A boy, around the age of 14, stood quietly outside of the Ninja Academy. He looked uneasy, impatient. Constantly he gazed at the watch on his wrist, the tiny clock that ticked rhythmically and quietly, counting down from the time he'd set it to. The boy had tinkered with the gears, making it possible to time things and set time limits. He had set it for half an hour, hoping to be quite lenient with the two people he was to meet. He straightened the hitai-ate upon his head, having only received it hours before. Unlike the two he waited upon, he was newly graduated.
The Raikage had decided that genin would now be seperated into teams of three and four. These teams were designed to create a balance of Genjutsu, Ninjutsu, and Taijutsu. A balance of personalities and histories.
Hitsuji had told his team mates, Mitsuhide and Ruisu, to meet him here outside the Ninja Academy. He wanted to familiarize himself with he new allies. Of course, he already knew one, and he hated him.
Mitsuhide was scum, in Hitsuji's eyes, and that opinion would never waver. Twice, now, had the boy bothered him immensely. He'd actually engaged in a bit of physical combat at their second meeting. Now he had to join together with Mitsuhide, and become a valued ally.
The other, Ruisu, was a mystery to him. He'd seen him around town a bit, but had never spoken to him. He wanted to meet this team mate, hoping he'd be a bit better than Mitsuhide.
The sun was setting, and the boy was alone behind the Academy building, in the tiny enclosure used for training. A single tree was located upon the far side of the yard. Three straw dummies stood adjacent to this tree, stock still.
The boy whistled silently as the setting sun cast shadows upon the lawn, moving them longer and contorting their original silhouettes.
