Biting her lower puffy lip she blinked quickly as she first stepped out into the open. The sun [in her eyes] was burning hot… burning her skin so fiercely it was as if she stepped into a flaming volcano pit, or the depths of hell. [Actually, it was a good temperature—not as humid as the last day, yet not dry like the others. She continued to walk down the rather empty street, her legs shuffling on the sand ground as she hardly bothered to keep her posture. Her choppy brunette hair was tangled in a high bun on the top of her head—random strands swishing back and forth across her face as she walked almost like a hunchback. A careless posture as she stayed slouched and dragging… Okay, any one from a far could tell this girl was a bit… sloppy? Non-high maintenance? Either way she was completely oblivious to what she looked like at the moment. [Like she ever].
Oh how poposterous this is! The day so bright and shiny! Wind at such a great temperature! Everything seemed so entirely wrong! Oh how she completely despised the fact she would have to travel to the other side of the village… [Yes, it is a pretty looong walk for her lazy attitude] She felt like she were to die of the lame feeling of hot air—a violent rush of the bad aura which drained her soul to the max. Her pitiless soul which never reached its goal… [For a 14 year old she was pretty dreamy and dramatic] Then again, dramatica was almost like her middle name. In the past had she danced on top of ceilings, made fun of a weeping mother with her child, swum in a bubbly, yet dirty fountain, and broken her arm when trying to catch a small little squirrel she brought into a small tea-shop. Every time she had to apologize it always ended up with a sweet little routine of both sobs, anger, and lies…
Scratching her messy head like an angry kitten, she continued onward until she reached the shop like place—many gatherings in the small little spacing—people shoving their way. Small and agile she simply made it across with slight little shoves here and there, the villagers around her hardly noticing her presence. Well, that was here. Calm and un-noticeable she was—a spreading cloud that hardly got any recognition for the shadow it brings down upon. The small hummingbird flew a few feet above her head, scouting the area around her as it fluttered freely with a mind of its own. Its beak like appearance pointing to north to the direction they were headed.
So why was the girl traveling to the northern part of the village? Well, she honestly didn’t know. It was probably because of the feeling the day brought to her, the wind blowing intentionally to that area. Maybe the strange aura that was leading to that place, or the cool tension of the day. It could have been that quiet alarm in her head which told her to get a move on, and stop moping around in the house. Just something told her to well—go. And she did. In the morning had she placed on her average day clothes, and wrapped bandages over her painful forearms from training. Believing the day would be a rather long one… she simply assumed.
Kaori came to a sudden halt as she appeared in a more secluded area full of just a couple of wanderers, a bench, some random buildings, and a purple colored blooming flower on the corner of the road. Looking around she slowly walked up and sat on the empty lonely bench, staring almost absentmindedly across from her. Without hesitation she brought her knees up, and toward her chest as she sat in a strange position crouched forward as she stayed silent and still. At that point she would look almost like a lost girl who ran away from home. Yes, that was a good one. Hopefully someone came by and offered to take her home with them… Yes, that would be the day!
As she sat on the left part of the bench, the small hummingbird perched itself on the right side of her in a relaxed position. “Awww… Moon, we came all the way here, for this…?” She would say as she stared down at her toes. The bird looked up to her making its little ‘tweet’ noise. “Yes, yes…” Okay, so it might have looked like she was talking to herself like a crazy person… “Was she insane” “Did she enjoy making herself the strange one of the group?”
Why, yes, yes she did.
