Arriving at the Li clan encampment within the hidden sound Village, Sumire was here after having spoken with a li clan shinobi named Sorral a few days prior. After the conversation had where the Li clan member expressed interest in the artistic style of the paper jutsu she used, the clansman invited her to see how she would fare with the clan techniques due to the clear excitement the pair shared over their art.
After arriving at the encampment in her usual outfit, Sumire approached Sorral with a quick introductory conversation she was bought before a pair of artists easels. Under her advice and request, Sumire quickly made up an origami bird and placed it on a table infront of them. Once set up, Sumire was instructed to paint the bird and do it as fast and accurately as possible.
It was fast, but before Sumire even got her brush to the paper Sorral had already finished the painting and summoned it to life. With almost a bit of a gasp at the speed Sumire admired what had happened before her eyes before turning back to the easel before her. Stroke, Stroke, Stroke. She wasn't as fast, no where near, but she painted up the bird that was crafted on the table before her. After looking back to Sorral for some feedback and pointers she was shown once, given advice on how to hold the brush and work on her technique. The speed of the painting was a core part of the Li clan, something which she had a new desire to learn about. After a few more hours of painting and practicing, she felt confident that she had the basics of the painting down ready to begin the starting techniques.
