Zuruel
Zuruel appeared in a flash of light, some distance away from the village gates. Before heading deeper into the forest in search for his prized herb, he first formed the unique seal for the shadow clone technique. Five puffs of smoke then erupted, before fading to reveal an additional five clones. Snickering, he headed in search for the Spider Milkweed while playing a special tune with his flute.
Clone 1
The first clone decided to begin its search in an undergrowth towards the bottom of a hill near the edge of the forest. It made sense that a plant like Spider Milkweed could only grow where it did not need to compete for nutrients and precious sunlight with other plants. In which case, the edge of the forest appeared the most likely area to find it.
Clone 2
Zuruel’s second clone adopted a similar strategy to the first clone by deciding to scan through the edge of the forest. However, to cover more ground, it decided to go in the opposite direction to the first clone. Hopefully, this would increase the changes of either finding something useful. This search began with a search for the most common trait of the plant.
Clone 3
The third clone, decided to cover more ground by entering the forest itself. Spider Milkweed was known to grow up to 3 feet in length, which at the very least, meant it could capture more sunlight than some of the other plants and greenery in the forest. Towering above the average height of grass already made it a strong candidate for survival within the forest.
Clone 4
The fourth clone also decided to enter the forest, although it searched for the plant within the western region of the area that lead away from the village. Spider Milkweed, despite growing tall, was no stronger than the average plant. Although its unique dotted pattern and colours could scare away animals, it couldn’t scare away curious villagers.
Clone 5
The fifth and final clone followed closely behind the fourth. It seemed to agree with the logic that the plant had the most chance of thriving and growing within areas untouched by villagers and humans. Spider Milkweed was a delicate plant, despite being so deadly. It could easily be plucked, crushed or destroyed underneath someone’s foot. Most likely, it only grew in the remote regions of the forest.
