Let them scream....
From the deepest of mists, one these lands had never seen, would their destruction come. They came with the intent of shedding blood, and blood shall be shed. The mist would catch the attention of the villagers within this great capital, but their foolish mistake would be to remain within their domain. They watched with their eyes wide as the mist began to grow, and soon the fiends would be revealed. Quite odd beasts, all the more deadly, and they would fall too them. The guards, they meant nothing to these creatures, for in their wake, nothing ruled over the blood lust.
[Knifer.] The first of them to appear would seem to be an large Ape, the flesh of the creature blowing in the deep mists. What a horrible creature, for what could create such a thing? They are rushing at us, what do we? The questions clouded the spectators minds, but only the smart ones fled for their lives. The ape like creature did not waste energy in much movement, however it did close the gap between it and its prey quite quickly. The creature's fur smelled of rotting flesh, truly this beast could come from no place other then the depths of hell. Within its grasp was there a mighty Cleaver, drenched and now dry with the blood of his prey, and now he has come to find more. Now that he was clearly visible to the world, the people would begin to flee, but oh how late they were in making this decision.
[Chomper.] From the mists would another creature leaps upon a helpless civilian with great ease. The woman would scream for her life, then silenced by the sharp canines of the demonic dog, each tooth ripping the woman's neck to tattered flesh. Another dog would attack this one, killing it instantly before creeping over back to the dead corpse, dragging the lifeless body into the mists to feed upon. These beast weren't the only ones, for soon the sound of howling would grow upon this place, and more would appear. Any who dared stayed would be awed by the appearance of these beasts. Their flesh only remained in a few places, most of the missing epidermis upon their rib cage, revealing the heart that still beats through the flesh, however not proving to be a creature of the living.
The wild beasts crept quicker through the mist, as well as the odd looking apes, which grew in number. Most fled, however they were trapped, and there was no where to hide nor run from this fate. A man would attempt to run from a close by beast [Knifer.], however overcome by the speed and strength of this creature. The ape would leap onto the man's back pinning him down to the ground before his right hand would lift to bring the cleaver to its highest reach, before slamming down upon the skull of the man. The ape beat its chest with its open hand in victory, but soon the guards would attempt in holding their duty. The creature would only look at them as they charged, and once they did, they fell like the rest, for the beast seemed quite ready for this, showing a sign of intelligence within the deadly looking ape.
The scene was getting grotesque by the second, but would this madness be stopped before the entire capital was silenced by the creatures? Not to mention that hell had held back within this attack, for the mists had yet to unleash the true beast from with.
