The clouds drifted by as the weary swordsman had found his sleeping cut short, the morning sun now up and shining behind him, as he hid in the shade of a tree. He still needed to catch up on his sleep, and what better time than the present? A loud snore echoed across the landscapse as fitfull dreams came to him, of times long since passed...

It had been a long hard day of toiling, but the money that rested inside his hand was worth it, as a thirteen year-old Tadayoshi walked the streets of Otafuku Gai. Not the most pleasent place to come from, but more than certainly the one he knew as home, and as such he worked hard for the people of the village, earning their money and respect as a way to build himself up. Tucking the Ryo into his then oversized robe, the boastful youth walked almost merrily down the dirt street, ready to go home and call it a day, and to count his money while he ate a nice warm meal and relaxed. However, reality struck with the strength of a fist as a hand collided roughly with the side of his head.
He should've known...
Flying to the side, The boy felt his jaw aching, watching warily the group of foes who surrounded him. They were after his mone.y... and his blood... a pity that a village with so much potential had such a notorious problem for muggers and thieves. Who knew? ith things working otherwise, the city might have actually been a little more pronounced in the world. Unsheathing his katana, he faced his foes, the alley thin as he counted the three of them, menacing, and large, all after what they wanted, none of them armed, and all with a hungry look in their eyes. They weren't afraid to kill...
And you know what?
Neither was he...
Jumping forward, He slashed at a foe who tried to punch im, cutting from him his thumb, as he parried another hit with the flat of his blade, before flipping backwards, taking a glancing blow to the ribs as his third foe attacked as well. The thumbless one could only stare, first at the stump he had been left with, then to the one who had rendered him so. Back to the thumb, or lack thereof, and then to the one who had removed it. With a loud wail, he charged forward, a murderous gleam in his eye that screamed death so much that it almost made Tada wet himself.
Drawing on instinct, he sheathed his sword, dropping to the ground as the man barelled over him, sliding between his legs, and lithely finding his way back to a standing position once more as he was circled by a ring of three. He knelt to the ground, almost as if admitting defeat, letting his foes think he was beaten... letting them think he was done fighting. It was all a bluff however, and judging by their stupidity of continuing, despite the fact that he bore a weapon, made them just as stupid as he had figured.
The injured and his two companions charged again, and it was then that Tadayoshi let his genius shine. Unsheathing the sword, he spun a brilliant circle, using the blunt side of it to push his attackers backwards, making them think again about attacking. By all means he was serious about killing any one of them. However, it seemed that would not be his honour, as a blade fell from above, a white robed man still holding it as it cleaved the man in half with sheer momentum. "Damn that blade is sharp..." It was about all he could think of at the time, however, his new ally was much appreciated as they now stood at more than even odds.
"Time for some fun..."
