((OOC: This thread is No Death, Permanent, and Closed/Private.))
Zane awoke to a dark and empty home. *Yawn* “Ah morning already…” Zane stood up wrenching his left shoulder. “I really should be used to carrying my gourd by now…” Walking over to his dresser to get his coat he yawned again. He had just graduated from the academy yesterday, and he spent most of the night looking up at the sky. Putting on his coat, he thought about what to do for the day. Zane walked over to his door and picked up his gourd putting the strap on his shoulder. “Well I suppose I should get to training… waiting isn’t going to make it any easier.”
“I should start by going to the library and finding a scroll.” Walking through the streets he accessed that it was still rather early in the morning. “Hmph… no one seems to be awake yet… perfect I don’t really feel like talking to anyone this morning.” Opening the grand door to the library where all the scrolls are kept he notices that the librarian is awake. The librarian is an old ex-ANBU who belonged to the Owl’s division. Fortunately he was one of the shinobi in the Sand Village who liked Zane.
As Zane walked by he nodded to the old man out of respect and acknowledgement. The man looked up for a moment and nodded back. Walking down into the area where the scrolls for sand manipulation are held he sees sand scattered on the floor and in the shelves. “Wow. I suppose this is appropriate for this section.” Looking through all the scrolls on the shelves he took out one that caught his eye. “Ah… this will do just fine.”
Leaving the library he saw that others had woken up. “Bah… now I have to go find a secluded place to train.” Walking out to the training grounds he noticed the grains of sand shifting on the ground. Coming upon a small area in one of the training fields he felt that he could train here. “Ah… now this will do just fine.” The area has some dead trees, rocks of granite and various other minerals scattered about, and a small oasis of shade behind a large boulder.
“Well there’s no need to use the sand in my gourd.” Zane walked over to behind the boulder and set his gourd down, and then he took off his coat and put it on top of the gourd. Then he proceeded to sit down next to the gourd, and unraveled the scroll. “Well I suppose that this is easy enough.”
Reading all of the hand signs that he needed to know, and began to practice them. Forming them over and over he began to memorize them. “Ok I got it. Its time to try to actually make some clones.” Zane stood up and began to put some chakra into some of the nearby sand. Closing his eyes putting all of his focus into that one area of sand he began to the necessary handseals. A mass of sand moved up from the ground, but as soon as it did it fell back to the ground.
“Wow. Just wow.” Disappointed in his first attempt Zane began to attempt this technique again. This time the sand rose up and form a right leg, and a left leg up to the knee. “That’s… better?”
After doing the technique over and over again he managed to make a clone in the general shape of a general man… with three legs, one arm, and no head. Just giving a grim stare to the misshapen clone Zane dispelled it. Again he would make another attempt and it would have similar results yet it became a bit more accurate; this clone had two arms, two legs, and still no head. “Alright, one more time.” Doing the jutsu one more time he would form the basic outline of a man. Already pretty demoralized after his past few attempts he decided he would continue on without patting himself on the back for this small achievement.
“Now onto the details.” Forming the needed handseals once again a pile of sand formed on the ground forming a man form with basic details and although a tad sketchy they would do for this first attempt at detailing. Now he would put immense focus on the small details that would make this a convincing clone. To get a better grasp on what he needs to do he starts to feel his facial features. Then he would begin to start the jutsu again.
Zane formed a clone in his likeness out of the sand. He then walked over to it with a smirk on his face. “Heh… not bad… not bad at all…” Then he placed his hand on his clone’s shoulder, and as soon as he did the clone crumbled back to the ground. His left eye twitching Zane would scream a flurry of curses until he was satisfied. Exhausted from all the chakra he’s used he went to sit next to his gourd; he inhaled, shut his eyes, and went to sleep.
((OOC: Upon looking through this site a bit more I'm realizing I should have probably posted this in the Sand Village board, opposed to just in the Land of Wind. So if whoever grades my thread could move this thread into the Sand Village board I would appreciate it.))

Suna Bunshin no Jutsu (Sand Clone Technique)
Rank: "D" "C"
Skill: NinJutsu
Effect: The user is capable of creating clones by using the sand around them. Depending on how much sand the user has, and how well the user is capable of using this technique is dependent on how many clones the user is capable of creating. The C Rank version of this very technique allows the clones movement, and basic attacks such as punches and kicks, but no techniques. When first learned the user is capable of creating up to five Clones, this is for the D Rank Version. If the user learns the C Rank version they are capable of creating two clones. Each time learned for the D Rank Version of this technique the user is capable of creating two clones. Each time the user learns a C Rank version of this technique the user is capable of creating one extra clone.
Special: "Handseals"
Drawback: For D Ranks The Clones that are created are basically useless, only used as a destraction, only used to stand and can not be used to attack. The user can not learn more C Rank Versions of this technique then that of the D Rank Version of this technique.
Description: If the user has an abundance amount of sand along the ground the user is capable of focusing their chakra along the sand to where they are capable of controlling the sand's structure to create a vast amount of clones if capable.
Limit: Must have the Sand Release, Must know the Sand Control of D Rank. For every Ten Clones equals ten meters of Sand Needed.
