Operation: Missing Person (BOLO)
Time: 18:00 Springtime
Location: Otafuku Gai (Red District)
Officer: SGT. Tetsu Nara
The clouds had just started to gather overhead as a crackle of thunder ranger out in the distance. The tall old style cityscape left a stark comparison to the modern officers that rode down the street. The officers had thrown on their dark blue rain jumpers, with Police printed in yellow on the back, just in case the projected weather hit earlier than expected. The clopping hooves of their mounts rang out as the trotted down the paved street that was just beginning to see some crowd traffic.
His uniform was a light blue dress blouse with the KMP logo on the right shoulder and his Sargent rank on the left shoulder. His collar had detectives bars on it. He slowly buttoned up the shirt over top of his worn white beater. Tetsu wore a double Windsor knot black tie that had become loosened by their travel. He wore dark blue trousers that had been secured with a simple tactical belt that held 3 half pouches of equipment. 1 Kunai Knife, 8 Bo shuriken, and 40 explosive tags. His telescope police Baton was folded up in a pouch on his right hip on the belt. his black combat were shoved snuggly into stirrups of the horse’s saddle and his boots were tied over top of his trousers.
Tetsu wore his iconic dark blue, mitheral lined flak vest underneath his open jacket. It was made of a fire resistant material and offered a strong degree of protection for his vital organs. The vest had Tetsu’s Family name, Nara, written across the left vest and hand harness hook ups for 2 slot pouches. One housed 40 locking seals and his pack of cigarettes and lighter. The other pouch held a smoke grenade. His radio was fastened snuggly on his right shoulder harness. His jacket covered the big POLICE written on the back of his vest. His leg holster was fixed to his right pant leg and ensured that his 1 slot of bo shuriken,2 8 100 ml, 3 of which held smell of fear toxin and three of which held Stiltrassa, 2 empty vials, 2 Kunai knives, were secured. His police cap, which sported the KMP logo proudly at the front profile of the cap, sat a snuggly on his head. His condition sensing glasses sputtered information uselessly as they pulled up to their destination.
His dufflebag sat snuggly on the horses’s saddle. Inside were 16 caltrops, 3 spring razor traps (disarmed), 37 exploding tags, 40 locking tags, an electronic compass, a witch’s watch, 8 Kunai knives, 16 bladed knives, a tanto short sword, legions of the undead (book), Miracles and Mysteries (book),a bundle of wire, 3 rebar splints, an antishock blanket, 3 lighters, 2 packs of cigarettes, and 8 empty 100 ml vials.
Tetsu did not mind this gear as he secured the horses and led his little team of officers to the stables as the secured the horses. Tetsu left his bag with the horse, in the first stall, and he stepped out into the street along with his two companions Chikho and Woo.
“This place is really high end,” Chikho mused as they approached the grandiose building. The building itself was a Three story mortar and brick building that had refined golden accents out front. The sign read Honey Theater and Casino and had multiple scrolled drawings of scandalous and provocatively posed women. Tetsu shielded his eyes with the bill of his cap, ashamed to say that these women were famous across the land of fire for their less than child friendly performances. The music inside was blaring loudly as the crowd in front seemed to never end. This was obviously a gentleman’s club.
“Hey buddy what do you think you’re doing.” A big round fellow bellowed as they attempted to walk into the club. The music and lights faded as the doors shut behind the bouncer. He stood in front of them with his arms crossed and scowl on his face that could chew through steel. The little K9 of Chikho’s shook in fear behind the officer as Tetsu calmly pointed at his cap.
“We are with the…” Tetsu began as the fellow interrupted him rudely. “I don’t care if you’re the Daiymo himself, you ain’t gettin in, without payin that is.” He said as a crooked smile climbed across his face. Tetsu knew this fellows type, and usually they were easy to deal with. Testu slowly moved his hand into his jacket and attempted to produce his badge, the fellow grabbed his wrist haphazardly and tried to stop him. “Wea…” he began to shout as Tetsu turned to the side and with his free hand turned the fellows wrist to pin him into a hard counter (Kosadori Nikkyo) Tetsu applied the lock and pulled him to the ground extending his arm and flashing his credentials in the fellow’s face.
“Look, we are here on official business, so I suggest you relax before we book you for obstruction,” he chided coldly as the fellow stopped fighting. Tetsu let him go, standing up and dusting himself off before they proceeded inside. The building was blaring with music as the officers entered into a brothel. There was a grand stage surrounded by about 10 tables, with a curtain that hung open. There was a woman, in nothing but her undergarments, dancing center stage as patrons tossed money at her feet. Tetsu looked for the owner of the establishment as the music loudly masked the sound of 100s of patrons.
