Sighing and turning to face the man, flames flickering to behind him. "And here I thought, severing your arm would make you flee. Hmm...I'm usually right about such things, but I guess there's always an exception to the rule. I'll just have to sever all your limbs..." Hogosha said, forming handseals and holding the last sign. Then, he pulled out his sword with his free hand as his shadow began to form tendrils and floated towards the katana, covering it in darkness.
Hogosha raced at him and gave his black-edge katana several quick slashes as he passed.
The man just stood there for a second, then collapsed to the ground, a large cut forming from his sternum to the top of his head. The man lay there, motionless.
Releasing the shadows from his sword and reseathing it. He calmly walked to the woman, and picked her up. looking down at her, he smiled warmly, "Are you O.K.?"
With a small nod and a faint smile, she put her arms around Hogosha's neck, holding tightly. Hogosha made the decision to stay in town as long as he could to help the villagers rebuild. As time passed, him and the woman he saved that fearful night became closer and closer. Eventually, Nushi and Hogosha were wed and Hogosha took a job as the village's chief protector.
About a year had passed and soon word spread of Hogosha's skill and leadership and he was requested to become an official shinobi of Stone Village. Accepting the offer, Hogosha and Nushi moved to the capital city.
Two years after Hogosha and Nushi were married, their first son, Zambatuo was born and where our story really begins...
Awaking to a bright and radiant sunbeam reaching into his eyes, Zam rubbed his eyes and yawned. As his eyes adjusted to the now lightening room. Posters of famous bands and medical diagrams littered the walls to the point that the wall paint couldn't be deciphered.
Stretching once more and Zam went to the closet and got himself dressed. Suddenly it clicked in his head. "Today's Graduation Day!!!" Zam yelled to no one in particular. Suddenly in a rush, he hurried downstairs, to his awaiting parents.
"What's your hurry kiddo?" His dad inquired, smiling at him.
"No time for breakfast, I get my headband today!!!!" Zam added, bum-rushing the down before being yanked to a stop my his father grabbing him by the collar.
"Wait up, Zam. I want to talk to you before you head out. Today is an important day for all of us." Hogosha replied calmly as Zam struggled to release himself, to no avail.
Pulling Zam across the floor and sitting him down at the dining room table.
"Listen son, as you well know, you're becoming a full-fledged ninja today. And if you'll listen to me, I'll teach you a jutsu." Hogosha stated to his son, his generous smile unwavering.
"Really? A new jutsu? Sweet!! What's up?" Zam replied, his excitement renewed and bolstering by his father's words.
"Listen close and listen good, Zam. The friend's you've made at the Academy. I want you to protect them with all you've got. Without your friends, there's nothing else to live for." Hogosha stated, his usually warm smile completely erased from his face.
"Um...ok? Sure." Zam replied, confused horribly.
"Promise me that ok?"
"I Promise."
"Ok, now for that jutsu. This jutsu comes from my past. I originally came here from The Leaf Village in Fire Country. My family there are all very close to each other and we pass on jutsus within the family, that only we Nara's know. I'm going to teach you the most basic of the Nara family jutsus: Kagemane no Jutsu. Follow me... Hogosha explained, getting up from his chair and heading towards the backyard.
"Yeah...ok." Zam replied once more, getting up to follow his father....

NonePersonality:
Friendly and Rebellious. Two wolds that one wouldn't normally see in the same sentence, however, in Zam's case, this describes him fairly well.Appearance:
"Life is a precious thing and isn't something that should be given away lightly." This is one of Zam's favorite sayings and defines his view about life. This is also one of Zam's core values and is the major reason for his decision to concentration on becoming a Medical Ninja.
"Corruption is a disease that awaits cure." Another one of Zam's sayings, it helps guide his conscious and helps guide his decision-making processes. It is also why he tries so to help anyone he meets. Zam believes that if as he heals someone's physical wounds he can release the corruption held within them. Maybe it's naivety on his part or maybe it's just wishful thinking...
