the tall armored fellow requested a description of Momo's current escapades. She pondered the appeal for several moments, her deadpan face pointed upwards momentarily. "Mmmmmmmmm..." Then finally she smiled and glanced back towards her brother,

"I'm almost done with a village project!"

She'd grab his helmet's horns and move his head to try and steer him but his rigid body would not follow his head's lead. Her answer to his question was that she was almost done with a village project. "Ah, that's new. Pray tell." he'd inquire. The sun was getting lower in the sky and the clouds turned into an auburn and slightly violet hue. It got a bit cooler as they spoke, This walk would last their whole conversation most likely. He'd listen to her as he took a flight of steps up towards the Hyuuga Villa where he and Momo lived.  The surrounding area of the mansion was full of various life. It wasn't in the middle of the village but more towards the water bank on the far east end. The heron flew about on the channel. A hill met at a steep incline from the water to where a small beaten road shifted into gravel and hard stone. A few small shops littered the street and the telephone poles lined the way. Kid's parents yelling at their youngsters to come inside because the street lights were coming on.  Konohagakure was at peace. No real wartime, the Sakura trees dotting the roadway once every few meters showered the people with their petals. The channel itself was covered completely. As they fell and touched the water a small ripple would stir. Daigo took time as he spoke to his sister to appreciate the tranquility of their time together.

They Could Never Turn Me Down

It didn't much matter if Daigo was actually interested in Momo's stories or not. The fact that he listened to her vague schemes was quite endearing, though. Momoko never actually told him exactly what she was doing, and what her intentions were. Her indistinct stories probably didn't reveal her schemes. Maybe.

It didn't take a genius to see what Momo had been up to, and Daigo wasn't the only one either. Others, particularly the Hyūga that saw her on a regular basis grew suspicious of her ploying. Perhaps that's what the old man from before was discussing. But Momo realized long ago that her brother couldn't be manipulated. As they walked, Momo continued to speak of her conquest.

"I beat a bad guy. I might get promoted soon!"

Obviously she was talking about her opposition in the upcoming election. Maybe Daigo knew, but probably not. Kids continued to play as the sky began to change, signaling the waning daylight hours. Soon they'd arrive at their home, but in the meantime Momo continued to steer Daigo's helmet. She directed him in a serpentine pattern, although it seemed as if he wouldn't.

"A  promotion? Hm. Interesting." A promotion in what he thought. Rank? She'd have to go through the Chunin exams like he did to get promoted. The only other reasonable promotion would be the seat of Hokage and Daigo was almost sure this green girl wouldn't have the spot. It's widely contested and even the great Daigo Hyuuga, master of all the Hyuuga Arts would have issues with that. Best not to over think this. He rounded the corner and you could see it. The villa, known to many around Konoha as Cherry Blossom Manner. Year round the Sakura trees were in bloom. Tended to by a woman who specializes in temperature controlling ninjutsu. She often comes over to make sure the trees are in fin shape. He protects her family when they need it in return. Daigo opened the iron gates to his yard and entered. A cobblestone path takes you through a wildflower garden where many different flora grow. Daigo took pride in his gardening skill. He learned to tend to them when he was younger. His gait brought him to the doorsteps where he'd let his sister down from his shoulders and open his door.  Once inside he'd release the lower compartment of his helmet and head upstairs. When he did a loud gush of air escaped from inside. "Momo, you hungry?" I'm going to go change but I'm in the mood to treat you today." The metallic echo was gone and she could here his actual voice. Much smoother sounding and more human. Daigo wasn't often in any way a chatty man but with Momo he could let loose and lower his guard.
