Support Issue: Basic Rules
The Issue: So I've been reading through the rules and companions, also searched for answers in this support thread but nothing answered exactly (or links were dead).

So, the questions as follow:
1. Does the starting animal companion require you to have lore about the creature to start with it? If so, how do you calculate your lore? Does this count even for animals that have just a basic cost?

2. Does the starting companion need a bio? Would it register together with character, or which comes first?

3. In another thread I saw that a companion replaces all primary equipment. Is this still true or had I misunderstood?

No you don't require the lore skill etc for an animal that you start with. If you want to acquire one at a later date by searching in the wild however then you would require the relevant skills.

Animal companions and the like all require a bio, further information about the specific requirements can be found here: link As for timing it depends on specifically when you want the animal, you can create it along with your character or at a later date.

Base Creatures: May start with Base Creatures of Common Rarity. Creatures take up Main Weapon Allowance. per the handbook

Thank You for the quick and detailed response!
This does shed some light for me.
Is it allowed to put the creature's bio together with the character's if i want it from the beginning, or should I just link afterwards?

You make the creature bio and post it in the customs for staff to check. Then on your character's bio which would be in the character submissions, you just link the creature bio inside your primary weapons section.

You can then ask staff to grade both at the same time, either through pms or in the box.