Zam loves to meet new people and enjoys being around others. When not enjoying some ramen or other goodies, he can be found training or sparring with one of his many friends, even if they aren't "real". Zam feels that combat training as well as actual combat keep his Medical techniques sharp.
"The best Medical Jutsu is the one not used." Yet another quote from Zam's arsenal, it defines the reason why he still practices his actual combat skills as well as his medical techniques. He believes that if he can defend his friends before they get injured, then he's done his job well. Zam's medical background shows his lack of confidence in his combat skills and provides a sort of "back-up" for when his combat abilities fail him.
Quite intelligent but tends to hide it for fear that it'll push away his friends, Zam acts clueless and "ditsy" much of the time. He tends to astonish those close to him when he spouts out random knowledge or quotes, since it isn't expected of him at all.
Some of Zam's hobbies include reading Medical Textbooks and his favorite manga, "Death is only the beginning." Also, he enjoys origami and tinkering with weapons or anything that allows him to use his hands, really.
People say that Zam has his mother's hair with his father's face. He has brownish, red hair that is about shoulder-length. He does, however, his hair is kept back in a high ponytail with two thick bangs hanging down over each eye. He also inherited his mother's bad vision and is forced to wear thin, wire-rimmed glasses, much like his mother's.Bloodlimit: None
He has a fairly thin and long face with mid-height cheekbones and a pointed, chin. Zam's eyes are the deepest shade of amethyst and combined with his warm smile, has quite a disarming effect on most people. When Zam gets serious and his warm smile fades to a quite emotionless expression, the same amethyst eyes seem to pierce through the soul and a spine-tingling feeling.
Due to much of his training, Zam has a thick, muscular build for his age. He covers his torso with one of his favorite band T-shirts combined with his father's necklace in the form of a circle with a diagonal line from the upper-left to the lower-right through it. The headband with the Stone Village's Crest imprinted on it, which is a symbol of his determination and dedication, is worn on his forehead under his bangs with the village crest centered between his bangs.
Jumping and running around with his friends and in training, Zam's lower body is just as well-developed as his upper half. He likes the looks of his calves and thus, doesn't cover them with pants. Instead, he wears dark purple, camouflage cargo shorts that end just below his knee. There is a hint of decorative mesh underneath the shorts due to the fact that they come out the legs of his shorts by an inch. Though he loves the feel of the earth underneath his feet, long-term shoelessness leaves his feet unattractive, therefore he is forced to wear shoes. To keep the air flowing between his toes, he wears simple black, leather sandals.

[/b] The man howled at Hogosha.\---/ Family History \--/
Zam's father, Nara Hogosha, left Konoha at 22 to travel the world and explore his limits. He soon found himself in the Earth Country in a small craftsman village. Deciding to stay there for the night, Hogosha stayed at the only inn in town. Awoken suddenly in the middle of the night Hogosha heard screams and the flicker of fire in the distance, towards the edge of the village. The village was under attack! Racing from his bed, he got his overcoat on and left the inn, heading towards the flames and screams while others ran the other way.
Reaching the site of disturbance, Hogosha saw a young woman being held by her ankle in the air by a fairly large man. As the man laughed that cries of the woman, Hogosha cleared his throat to get the man's attention. "You might want to set her down before you lose that arm." Hogosha announced to the man, a friendly warning more than a threat.
"And what if I don't?" Was the man's only reply, shaking his arm to hear the woman scream more.
Shrugging and pulling out a sword hidden within his overcoat, Hogosha simply muttered, "Can't say I didn't warn ya..."
Quickly closing the distance, Hogosha gave a quick vertical slick to the man's outstretched arm. As he landed behind the man, he pulls his sword towards his shirt to clean the fresh blood off the blade. After sheathing his sword in his overcoat compartment, he man screamed in pain, looking down at his newly severed right arm and the woman curled in a ball next to it. "Wha- What the hell did you do?!?" The man roared as he turned, covering his leaking wound with the palm of his good arm.
Without turning completely around, Hogosha looked back at the man... "Kage Nui: Hana o Yami..."
"I'll kill you for this! Then I'll kill the girl. How's that sound, shinobi?"
