Earth Compass
Rank: "D"
Skill: NinJutsu
Effect: User can identify North by touching the ground.
Special: Handseals
Drawback: ---
Description: Range of this technique is personal. Target of this technique is the User. Duration of this technique is Instantaneous. By touching their hand directly on the ground, the user is able to determine which direction is north. The user's newfound knowledge of north is correct when using this technique, but they may get lost again within moments if they do not keep track of their movements. This technique gives a +50 to Direction Sense when determining north.
Limit: Must know Earth Release.
Ryokon was blind folded within the woods sensing the tree's around him. Crouching on the ground he started to preform a series of seals. He pulled the chakra from inside of him and sent it coursing through his arm and then down onward. Through his palm he released the chakra into the world itself. Much like a sonar letting it like a wave or a ping instead of a continuous stream. He got a flash of what he wanted to sense but it wasn't entirely certain.
Instead of a stream he just tried to resonate with the earth through his chakra. Much like he was capable of when it came to wood release. He felt a deep connection with the earth as he took slow heavy breathes and with each inhale felt more and more connected. All chakra natures had a different feeling to them and as he picked up on North he had finally achieved the state that he wanted to accomplish. Bounding forward and traveling through the trees.
After a few minutes he tried the jutsu once again. Landing a safe spot and taking off the blindfold. He may have slightly strayed from the path slightly and checked again for the direction of north. Connecting with the earth once more Ryokon was able to pick up on the direction of north yet again. He could feel his disposition and was heading north west at this point. However he was able to correctly adjust his travel.
