Field of Dreams

A 50 meter stretch of pure grass surrounding the Palace of the Empath. This grass is often a place where Noble families may enter and relax. Often people can be seen meditating, or relaxing, or even sparring. Use of fire however is strictly forbidden. Guards are scattered about, along the rims of the gates, and wall carefully watching for anything suspicious.

Town was indeed nice. The Field of Dreams was a beautiful place, as many other Airontoku's could be found meditating around the pure grass ring that surrounded the Empaths Ring. Grinning some, Ramza proceeded towards the inner ring of the Empath. He was in seek of council with the Empath himself, and perhaps would be assigned a mission, or multiple missions under the Empath, as it had been some time since Ramza had actually embarked on a mission at all. Moving swiftly throughout the grassy field, Ramza would make his way towards the gate, ever grinning. It wouldn't take long for the gate to open and Ramza's entrance to be approved. He was off to work once more, as his time had come for him to do his duty and work for his village once more.

Passing through the many gates sealing off and protecting the Empaths Palace, Ramza would find himself once again in the beautiful valley of the Field of Dreams, where the grass was a plentiful. Breathing in the delicious air of the field, the Airontoku would move forward and continue through the crowd of meditating people and even some other training their hearts content in the field as he moved towards the City's Highway. Running, he would make it to the Gate for his newly appointed mission quickly.

Kaze Kiri no Jutsu (Wind Drill Technique)

Effect: User is capable of breathing inwards and exerting outwards a large like arrow to pierce into the opponent's body as it drills inwards increasing the damage.
Special: User takes in a deep breathe filling their lungs with air.

Description: The user molds chakra and breathes in. He or she then blows out and an arrow made of wind is shot from the user’s mouth as the arrow is shaped into a drill. This arrow may be blocked as it is just a large consumption of wind, however it can not be deflected away. This means that the object must be large in size enough to defend from one against the wind, however due to the fact that it is a drill it is capable of drilling through hard rock, and wood in order to hit into the opponent, or make a hole in order to allow the user to attack with another technque. The size of the arrow is the size of the opponent's mouth with the length of three feet as it can travel up to the distance of twenty meters. This technique is used for short range to stear an opponent away from the user. Once this technique hits the ground it quickly dispels.

Passing and going through all the city's gates that sealed off and protected the Empaths palace, Ramza found himself within the Field of Dreams. Many people came here to spar and train, and even show off a bit. Ramza himself, was personally here to train. Quickly reaching into his weapons pouch, he grabbed hold of the first scroll that he could. Bringing it before himself, he unrolled it, and read it off silently. Wind Drill.

Ramza wasted no more time on idle dabble. Ramza would take his first whack at this technique. He already knew how to blow arrow from his mouth, so he figured he would do that first, to get, ya know, warmed up so to speak. Ramza sucked in air, formed chakra within his mouth, and rolled his tongue over to form a arrow of shorts within his mouth. Ramza exhaled with great force, and the arrow came out, and pireced a nearby tree, leaving its mark, and quicklt there after disappearing. Ramza felt ready to move on to bigger and beter things, and to the actual training of this specific technique. Ramza inhaled, and formed chakra within his mouth this time, rather then his lungs. Ramza exhaled after trying to twist the chakra within his mouth. The win came out and hit the tree. Nothing. Worst then the wind arrow technique. Ramza had a long way to go.

This technique was going to take time to learn and process, and Ramza could tell. Ramza inhaled once more and formed chakra within his mouth. He really tried to twist the chakra and bend it, and make it a drill like form. Ramza could no longer hold the air or the chakra, and with a violent exhale, the air escaped, spiralling and doing nothing once more. Ramza was already starting to feel the agrivation come over him. This was pretty annoying. I mean, how did they want him to go about learning such a thing by twisting your own chakra? Have you any idea how hard that is? Anyway, it looked like it was back to the drawing board for Ramza.

Ramza looked at the scroll once more. He did this everynow and then when he was trying to learn something, he would re-read the scroll once more, helll, he had been known to do it a couple of times over. It was never a bad thing, Ramza couldn't even count the times where he had been trying so hard to learn a said technique, and he had been doing it wrong because he read the scroll wrong. At any rate, Ramza began readin the scrolls contents once more. After doing such, Ramza could find no flaw, nothing wrong with how he was trying to accomplish this technqiue. This was even more annoying.

