Fight Club (open, but read the rules first)

The fight club meets in an old abandoned warehouse in a poorer part of town. Its location is known only to its members, and its meetings are held in secret. The group that meets there is as varied as any known in the country. Its ranks include bums, farmers, sailors, and even a noble. Its purpose is simply a place to blow off steam. It's therapy for some and a place of thrills for others. The fight club has only a few rules that are as follows:

1. You don't talk about fight club.
2. You don't talk about fight club.
3. When someone says stop, or goes limp, even if he's just faking it, the fight is over.
4. Only two guys to a fight.
5. One fight at a time.
6. They fight without shirts or shoes.
7. The fights go on as long as they have to.
8. If this is your first night at fight club, you have to fight.

OOC: Alright, so I made this thread for my character to come and train, and as such I have a few rules of my own.

The first is that you must be of either the Brawler or Muay Tai persuasion to fight here.

The second is that there is no nin or genjutsu allowed.

The third is that you must be invited to join the club (though you can role play this if you want. I just don't want anybody waltzing in being like, 'hey what is this place? may I join?')

Obviously I ripped all of the other rules straight from the book and movie of the same name, and I added the other rules to keep this thing true to the source material. Another reason is that this place can provide a better context for brawler training than anything else I can think of.

Effect: A Brawler attack that occurs when the opponent takes the user's shirt, or neck, or some sort of clothing first and quickly slams their skull against the opponent's skull. An attack that is capable of causing blindness within the attack as well as deafness.
Special: The user reaches forth taking hold of the opponent's piece of clothing, or even the back of the neck and slams their head against the opponent's head with strong force.
Drawback: ---
Description: The user takes hold of the opponent and quickly slams their head against the opponent's head. When this happens the opponent flies off into the distance by sheer force of the attack. Just as the user slams their head against the opponent's head the user releases the opponent quickly as the opponent flies off into the distance. The pain along the temple is shot towards the opponent's mind that causes a great shock in massive amounts as the opponent becomes shocked.

* D Class - The Opponent is blinded and deaf for Two rounds
* C Class - The Opponent is blinded and deaf for Three rounds
* B Class - The Opponent is blinded and deaf for Four rounds
* A Class - The Opponent is blinded and deaf for Five rounds
* S Class - The Opponent is blinded and deaf for Six rounds


If the opponent is one class higher to that of the user then the amount of rounds is reduced by one round for "C" Class, Two rounds for "B" Class, Three rounds for "A" Class, and Four Rounds for "S" Class. If the opponent is two classes or higher then the reduction goes up by one. After three classes or more then the technique is incapable of working

::Back in the Hidden Leaf Village::

It was exceptionally early in the morning, so much so that Gaia hadn't even awoken to train when his father came and woke him up.

"Gaia," he called out, "How does your hand feel?"

After Gaia awoke with a start, it took him a while to realize where he was and what his dad was asking him. "Wha...?" he mumbled.

"Your hand, how is it?" his dad said.

"Okay I guess," said Gaia stretching his fingers. To tell the truth, they were a bit stiff, but felt incredibly better than yesterday.

"Well then get up," his father said, "We're going on a little trip today,"

"Where to?" Gaia asked.

"Listen, no more questions, just put something on that is suitable for Taijutsu training," he said, and with that left the room.

Taijutsu training huh. Gaia had a few articles of clothing that would suit this purpose, but still where could they possibly be going that they needed to get up so early. With that, Gaia pulled on some loose training pants and the tight shirt that he usually wore under his jacket. Also Gaia had recently bought some hand and feet wraps that he figured he would want to try, and so put those on too. Now that Gaia was fully dressed, he headed downstairs to see that his dad had packed two large backpacks, that were now sitting at the door.

"Come and get a little breakfast before you go," his dad called from the kitchen, "It's going to be a bit of a journey."

