((First of all can I learn a fourth release? That would put me at three elements and I believe that is the max in the show))
I enter out into the woods just about when it is almost dark. I take a seat on a log and begin contemplating my approach on learning this technique. It is key component to a strategy I am developing. After about 10 minutes of idle thought I obtain an idea that it is much like a puppet master technique with chakra strings. However, the chakra of the plants would be better attuned to mine than that of a dead material. I look around for smaller sized vines spotting one about a half inch thick and 4 and a half feet long.
I stand up and focus chakra into my hands hoping it will be easier to control it if I begin within a close range. I place my hands about 3 inches from the vine and imagine my chakra wrapping around it and seeping in. I begin to try to pull the vine towards my chakra with my mind. I spend a few hours on this with out any success. I sit back down disappointed.
I realize how much easier this would be if I brought a mentor. I put my mind to work and decide that my first concept must have been incorrect, or at least for my mental build it was. I lie down and begin to think. I spend about 20 minutes like this, until I recall the motion segment of the brain located somewhere in the rear of the skull. I remembered from academy while learning about genjutsu. Even though I didn't practice it at all I guess sitting in class payed off.
I calm my mind and stare at the vine for about 5 minutes getting comfortable. After I am calmed I decide to seep my chakra into the vine. I continue looking at it as if it were attached to me physically. I swear I feel the wind off of the vine. At that moment I understand why anyone would need to learn other jutsus to control different materials. I look at the vine and try to make it move, in the same manner as if I were completely relaxed telling my mind to move my arm while it was relaxed. I remember doing this when I was kid, with my arm that is. I look at the vine and spend about 30 minutes getting just small twitches from the vine. I was so excited the first time it happened I almost lost my focus.
I stop and think about the experiences directly liked with movements. I realize that this is supposed to feel second nature if I were doing it as a single action, easier than riding a bike. But, I would have to get my mind used to thinking of a vine as a part of my body. I notice that the difference in time between my 2 practice methods was great. Now I know I am going in the right direction. I decide to take a small nap help me calm down and get rid of some of the late night neck pains that come from staying up too late. It was probably about 11 at night by now.

Effect: Allows the user to move vines around. The user directs the vines with conscious thought plus movement of the arms.

Drawback: Only capable of controlling vines within 50 meters. She must be able to see the vines to place them under her control.