Ramza simply stood back up and got back to work. He took a normal breath for good measure, and to stretch out his lungs. Wait- That was it! Ramza had to stretch out his lungs, and make a stronger lung capacity for this to work properly, how stupid could he have been. Now it all made sense. Ramza's lungs couldn't handle this technique, because his lungs weren't strong enough, that had to be it. If it wasn't? Then forget about it, Ramza would go A-Wall. Anyway back to the training exercises. Ramza had thought for a brief moment how one would normally go about stretching thier lung capacity. He found no answer, instead, he would dabble and experiment with his own ways for a little while until he felt he had found it.

Ramza inhaled as much as he possibly could. His lungs felt like they would explode again at any moment. Ramza exhled after trying to hold it there for quite some time. Ramza took a couple of breaths normally for a moment, before he finally took yet another huge deep breath. Ramza held this one, also for as long as he could. His idea at the moment, was to increases lung capacity by simply forcing it to slowly exceed its maximum capacity. It sounds simple, really, but its anything but that. Ramza also had to try and factor in chakra somewhere in there to see if maybe that would help out alot. Ramza, while holding in this specific pull of air, began to mold chakra within it, to try and maybe use that to pry open some sort of lock, that was holding the capacity at where it was.

No dice. Ramza was once again forced to exhale. Ramza took a couple breaths after exhaling, he also had to not rupture his lungs making them useless, especially without medical help nearby. Ramza qould not let this deter him however. Ramza inhaled once more, molding chakra within his lungs and Holding his lungs at a maximum capacity now. Ramza however, took it one step further. He started to walk around with the air within his lungs now. Ramza walked around, in circles, normal special, just simple movements around the pond in his yard. Ramza then exhaled after holding his breath for about a whole minute.

Handseals, were formed, as Ramza would slowly but surely inhale. Ramza, would mold his chakra within not only his mouth, but lungs as he did so. It would seem to have been done in one great blast, as Ramza would exhale, the blast of wind that would exhale from his mouth would be a large wind blast, that would be semi sharp. The wind blast that Ramza exhaled would be launched towards the tree that Ramza found in his sights shortly after inhaling for the original technique. The blast would ripple througout the air and find itd mark quite accurately enough, and make a large imprint within the bark of the tree.

Turns out, Ramzas blast that was shoot out from his mouth was no more then a mere fat wind arrow. He had actually probably made the technique wosrt then had made it better then his first couple attempts. Ramza sighed a bit upon realizing this, but held high spirits, for whatever reason, and would soon try again. Ramza would form said handseals, and inhale a deep breath, Upon doing this, he formed chakra in both mouth and lungs, mainly the mouth area, where the actual technique was being done. Ramza had to do things a bit different;y this time around and try to experiment with the actual technique. Why? Ramza had to try different things to get this juts right.

Ramza's first idea and thought was twisting and molding chakra within his mouth, thus forming the drill itself. This was much much easier said, then of course done. Ramza tried his hardest, and he, and probably you would be surprised at just how hard it was to twist wind chakra within ones mouth, even with the assistance of one's tongue. Thats right. He was also using his tongue, intelligently enough, however, it seemed it was, well, all for nothing, in lack for better words. No matter, Ramza would exhale, and assess what happened.

Upon exhaling the air, it actually did something Ramza did not expect, but it seemed within this training regiment, one would soon become accustom to expecting the un-expected. The drill like wind, no, twisting wind like technique, would have torque, and so much, that it would force the technique to spiral out of control, and hit sixty degrees southwest of its intended target. Ramza cared not at the moment that it missed its target, he now only cared for the damage, to see if it would have enough force to pierce though the tree at all. As it turned out, the wind drill like technique pierced and destroyed about half of the tree. Progress, was being made.

