It didn’t take Muteki long to reach his destination. He headed straight for the dojo of the tensora master Tohno Shiba. He had learned of him when kage, and had always wished to learn his techniques, but was unable to in his brief tenure. The dojo was fairly barren right now, as it would seem most of his students had left for a holiday of some kind. Lucky for Muteki this dojo doubled as master Shiba’s home. Strolling up, Muteki knocked on the door to the building.
The man answered and after a brief conversation and Master Shiba understanding most of his concerns, he allowed dojo access to Muteki. He was quite the brilliant and understanding man. He seemed most concerned with spreading his teachings to students and not so much about the student’s poor track record. He was a man with a decent heart in Muteki’s mind. With the introductions and character commentary out of the way, the two began working.
The first thing Muteki had to learn was the basic stance in the sky discipline of tensora. He was given a practice pole arm to use while in the dojo, and shown the style once. Just like goken Muteki knew the stance was extremely important. It allowed the practitioner to move in the most necessary ways with ease and helped cut out the distractions around them. It didn’t take him long to get a handle on the stance. He merely needed to stand almost sideways to his opponent, allowing a decent field of vision and range of motion, with the naginata at the most comfortable of positions at his side.
