Training Continued from Page 210||30
So much turmoil in the span of a few days, his mind was a storm of thoughts. His training becoming more difficult after all that had happened, he needed to focus on what was most important now. His eyes would remain closed, one by one he would force the memories of the past few days into the back of his mind. They were useless, something that he would need to move away from. With a slow careful breath he would gather his chakra, slowly he would prepare to finish the training he had started with Gansaku. Hand seals moved in a quick series before him, so fast that it would appear that he used this technique rather often to have memorized them.
Holding the last seal he would allow his chakra to build up before he released, he would need it all to extend the reach of his technique. The ground would crack away before him as his chakra seeped through into the ground. Slowly the wooden beam would begin to crown, moving aside the earth as if it were nothing by the aid of the chakra. Foot by foot it would move forth until it reached a total of ten meters into the air in front of Matsu. This was the basic length of the technique, the training would come now. Maintaining absolute control of the chakra within, he would allow for it to move forth into the single beam, careful not to use too much and shatter it.
With a loud groan the branch would start to move forth from the ground, spiraling slightly. Matsu would start to sweat slightly as he poured his chakra forth into it. So far so good, the beam maintained it's solidarity and was progressing forth. Inch by inch it would leave the earth, within five minutes time he would find that the beam was a total of twelve meters long. He would squinted as he focused intently on the wooden beam, this was all that mattered. The wind gently ruffled his clothing as the chakra started to cause the grass around him to bend slightly from a small wind. He was retaining so much that to someone using Byakugan it would look as if he was preparing something more then what he was training.
'Come on damn it, I refuse to be the only useless one...' his mind insulting himself, it was the only way to get himself through this. He would move a little more chakra out of himself this time, moving the branch forth in a quick spurt, however he could hear a slight cracking sound. Lowering the amount of chakra, he would reduce the pressure he had caused on the beam. If that large flow was too much and what he had started with was too little then he was going to have to find some sort of middle ground. Adjusting his chakra a bit he would slow, and steadily pump forth a more moderate amount. By the time he could go no further he had managed a total of sixteen meters, far better then he had done before.
With a sigh he would release the technique, the beam of wood before him spiraling out of the ground sixteen meters into the air. His eyes moved over the wooden beam before him, wondering what he could do to increase his speed with this technique. If he was going to apply it in battle he would need to learn to be much faster then this. With an angry look on his face he would ball his fist and strike the beam. "Damn it, whats wrong with you!?" frustration from everything coming out all at once.Mokuton Soutei Hashira (Wood Release - Binding Pillars)