And so Ramza would have to think and analyze a way to better his training within this technique, so he could finally friggin learn it, and get on with life. This technique, Ramza could say, truly agrivated him to really, no end. Ramza would let out a nice big sigh, as he usually did about things such as this. Ramza wasted no more time. All he coudl do now was wait for Mina to arrive and hope he had been able to learn this technique before he left with Mina to go look for a weapon. Ramza inhaled deeply, taking aim at his new target as he did so. Ramza would modl chakra within both his lungs, and mouth. Ramza had twisted the wind within his mouth last time, but maybe he had just done it too much last time, and a couple more tries with that would do the trick. Only one way to find out

Ramza began to slowly start to try and twist the wind chakra within his mouth as he held it there. Once again, it was much much easier said then done. The chakra within his mouth slowly gave way and started to twist. Ramza quickly added more chakra and felt the wind within his mouth slowly start to form a more slender and needle like structure within. The chakra was still ever twisting within his mouth as he finally, in one fell swoop, exhaled the great force from within his mouth, as he aimed it towards hie target, which in this case was a tree.

The wind did, however meet its intended target this time aroundas Ramza shoot it from his mouth. The twisting and turning chakra he shoot from within did manage to destroy the tree, and rip through it. A smirk, once more, came across Ramza's face. He was pleased that he was able to to finally make some noticable progress with this technique. He wasted no more time however. While he knew what he was doing and how to fix it, he would continue his training and keep up with the jutsu. Ramza inhaled, forming and molding chakra within both his lungs and mouth. Ramza molded and used his tongue once more to mold and twist the chakra of wind within his mouth in an attempt to form a drill.

This tooke a couple of seconds, but it wouldn't take long before Ramza would exhale the balst of wind from within his mouth at his next target, which was, yet again, another tree. Using the trees at the moment was a good idea, but he knew it wouldn't be long before he would be forced to upgrade to boulders and possibly even humans if he was in the mood for such things. This was because Ramza knew by reading the description of the jutsu, that this technique could litterally cut through just about anything. Ramza soon realized, however, how silly he sounded. Use it on a human? He could pierce a tree with the technique clear as day, but was worried about other people. Ramza let out a funny little smirk giggle as he thought of such things.

Ramza would try once more, at this technique before he would go to sleep. It had been a long day, recieved a note from Mina, and continued his training within the wind drill technique. Ramza inhaled one more time. He formed chakra within his lungs and mouth. Ramza molded chakra within his mouth more, and rolled his tongue back and forth, in an attempt to both slender the wind chakra, and twist it some. Ramza held and continued twisting the wind within his mouth, until finally, he released it at the tree, which was once again the intended target. The wind drill hit the tree, but swayed a bit in the air, and was off its mark. Ramza watched it rip through the ground where it had landed, however. Ramza sighed a bit after realizing he would really have to work on aiming such a thing before he could really rely on shooting it at someone.

Morning had come, and Ramza rose from his deep slumber. He couldn't recall having a dream of any sort, but it felt good. Sleep, that is. Awaking from a deep slumber to lay upon his tent innards, and just lay there, not doing much, thinking about the night, and cooking up some eggs he found th night before from a crows nest. Not to mention heating up a rice ball. Ramza smiled as he smelled to eggs he would cook, as he was now sitting indian style outside the tent, cooking food on the fire. and the sun was ever shining. It before long the food would be ripe for eating.

When the food was done, Ramza still found himself, a bit tired to say the least, but his belly was full, and the training could commence. Ramza wondered where Mina was, they were supposed to meet here, and go find Shobatsu, but it was better this way, or so Ramza felt. Ramza stood up and stretched out his limbs, and took in a deep breath, and exhaled. It was time. Ramza inhaled, forming and molding chakra within both his lungs and mouth. Ramza molded and used his tongue once more to mold and twist the chakra of wind within his mouth in an attempt to form a drill.

This took a couple of seconds, but it wouldn't take long before Ramza would exhale the blast of wind from within his mouth at his next target, which was, yet again, another tree. Ramza was pretty bad at aiming this thing, not to mention he highly doubted it had the firepower to do any serious damage like the technique was supposed to do. The drill hit the ground and tore up the earth. Ramza had to move on to some bigger and better targets.

And with that, he would head out. Luckily, he was right out on the deserts edge wheres the earth and trees would meet the sand, and there was a few large boulder formations set up and around the area, which would prove to be great, as unexpectedly as that may sound. Ramza would set up here, which was about a thirty second walk from his original camp site. Ramza looked up at the sky, and then around at his surroundings, to get a feel for the place, find any weak spots where he could get attacked. He still had to remember, he was a missing cloud ninja, they could be anywhere. Ramza smirked after looking around, there was no one, and honestly, he was getting paranoid.