And with that, Gaia sat down to a small breakfast, and when the two were done eating, they headed out the door. When Gaia stepped outside, the air to him seemed a bit chill for this time of year, but then he realized that he had done without his trademark jacket. He had gotten rather use to enduring the warm weather even with his heavy jacket, though he could not argue with its impracticality in his taijutsu training. Thus it was that they headed off for the town gate in the cool early morning. Through the deserted streets they passed on an errand of which no one knew. Finally they passed through the town gate, and out onto an open path surrounded by woods. From there they continued on for quite some time, and it was at least two hours before the sun began to come up over the horizon. It was a while before Gaia became fully awake, and before the sun came up, he had mostly been stumbling around in a bit of a daze, but now that he was up he thought that he would again test his father to see if he could find out where they were going.

"So um...can you tell me where we are headed now?" Gaia asked.

"I'm afraid not. It would ruin the surprise. Just be patient." he said, "But now that you're fully awake, have you studied that list of taunts I gave you?"

"Yes, I'm pretty sure I can name them off the top of my head." Gaia replied.

"That's good," his dad said, "Now we can move on to another technique. They say that any part of the body can be used as a weapon, and I say that this true, but some parts are more effective than others. Some limbs can be used to strike in unexpected ways that can and will prove advantageous to the user if performed correctly. Enter the header. When one uses their head to smash someone in the face, it is almost never expected, and always has devastating effects. This is the technique I want you to learn next. The method is simple, you just rock your hips back and thrust your head into your opponents face, putting your entire body behind it. The trick is doing it fast enough to where it catches the opponent off guard, and you don't telegraph the move. It needs to be subtle, sudden, and violent. Are you with me so far."

"Yes sir," said Gaia.

"Good then. I want you to practice this as we walk. I know you may think it will look silly, but I want you to know this technique by the time we reach our destination. Is that clear." he said.

"Yes sir," Gaia said, and with that began practicing the move continuously, with his dad making constant remarks on what he liked and didn't like as they walked along. Before long, Gaia was getting pretty good at it, but his hunger was growing and the sun had risen high in the sky.

Suddenly, Gaia's stomach let forth an enormous growl.

"Hungry?" his father asked with a laugh, "Don't worry there's a place to eat on the road ahead."

Gaia was glad that they were about to stop, all this walking and headbutting was making him hungry. Soon enough, the road made a bit of a curve and he could see an inn nestled in the trees ahead. When they got closer, it became apparent to Gaia that this was a rather nice hotel and that steam from the hot springs could be seen rising ahead. Soon enough they actually came upon the inn which was rather extravagant from the the outside. There were two small ponds in front with a stream running between over which there was a bridge and path that led to the entrance. Once Gaia and his father had crossed this bridge and arrived inside, they were greeted by an entrance hall in which sat the front desk. Gaia was thrilled that they were at this place, and was hoping to make use of the hotsprings until his father accosted the manager.

"Will you be wanting to make use of our springs for the day, or perhaps a room for the night?" the manager asked.

"No sorry, we've other business than lounging today. We'd just prefer a meal if that's alright." he said.

"Very well, said the manager a bit disappointed right this way, and he led them through a door to his left that led into a large dining room where a few other guest were seated. Once they were seated the manager told them that they would be waited on shortly, and with that headed back to his desk. Gaia and his dad enjoyed a very good lunch, but Gaia was dissapointed that he wouldn't have the opprotunity to get in the hot baths, but he couldn't complain. This whole trip was very unexpected and purportedly for his benefit, so he would just have to make do and wait for what his dad had in store for him.

Before long, Gaia and his dad were done eating, and soon paid their bills and left. The sun was now high in the sky when they crossed over the inn's bridge and headed back down the road, and Gaia was now glad at his change of outfit. It was actually rather pleasant walking out in the sun instead of being stifling hot. Gaia and his dad walked down that road for a while before Gaia started up his heading practice, but as the day wore on Gaia grew tired of it and just started walking. A number of hours passed, and soon the sky began to grow a bit more red. It wouldn't be but a couple of hours before the sun went down. Throughout the entire trip the topography had changed little, and so it was that when Gaia saw the outline of a city, he was at first horrified. This whole trip had been nice, and he had enjoyed learning that headbutt technique under the tutoulage of his father, but staging this whole trip just to end right back at the leaf village was a bit too much. But as Gaia squinnted off at the distance it soon became aware that this was not the leaf village, but rather some other city. By the time they finally reached the city the sun was setting. After they walked through the gate, Gaia's dad said that they would first go find a place to stay the night, and then go out and get some real taijutsu training. "It's about time," Gaia thought as they walked down the streets of the city. Soon they came to the entrace of a modest looking inn and went inside. The innkeeper was nice enough, and after getting their room key they went to their rooms to put down their stuff and have a rest. The day's journey had been a bit tiring, and so it was after sundown that they left the inn fully rested.

