It was the middle of the night and the residents of the leaf village were sleeping in their houses. Totally unawares of what was going on directly outside the gates of their place they called home. A storm was dwelling. The dark clouds of night stirred with ghastly winds that brought the oddest rain. It was blood red, pattering upon the streets. In the beginning of this rain, it was a light shower, barely anything to be concerned about. Slowly though, it got rougher and rougher. People began to awake, and to their horror. Their streets were stained with blood; their windows were stained with blood. Some people could be heard screaming from the sight. It went on for the whole night.

Description: A small odd human shaped being in the form of a shadow, have no ninjutsu or genjutsu to speak of. They are relatively weak and attack with only claws. Their only real strength is their numbers, which can vary from five in a group to little over twenty. They can also utilize two nara clan jutsu.
Jutsu:
Shadow Strike
Rank: D Rank
Skill: Ninjutsu
Effect: Holding a handseal, the user's shadow attacks the shadow of the opponent with kicks and punches. If the shadow hits the opponent's it will seem to strike just as if the Nara member had punched them directly.
Special: "Hanseals"
Drawback: Cannot move while using jutsu, range only as long as shadow can stretch (5-10 meters). Also, must hit the targets shadow, and note that it only feels like a punch.
Description: Forming the dragon handsign, the Nara member's shadow strikes out at the opponent with fists and feet striking out at their shadow. If they hit, it will seem as if the Nara Member had actually hit them. It only feels like a punch, hurting nerve receptors, not actually damaging the opponent or cause recoil upon the hit, just pain. However, Pain may cause the opponent to flinch and fall over.
Limit: Nara Clan Member, Shadow Imitation Technique "C" Rank

Skill: Ninjutsu
Effect: The user of the jutsu merges with their shadow for a short period of time, merging down into their shadow they are immune to attacks, unless spotted by a smart opponent.
Special: "Hanseals"
Drawback: Unable to attack (except Shadow Strike) while in this form, cannot go anywhere a Shadow could not exist (bright light)
Description: Forming the handsigns, the Nara Clan member begins to shrink down into his shadow and is only able to use the Shadow Strike jutsu. As a Shadow it is hard to hit him and he can stretch and spread form. He is 2D along the ground, not standing up. This does not last forever however. A Nara member can only stay within this jutsu for 24 seconds (4 Posts).
Limit: Must know Shadow Strike, Nara Clan Member, Shadow Imitation Technique "B" Rank

Description- Another shadow monster, this time it is nothing like a human. A bipedal shadow creature that has the ability to use the Nara clan jutsu, though reason's why is relatively unknown for now. They are much stronger in Taijutsu and with the Nara clan techs, they can be a dangerous adversary. They are usually seen commanding a group of shadows. They are fast and deadly killers.

Description: After capturing an opponent with the Shadow Imitation Technique, the user can then further extend their shadow up to the target's throat in the shape of a hand, which chokes them to death. Additionally, it can be used to bind the limbs of exceptionally strong targets who can move, even while bound by the Shadow Imitation.

# Kageyose no Jutsu, 影寄せの術 (Shadow Summoning Technique)

Drawback: Once the technique is activated, the user must control the tendrils with motions of their hands, while the Kagemane is still active the entire time. Thus, if the person caught within it controls a puppet, they could accidentally activated it move.
Description: After capturing a target with the Shadow Imitation Technique, the user forms a simply string of hand seals. The user then, summons shadowy tendrils from their opponent's shadow, controlling them in the same manner as Shadow Sewing, but from the opponent's body instead of the user's. This could be used to stab the opponent, remove things from the person without having to risk removing it from yourself, (As the Kagemane makes the user and captive act in sync) or block projectiles. The Tendrils are no stronger then that of skin, and thus are pierced and such very easily, and don;t hold that well, however get the job done.
Limit: Nara Clan Technique, Must know Shadow Choke Neck Bind, Must have knowledge of the Shadow Imitation Technique "A" Rank.

Drawback: Cannot move while using this technique, be be stationary, can only use the Kagemane while using this technique.
Description: Forming hand seals, The user of this jutsu can extend their shadow and create multiple tangible tendrils for various purposes. Such purposes can include using them as stabbing weapons, rope for binding an opponent. The user extends their shadow either up their own body with Kagemane, or up their opponents body once caught in Kagemane. Then, forming some handseals, 5 shadow like tendrils are formed that can be used to trie down appendages, stabbing weapons, and rope like wire. The tendrils are not very strong at all, in fact, they can barely rip through skin, but they can if concentrated hard enough on the technique. It must also be used simultaneously with Shadow Imitation Technique, so it is possible to split the shadow and use both jutsus at the same time. Each time learned, the user can create two more tendrils.
Limit: Nara Clan Technique, Must have knowledge of the Shadow Imitation Technique "B" Rank

Description: Snake looks like an old man shrouded in a dusty old black cloak. Most of his body is covered in this cloak and all that is truly seen is one of his eyes. The only feature on this bland black cloak is a golden key that is attached to a chain around his neck. He waits at the top of a mountain in fire country, waiting for the day that he gets to see his final day. This man has no taijutsu or genjutsu capability. But what he lacks in these he makes up for in his clan techs.
Jutsu: Snake has all Nara clan jutsu from B rank down. As well as A rank Kagemane

When the frightened villagers awoke the next morning, the blood had gone from the ground, everything was clean and everything was like nothing had ever happened. Everyone was confused and the wanted answers. Most went directly to the hokage. And unfortunately, he had no answers. Except for a single letter that had been left by a falcon messenger bird. The letter read;
I have a challenge for you lord Hokage. In fire country, you will find a key. That key is going to unlock a door. That door is going to lead you, to my arena. It is hidden for now, but I will give you a clue. You will find an addition to your landscape. A mountain. At the top of the mountain is a guardian. This man you will be able to take the key from. But first you must defeat him in a one on one battle. The path will be dangerous. Choose your five most competent ninja to obtain this key and you will receive your next clue. Your village will be rewarded if you complete this task. And punished if they fail. Till then lord Hokage. Good Bye
For now all the hokage could do was see this all out and make sure he got this done, or feel the wrath of this mysterious force.

- 3. If two staff say you are dead. You are dead.

- 5. The key is worth absolutely nothing so stealing it will be a waste of time.