Ramza inhaled, forming and molding chakra within both his lungs and mouth. Ramza molded and used his tongue once more to mold and twist the chakra of wind within his mouth in an attempt to form a drill. This took a couple of seconds, but it wouldn't take long before Ramza would exhale the blast of wind from within his mouth at his next target, which was, this time, a boulder. The wind drill would swirl through out the air as it would meet its huge target. It really couldn't miss, to be quite honest, the boulder was so damn big that anyone was missed this thing should be, well, down right ashamed.

The drill of course hit the boulder and didn't really do anything. It didn't really hit the exact spot Kooir had wanted ti to, but it his the boujlder atleast, and Ramza was thankful for that. The damage upon the impact of the drill was minimal, if any at all. Ramza would walk up closer and examine the boulder more closely. There were minor scratches and such, and Ramza couldn't even be sure that was form him. Ramza sighed some after realizing that this might take a bit longer then he originally thought. No matter, it was back to work for Ramza. Hopefully, he would have this thing down by sun down.

And there it was. The god damned boulder. Was this silly little drill Ramza spat from his mouth really supposed to have enough force and spiral to cut through solid rock? Only time would tell, and one could only train in time, and thats what he would do. Ramza felt as though he was very close to finally completing this technique. Ramza straightened his back as the brisk dusk air past his face. Night was coming, and Ramza would have put more then scratches in this rock before long, or else there would be no sleep, for Ramza.

Ramza sighed as he twitched a bit from the cold air passing him by. Ramza inhaled deeply. He molded and formed the chakra within his lungs and mouth as he did so. Using his tongue itself, Ramza attempted to still, twist and turn the wind chakra within his mouth to form a screw, or drill like device. He continued to do so while modling chakra, it was amazing what someone could do in mere seconds when they put thier mind to it. With that, he let out a blast of wind from within the confines of his mouth. The blast ravaged and whipped and twirled throughout the air as it would soon make its way to its intended target, which in this case was the boulder.

The blast of wind would hit the boulder with great force, infact, so much that Ramza felt the backdraft come off as impact was made upon his target. Ramza winced from the backdraft, as it would soon end as quickly as it began. Ramza, slowly removing his hands from his face would walk up to and upon the boulder at which was his target for such a technique. Marks? nothing other then a chip in the rock face. Ramza however, knew that such a mark was not present earlier on in his training regiment. A smirk, once more would find its way to Ramzas face as he knew, that even now, progress was made and that made him that much closer to finishing and learning this jutsu.

Ramza backed away from the rock face, and shook it off. He would have another go at it. Wasting no more time, Ramza would inhale the very breeze of wind as it whipped past his face and went into his lungs and mouth. Ramza, forming and molding his chakra with such wind as it entered his system, was also at work with the twisting and turning of the immediate chakra and wind within his mouth. This, would hopefully give it the torque and power needed to pierce through and or cut this boulder, as the techniques description was on paper. Ramza pumped more chakra then normal. He felt he was getting down the whole twisting chakra thing down, but he felt it didn't have enough impact force or destructive power as other would call it.

And now to find out if what he had doen would actually work. Not to mention, the art of actually aiming this damned thing. So he did, aimed it right at the huge boulder, which in this case was hard to miss, but still, Ramza would prefer if the technique he used hit its intended target every now and then, just saying. With one great big exhale, Ramza expelled the blast of wind from both his lungs and mouth at the same time. The wind blast would twist as it exitted with enough torque to form, you guessed it, a drill. Ramza was so excited he had managed to shape it correctly, he really didn't care about how much explosive force or power it would have upon impact with the boulder.

But it would, however hit its mark pretty accurately, which was also pleasing to Ramza. Perhaps it wouldn't be long before Ramza would have this technique in the bag. the wind, once again, made a nice backdraft, forcing Ramza to wince at such a thing. Chips of earth woulf flutter and fly past his face as he blocked with his hands and arms. Ramza soon realized later the sooner, that he was way to close to safely continue the training with this technique. A huge chip had been made within the boulder now. I mean, big. A good ten percent of the boulder had been completely cut off, and left a nice little gap on the middle of the boulder, directly where Ramza had aimed the shoot upon firing. Excellent. He would have this down yet.

