Knowing he needed more skills at throwing senbon, Mako decided to go out into the fields near the forest and train his accuracy. Upon arriving he prepared by grabbing a single senbon, placed snugly between his middle and ring fingers. He already had a tree picked in his sights to make his target, he did so dislike things that stood out so clearly. Without hesitation he quickly flicked his arm, sending the senbon that was between his fingers, flying towards the specific tree he aimed at.
As the senbon flew through the air, he noticed the wind resistance began to push harder on it; thus making it begin to shake and utterly fly off course. In the end the senbon he threw managed to stick into another tree, about four feet down from the one he aimed at. A little discouraged, but never one to give up, he reached for another senbon and contemplated his next throw. Deciding maybe it wasn't the strength of his throw, but the way he flicked his wrist, he prepared himself.
"Do not try and destroy the object...instead, focus on going through the object." This is what he told himself as he changed his breathing to focus more. There had to be a way to throw more accurately.
Instead of focusing on the tree itself, he now focused on a particular piece of bark. Like focusing on a keyhole to see what is on the other side. Instead of destruction, he now focused on piercing the object and penetrating the other side. He quickly extended his arm and flicked his wrist again, this time flicking his wrist slightly differently. He watched once again as the object he had thrown flew from his hand.
This time the senbon flew with more push, but eventually ended up the same way as the last one. Once again instead of hitting the desired tree, he hit one nearby, at least now he was only three trees off. He did always try to look on the bright side, yet it was still disappointing when things did not go as planned. He now had to consider other things into this equation. Because whatever it was he was supposed to be doing, this obviously was not it.
