The crunching of snow under feet could be heard through the otherwise silent park. A brunette wearing very little considering the climate sprinted around the park. Lap after lap her steps never faltered and her speed never slowed. Finally after at least thirty laps around the decent sized park the girl collapsed onto a bench. Her lungs burned as she attempted to inhale. “G-good,” she sputtered as she brought her right hand in front of her face and readied herself to heal. Natsue was very persistent about being her own best test subjected. She disliked training on others unless it was the only option.
Still breathing heavily she called upon her chakra and let it flow through her body until it reached her hand. A pale and silvery glow surrounded her hand. She pressed her hand against her chest and closed her eyes as she inhaled deeply. Air caught in her throat causing her to cough as she pulled her hand away from her chest. With that her lungs returned back from being completely closed to being only slightly compressed. She stared blankly as she ended the chakra flow to her hand. Failures were always expected no matter how unwanted, but this wasn’t a failure, this was the complete opposite reaction than what the jutsu should have brought about.
Once more she called upon her chakra, letting the ribbons of mystical energy encircle her scarred hand and glow an emerald green. Once more she placed her hand against her chest, the green sparks of chakra transferring from her hand to her chest. As she inhaled her eyes went wide. Last time she hadn’t been able to take in any air, now she was taking in too much. Her lungs seared as she forced herself to exhale and drew her hand away. She stared at the green glow and nodded. White had been too little air, green too much, she needed to balance them out, and then perhaps her technique would work.
She stood from the cold bench and once more took off sprinting around the park until her lungs began to close and interfere with her breathing. Once more she would collapse upon a bench as she raised her hands and concentrated upon drawing her chakra forth. With her lungs tired it was difficult to begin but finally she was able to draw her chakra forth in strands. The chakra slowly snaked its way down her arm as it made its journey towards her hand. Strings of white and green chakra connected and melded together to form a white-green glow. Natsue nodded, this was starting to look like it might actually work.
Her uncovered hand was pressed against the thin white cotton of her shirt. The dual colored chakra left her hand to press inside her body and begin to work its magic. She felt it first in her throat as the passage began to un-constrict, allowing more air to come down to her lungs. Her lungs relaxed as they welcomed more air into her body. The medic smiled as she let her hand fall away from her chest. With another technique under her belt she could breath easily.