"Can I know where we are going now," Gaia asked his dad. Usually he was a very patient person, but he had been waiting all day for the answer.

"Just a little longer," his dad said with a smirk on his face.

Through the dim streets Gaia and his father traveled, and they soon came to the more industrial part of town. It was almost abandoned this time of day, and all up and down the streets were lines of warehouses. Gaia was very puzzled by this as he could not imagine what could possibly be so special about this place. Soon, Gaia's father took him down a dark side street that ran between two warehouses, and then down a flight of stairs that led to the basement of the warehouse on the right. It was very dark here, as the only light came from the moon and stars. Finally they stopped in front of a large iron door. If Gaia was puzzled before, he was absolutely stumped now. Presently Gaia's dad banged hard on the door with one fist, and a slide in the iron door slid open which emitted a beam of light that nearly blinded Gaia's dialated eyes.

"Who is it?" inquired a rough voice from inside.

"It's Kyle," called his dad's voice loud and clear.

"Really," said the voice, "It's been a while, friend. Welcome back."

Slowly the door slid open, but what was inside was too bright for Gaia to see at the moment, and so blindly he walked inside.

As the door swung open, and Gaia walked inside, he was blinded by the light as it hit his dilating pupils. Though he couldn't see for a moment, he smelled a musty sweaty odor as if the whole place were packed with beasts. Then he heard the sounds, only men shouting and screaming. Then everything came back into focus. There were all kinds of men, standing in a huddle some ways away. They seemed to be watching something or someone, and cheering them on.

"Welcome to Fight Club kid," said the doorman, and Gaia and his dad went over to the circle where the men were watching the competitors.

At first Gaia could see nothing with the mass of men blocking his view but when he edged closer and pushed through the crowd, he saw what they were all watching. There in the middle of the crowd stood two men. They were circling around each other, with vicious looks in their eyes. One was a tall lanky fellow, while the other was short and stout. Every now and then one would throw a little jab testing the other. Then all of the sudden the tall one full on rushed the other. He took an enormous swing at the shorter guy, but received a jab in the face before he could connect. The shorter guy then landed another blow straight into the other's jaw. The tall guy was now reeling, and the shorter one took advantage. He connected an elbow that sent the tall one to the ground. He tried to get up but before he could there was the short guy, raining blows on him. It had all happened in a matter of seconds, and before it really started, it was over.

Gaia had never seen something like this in his life. Whenever ninja fought, their style was so organized, so refined. Here were men dukeing it out in any way they saw fit. Then a man called out for the crowd to be quiet.

"Some of you may not know, but we have a new member in fight club tonight. New member please step forward."

Gaia had never remembered saying that he would join this club, and so it was with quite a bit of surprise that he was shoved and prodded to the center of the ring.

"We have a rule in fight club, if it's your first night at fight club, you have to fight. Who would be willing to take this kid on," the man called.

At this there was a bit of a mummer through the crowd. It seemed as though no one wanted to fight a kid his age, but soon enough a rather averaged height, lightly built man stepped from the crowd.

This whole thing was highly disorienting. He had gone from wandering blindly in the streets, to some warehouse basement in a matter of minutes. And now he was pacing the floor about to face off with this guy who looked like a veteran at fight club. Desperately, he looked around for his dad, but it proved difficult to find him in the throng which cheered and screamed around him. This he became aware of all to quickly. At first it was deafening, and disorienting, but soon Gaia realized that they were cheering for him, and this other guy. It was at this point that Gaia realized the whole club was waiting for him, and had only eyes for him. It was at this point that the noise became intoxicating.

