Inside the village of Grass there was a secluded lake, surrounded by thick trees making it almost inaccessible. This is the place Kisa called her own, where she could relax with her butterflies undisturbed.

For the first time since she became a ninja she returned to this spot, searching for solitude to think and to train alone.

Description: A fairly underrated stance that was developed in Iwa sometime ago. Due to the crouched position the user must take to perform this, many ninjas and other interested people find it uncomfortable and unwieldy. This stance focuses on heavy movements based on focused momentum behind every blow. Users of this stance have found it helpful to wear shoes and gloves that slide easily on many surfaces, but still do not slide off of a target.

Kisa sighed as she rose to her feet, her wooden sandals, flattening the grass under them as she stood. She had realized recently that her knowledge of Taijutsu was little to none, and that was something she meant to change. The technique she meant to learn was one she had seen performed by a family member, one that she had been told was horribly under rated.

Curious as to how it worked she moved her legs shoulder width apart. She lowered her weight as she bent her knees, the muscles in her legs protested the strange movement but Kisa ignored it. After what seemed like an hour her muscles adjusted leaving her only with mild discomfort. “Step one,” Kana whispered as she balled her hand into a fist and prepared for step two. Her right hand swung into the air, the inertia causing her to loose her balance and flop backward unceremoniously. After a small burst of laughter and quick double check to make sure her butterflies were safe she was ready to try again.

Once more she took a stance that her aunt had once referred to as a ‘horse stance’. Her legs bent and shoulders squared. Her right hand curled into a fist before swinging upwards in a punch that would hit a targets chin had one been present. Something about the punch felt off, it didn’t seem to have the strength that she had seen her relative demonstrate. Once more she’d curl her hand into a fist, straightening her legs and punching in one fast motion. She felt the difference that time, and it felt like it was something she could use in the future.

She sighed as she watched her butteflies drift lazily through the air. One of them alighted upon the lake and before Kisa could reach the creature it had drowned. A strangled cry left her throat. She reached for the kunai in her pocket and in one expert motion slit her throat. She couldn't protect her butterflies, she didn't deserve to live.
