Next Day....
Jai was home asleep on his bed when a sudden energy boost flowed through his body. Jai quickly hopped out of bed and changed clothes. Then he looked through his draws for a scroll, he had a few fire technique scrolls, but he decided to pick one at random. When he did, he didn't look at it, but left the house to his training spot out in the woods of the village. He ran of the house and ran straight there as if he were late. When he got there, he made the handseals for his summoning technique, adding just enough chakra to summon Chi. Then Chi appeared from underground and made that clicking noise with his pinchers. That usally meant Chi was happy, at least from his observation of Chi."Hey kid, you need something?" Chi asked Jai. Jai smiled,"Not really, just company, I'm gonna learn a new technique today." Jai said while bending down to place his hand down on the ground. Chi crawled up Jai's arm and up to his normal spot, Jai's shoulder. Then Jai pulled the scroll from out of his bag and read it.
Jai already had a good idea on how this jutsu worked. He was becoming good a fire techniques so he first focused. He first looked over the handseals neccessary for the jutsu."Dragon, Dog, Horse, Rabbit, Snake, Ox, and Tiger" He said to himself. He sat down on the ground as Chi crawled down his back and onto the ground. He looked around the area doing whatever he was doing while Jai trained. Ja slowly did the handseals, first the dragon, dog, and horse. He tried to add the others, but his hand wasn't used to the handseal formation so he had to take it slowly. He made the Dragon, Dog, Horse, and Rabbit this time, but he only did it in about the same speed as last time. He practiced this part of the handseals first, repeating them over and over again. It took him about 25 times for him to actually get used to the positioning of his hands. Then he added the rabbit handsign, but it became a little more challenging then before. He did it about seven times before he actually added the rabbit handseal perfectly. Then he went for the Snake and Ox handsigns, attempting them both with the rest of the handseals. He did it slowly at first about ten times, and then attempted to do it faster all together. It took him about another 25 times for him to actually make the six handsigns together, and now to add the Tiger. He did it on his fifth try and then did it quickly. He had to do it about ten times for him to be able to do it faster then his slow pace. When he felt he had the handseals down, he did them one final time a the right speed and extended his arm out towards a nearby tree. He only felt a warm sensation in his hand, but this wasn't enough for him. Jai focused a little harder, focusing some chakra into his right hand. Then he made the handseals before extending his right hand out towards the tree in front of him. He felt the warmth leave his hand in a stream like heat that directed towards the tree. It wasn't that visible but it was a start for now. Chi sat down and watched,"Kid, its like I said about the summoning business, you gotta put more into it." Chi said for advice. Jai nodded and focused much more chakra into his hand before placing his hands together. He made the handseals a little quicker this time and then extended his arm out towards the tree. He then felt the warm heat of a laser like line of fire hit the tree. He held it for a little bit before he had to move his hand from the heat. When he moved it, the laser disappeared leaving a small hole in the tree. This was progress, and Chi clamped his pinchers together to make that clicking noise as a round of applause.

Fire Style: Fire Lance Technique
Rank: C
Skill: Ninjutsu
Effect: Sends a “beam” of fire towards the opponent, no longer than ten feet in length and no thicker than 10 inches.
Special: Dragon, Dog, Horse, Rabbit, Snake, Ox, Tiger, extending a hand.
Drawback: If used continuously (more than 3 times) then the hands will become singed, resulting in slower speed at forming handseals or other finger movements. Any drastic movement of the hand (i.e. more than a centimeter of movement from its original position) will result in the technique failing.
Description: The user performs the handseals and then extends their hand outwards. A lance of fire will rush out of the extended hand of the previously-listed dimensions and attempt to strike the target. The lance remains in contact with the user’s hand until put out.
Limit: Fire Release