Sutan Tekken (Stunning Fist)

Effect: A Brawler is capable of striking with such finesse, and such accuracy to where whenever a Brawler attacks using Sutan Tekken (Stunning Fist) they are capable of stunning an opponent for an amount of rounds depending on the class level the user is as well as the class level of the opponent may be.

Drawback: The user is capable of using this technique only to the amount of times they are capable of using Tetsu Tekken (Iron Fist)
Description: Whenever the Brawler attacks the opponent hitting them, striking them using the Sutan Tekken with the consequence of using up a Tetsu Tekken the opponent would become stunned depending on the class of the user as well as the class of the opponent for a number amounts of time. If the user is...

* D Class - The Opponent is stunned for One round
* C Class - The Opponent is stunned for Two rounds
* B Class - The Opponent is stunned for Three rounds
* A Class - The Opponent is stunned for Four rounds
* S Class - The Opponent is stunned for Five rounds


If the opponent is one class higher to that of the user then the amount of rounds is reduced by one round for "C" Class, Two rounds for "B" Class, Three rounds for "A" Class, and Four Rounds for "S" Class. If the opponent is two classes or higher stronger then that of the opponent then the Sutan Tekken (Stunning Fist) does not affect them.

It was like an intense buzzing in Gaia's brain. A high of sorts he felt as he danced around in a little circle sizing up his opponent. He wasn't that big, about the same height as himself and a little skinnier, but looks could be deceiving. The other guy threw a jab here and there, but it wasn't anything serious, more of a tactic to keep a good distance between the two than anything else. Suddenly, Gaia felt all was quiet and he knew it was the time to strike. He led with a little jab of his own and then followed with a left hook, both of which the other guy blocked without incident. Again they were back to dancing around. Next, Gaia tried another hook, but cut it short and followed with a knee aimed at the guy's stomach. These too he blocked, and as Gaia was recovering himself he gave Gaia a jab to the nose. It wasn't anything major, but it was enough to start a flow of blood. This was getting a little annoying now. Gaia couldn't hit this guy and yet the man was toying with him. Gaia knew that he couldn't penetrate the man's defense, so he took a step back and spread his arms.

"Come on, just hit me. Knock me out already," Gaia said.

With that the man acquiesced far faster than Gaia could react. His fist slammed into the side of Gaia's face, and he went down hard. Gaia thought that he might have blacked out for a second, so it wasn't a surprise when he found the man upon him, ready to rain blows. The man had his hand cocked back and as his fist came down, Gaia grabbed the man behind the neck and thrust his forehead into the man's face. This stunned him long enough for Gaia to escape from underneath him and regain his feet. The man was a little slow getting up, perhaps expecting Gaia to give him the opportunity out of courtesy, but he was wrong. Before the man rose, Gaia slammed his fist into the side of the man's head. This time it was the other guy's turn to fall to the ground, but Gaia could tell he wasn't getting back up. He had been caught off guard, and Gaia had put everything he had into that punch.

The crowd went crazy, as Gaia tried to exit the ring. The feeling was amazing. For that one moment, Gaia had been the center of attention, and now he basked in its glory. Soon however the opponent Gaia had beaten rose up and moved out of the ring while to more combatants stepped inside the circle. It was time for another fight. Gaia watched this one, but soon began to think of his dad, and set off to find him. Thus it was that Gaia located him in the corner of the basement.

"So did you like it. Good surprise wasn't it," Gaia's dad said.

"It was...pretty amazing. Liberating is how I would describe it." said Gaia.

"You did a good job back there, but we should get you back to the hotel. We probably need to get back to the village by tomorrow so as you're not missed. You're still a ninja you know."

And with that, they left. Through the big iron door, and out onto the deserted streets. Finally they made it back to their inn, and after bandaging his face, Gaia went to bed.

Gaia got up the next morning, having slept better than nearly any night he had known. Gaia and his dad did not leave as early as the previous day, and so they had time for a hardy breakfast. After that, they left for the hidden leaf village. On the way they stopped at the same inn as before, and ate lunch there again.

"Do you think we could go to the springs today?" said Gaia.

"Maybe some other time," his dad said. "We have to get you back to town remember."

And so it was that after another long walk, they finally returned to the hidden leaf village.