Even now, so far into this technique, did you really think Ramza was going to give up that easily? I didn't think so. The smirk had done anything but leave Ramza's face, especially now, when he was so close. Ramza stopped for a moment, however. He had to breath, and let his lungs rest for a little bit. Repeating such a technique over and over tiring not only on the body, but on the chakra. Infact, Ramza was soon forced to sit himself down, he was really worn out from such a technique that took up so much chakra. Ramza woudl take in ddep breaths, and his vision would become normal again, after blurring for a few moments from lose of breath for repeating it so much.

After his little break,he slowly began to stand back up, stretching, making sure blood would flow properly into and throughout his entire body. Ramza soon felt better about himself not before long, and quickly took his position back in front of the rock face. Ramza took a couple of deep breaths before finally inhaling with one deep breath. Ramza would twist and mold the chakra within both his mouth and lungs upon inhaling. He twisted the air in his mouth, mixing it with the chakra, and twisting it to force a form of a drill. Chakra was also added to the chakra within his lungs for power and force.

Ramza, with one shoot exhaled the great force from within his mouth. The wind took form of a drill no doubt, and was extremely accurate. through trial and error Ramza was now able to predict where he had to point such a technique for it to hit Ramza's target. The blast had alot of chakra force behind it, and hopefully the needed twisting power behind it to back up that power. The drill accurately hit its target and demolished the huge Boulder. Ramza had no words, nor actions, even as debris flew past his face, where he would have usually winced. No emotion, only shock. He honestly, could not believe he had shoot that thing from his mouth.

Then again, Ramza had recently taught himself how to blow a Tornado out of his mouth, that could explode with two exploding tags. He easily forgot things such as this, but still, it ripped through a boulder. Now, Ramza knew that wind, chopping up earth made sand, but this was a much, well, larger scale demonstration, as he could swear there was more sand and it was because of the wind cutting up the boulder. Truly, something amazing. The smirk upon his face grew only bigger upon witnessing such a feat, infact, he did nothing except prepare himself for the next shoot. Ramza, more or less still in position, would begin to inhale.

As Ramza inhaled, he soon realized, he no longer had a usable target. He had demolished the other one, and quite frankly, he could see no more in sight. What was he to do? He didn't have an answer quick enough as the wind chakra was taking form in both Ramza's mouth and lungs. Using his tongue as per usual, Ramza would twist and turn the Wind to his liking, that of a drill, and force combine chakra within the air in his lungs for power. Still, nothing could be seen as far as Ramza could see. Not good. He can't hold such a technique within himself for too long, not safely, anyways. As if a blessing from the gods Ramza found a another rock not to far away.

This would be Ramza's true challenge. Not enough time to run up to it, and with the wind factor, aiming would be the fate to over come in this obstacle. Ramza, exhaled the wind from within his mouth and lungs at the intended target. The wind drill made its way, as Ramza leaned the shoot a bit, both because he was at his limit, and to counteract the wind factor. The drill, hit its target dead on, beautiful. However, there was no "debris", or "sand", instead, Ramza saw a clean cut hole through the boulder. Solid, and cylinder like. Ramza would get closer and soon realize that this was excellent, and just what the scroll described. Perfect, he had done it.

Ramza at this point was long out of breath. He sat down and plopped into a Indian style sit. Ramza huffed, and puffed, and tried to fill his lungs with oxygen. His head raised, and he stared up at the boulder from which he had fired the Wind Drill at. There was a clean cut hole within it. It took a second for the Airontoku to catch his breath, but once he did, he stood, and calmly walked towards the Boulder. His eyes peered through as he half rested on the boulder, half looked into it. He wanted to see the actual trail of the technique, see what it did, how it attacked, analyze how it worked and learn from that information, and continue on with the technique. The Blast was a spiral, a clean cut spiral hole. Something that resembled a screw of some sort, piercing right through the rock face. A Bottle of water was extracted from his pouch, and opened up. A few gulps later the bottle would emerge from his face and be capped, only to be put back into the pouch, as Ramza analyzed his own work.

The Drill worked exactly as he had expected it to, but he felt it took more chakra then it should. He was overexerting himself to make up for the lack of skill within the technique in order to complete it. This, was a dangerous way to do things, it left the user almost dried up on chakra and useless for the next couple of minutes in a fraction of the battle time. This, was no good. Inhaling deeply and closing his eyes, Ramza once again focused and meditated. He needed to refill his chakra supply before continuing with the technique, and he needed to reflect on how to better its usage.

