{7:34 A.M.}
Asano got up out of bed after procrastinating for half an hour. He walked over to the window, like everything else in this village, his house was permeated by an ever present mist. He opened the window, and after his eyes adjusted, noticed that today, like every day, it was overcast, he could just see the sun as a bright spot against the clouds. "Might as well rain today..." he said, cheery as ever, "now what should I do today?" he asked himself as he walked into the kitchen, and opened the refrigerator.
"Now, what to have for breakfast, hmm, choices, choices, he muttered as he looked about his fridge, I know, steak! He exclaimed, grabbing one of the steaks he had left marinating over night. He reached over and turned his antiquated gas stove on high, then grabbed a frying pan from the cupboard, and placed the frying pan on the raging flames, followed by the steak in the frying pan. He cooked it for a few minuets per side, giving it a nice sear, but leaving the center nice and pink.
Perfect, he said as he turned the stove off, and grabbing the steak with his bare hands, headed into his back yard. But what should I do today, he muttered to himself, ripping a hunk off of the steak, and proceeding to devour the rest, decided I got nothing better to do, might as well train...
After a few minutes of deliberation, Asano finally decided to work on Koorisuberi (Ice Sliding). He started by focusing his chakra and pulling some water from the air, focusing it at his feet. He then froze the water, but as he tried to move, fell flat on his face. It seemed he had frozen his feet to the ground, however he managed to angle his head down and land on his forehead, instead of his nose, "Owwww... he moaned as he got back up. He then sat down and, using kuri buki, created a water kunai and began to chisel his feet free.
An hour later, his feet were free, and he got up to try again. This time, he began by releasing chakra only from his feet, building it up as he pulled more water from the air, amassing it on the soles of his feet. This time, before beginning the jutsu, he coated his feet in chakra, and focussed more, allowing the water to freeze at a slower rate. After a few seconds of this, the water was at a semi-solid state, and he began to walk forward. With the first step he took, he knew it would work this time, because his foot quite nearly slipped out from under him.
He tried to take a few steps, it was hard to balance, and he slid alot, but he was beginning to get the hang of it. Even though he go a few bruises, and fell alot, he eventually managed to finish one full lap without falling at all. "I think I'm beginning to get used to this..."