--Time Lapse: 30 Minutes

Ramza, stood, and stretched, allowing the blood to pump and flow all about his body once more. He had formulated a great plan on how to finally finish this technique and put it in the bag, so to speak. Ramza, with one final deep exhale, came one great big inhale. As Ramza inhaled, he soon realized, he needed to know what he was going to use as a target. He didn't have an answer quick enough as the wind chakra was taking form in both Ramza's mouth and lungs. Using his tongue as per usual, Ramza would twist and turn the Wind to his liking, that of a drill, and force combine chakra within the air in his lungs for power. Still, nothing could be seen as far as Ramza could see. Not good. He can't hold such a technique within himself for too long, not safely, anyways. Ramza found a another rock not to far away, behind him once he turned, without damage to it.

Ramza exhaled the great beast of wind from his mouth onto the opposition, with was another boulder. The twisting wind drill flew out, and to its target with speed. The drill pierced the boulder, and not even debris flew off it once the two forces met each other. It was a clean solid cut once again. The Hole, upon further inspection, was slightly off the the right and down, from where Ramza had originally aimed it, but with time working against him in the effort, it was a small price to pay.

The Boulder had a clean cut spiral through it once again. Ramza, hadn't really aimed it as well as he would have wanted to, but practice made perfect, and the more he did it, the further he got with it. Taking deep breaths, Ramza took another note. The Technique left the user breathless, or atleast Ramza for a short amount of time. Such a force of wind coming from your throat and mouth area would leave anyone short of a Kazechuushin out of breath. Huffing, and puffing for a bit, Ramza easily regained his breath, and took a step back. Now, without having to scramble for a target, he could focus more so on the rock, but then it hit him. His opponent wasn't just going to be standing still, waiting for him to strike him down with a technique, he was going to be moving around, fighting with everything he had. He needed a moving target, or in this case, he needed to be moving around himself, that was as close as he was going to get to a actual moving opponent, anyway.

Focusing chakra in and around his throat area, He prepared himself again. The excellent part about this jutsu, and Ramza told himself a hundred times before, is the fact that it required no handseals. The element of surprise was a total possibility with this technique. Chakra about his lungs now finally, and then some in his mouth, Ramza quickly inhaled a large amount of air into his lungs. Twisting his tongue rapidly, Ramza formed a small drill , and the re enforcing chakra in his lungs and throat would only make it bigger and deadlier. Ramza, quickly put in play his stage of training the wind drill. He jumped up, and to the right side, and landed, and ran as fast as possible around the rock. He zig zagged and made wrap around movements all around the rock until he was ready.

Ramza, took aim at the boulder once more, and with a sudden exhale, unleashed the wind drill to the rock before him. It spiraled throughout the air until it met with the boulder. It was yet again, another clean cut drilling. No debris was unleashed throughout the rock, and the same spiral like design was left within it as before, with every other successful strike of the technique. Ramza slid to a halt to examine, and after such was done, quickly planted his feet on the rock's top, and back flipped. Why? Who knew, Ramza didn't even know, he was that spontaneous and random. As he back flipped, he inhaled and molded chakra as fast as possible to his lungs, mouth, and throat. Using his tongue as he inhaled, The Airontoku quickly twisted and spun the wind in his mouth into yet another, small drill like shaped creation. With one fierce blow from his lungs, Ramza exhaled the wind drill out and straight through the rock and annihilated it easily. The man landed on his feet, to look at the destruction he had cause. Leaving the Mission palace, Ramza was out to do another mission, and he was quick to walk through the field and to the village highway.

Leaving the Via Celerius, Nenshou finally found himself in the outskirts of the Empath's palace, and he began his walk toward the Palace itself where he would speak with the Honored Brethren. Ignoring the beautiful weather and the waves that he got from some of the women in the field, he kept his eyes on the doorway to the Palace, where he would finally see if his wish would come true. As he made his way, he checked out the guards that were stationed around the Palace, and realized just how important the Empath was. Many people would love to see him dead, the city could have some problems without having Nenshou there, but they would have to deal with it. As he neared the door to the Palace, he finally decided that this may be the most important thing that he would do within the Iron Citadel...

Finally set out for the free world out there outside the Iron Citadel...
