Love fades in the fog...(Open RP)

[Seto]

Kimiko would wander through the land of water and as she did she would find herself near a beautiful natural pond, the trees and flowers around her were beautiful. It had a real feeling of serenity about it, something that she felt warm about inside. She would look around to see for the most part she was alone. A slight sigh would escape her soft pink lips as she closed her eyes for a bit longer than a standard blink. As her eyelids rose up her vision returned but the beauty she had once seen was now fading. Rolling thickening fog had began to fill the surroundings. Everything that's beautiful always seems to fade once Kimiko get's near it.

She sat down on a small boulder that seemed to have been placed there by someone a long time ago. She stared out into the thick fog, she wondered if she would ever find friends. She longed to interact with others. It had been so long, all she had was her father, and his drunken ways were getting old. The silver eyes would stare out as the black hair would lose it's purple shimmer as the fog would block out the sunlight. A second sigh would escape her lips at this point. When was it going to be her time to shin...

A rather large pond would be sitting near the edge of the Mist village, just on the outside of it, where the trees would surround it and form a large forest like area. From the small area near the back where the shadows were falling over the area, a young boy, a rather large and tall man, would emerge. The shadow and gourd on his back would make him look large. In actuality he would be a rather slender and toned man.

He walked over to the pond, his steps rather short and swift. He would eye the water as he neared it. His cool and calm reflection would look at him as his head emerged, and then the rest of his body would appear to. This was on the opposite side of the girl whom was already there, sitting on a rock. He looked at it and had no real facial expression. He simply stared at the water, and his pitch black eyes would peer back in the water. He blinked a bit as he was thinking, but his thoughts would be broken as something had caught his eye.

A young girl, with black hair, and interesting clothing would be sitting on a rock, a little ways away from him, on the opposite side of the pond. He would look up and stare at her. No words were exchanged as he looked at her. He wasn't aware at the moment as if she would be staring back, but if she were he would simply continue to stare for a few seconds, before lifting his right hand and waving at her. He waved shortly.

[Seto]

As she sat there in the silence thinking about the universe itself she would feel a strange presence. Something like premonition would hit her and she would slowly lift her eyelids, and shifted her head slightly to her left. Her silver eyes would catch the presence of a man, his tall yet slender build, leading up to short black hair that seemed to flare off. Deep black eyes seeming to catch her own, she became short of breath as she peered into his eyes. A quick shift in her head facing forward once more, her black hair would swirl about through the fog. Her cheeks would take a slight pink shade from embarrassment. Get yourself together... she would tell herself and turn back to him. He had waved to her, so she would stand up.

Straightening out her black dress she would then slowly take a few steps towards the boy, slightly shy and nervous. Something was strange about this meeting. Deep in the fog, where one can't see to much, so much danger can hide in what was once plain sight. She would smile slightly and nod at him. She went to speak but nothing came from her mouth, so she would quickly close her pink lips. How could she embarrass herself this much in front of a complete stranger. It was so out of character for her to act this way.

Van would find himself now meeting eyes with the silver eyed girl. She had a somewhat woman like aura about her. Was she a shinobi or just a civilian of the country? She didn't seem like she could do much harm. She looked too...womanly. Thats all that could come to the young man's mind, as his lowered his hand and continued to stare, as her figure. Before any other movements could be made a shushin technique would be used. The boy using his spectacular speed would end up behind the girl, looking her in the back of the head. He said nothing but surely she would see him.

OOC: Crappy post, but I had to rush out the house.

[Seto]

Quick movements were made, and she was slightly startled. Caught off guard, as she realized he was behind her. She would reach back towards her Rezawaia Katana that settled on the outside of her red jacket. The handling hanging over her left shoulder, her right hand would meet the handle as she turned pivoting on his left foot, her right shoulder would lower as she turned to face him. She didn't pull the blade loose, but merely kept her guard up for now. She was a fool to be so open up until now. Her silver eyes made contact with his mist headband, but it was on his arm not his forehead like hers. Could this man truly be trusted just because of that scrap of metal?

"No need to rush things," she would say, her face more so on the annoyed side of an expression. She wasn't looking to fight this man, she wasn't in such a mood today. But she wasn't going to get down on her knees and allow him to kill her. If she couldn't avoid confrontation she would accept it.

No movements would be made as the woman reacted. Surely Van expected her to react in some way like this. It was one of the outcomes he had come to produce in his head. The blade on her back would be held still, as she held the handle in her hands. He examined her. Even more close she appeared to be an even more attractive woman. Perhaps at some point in the future Van would appreciate it.

"I see...." He would say, lifting his right hand, and pointing his index finger up toward his closed lips, slightly pushing the upper lip higher. "You must be a shinobi then. Your slender body and nice build. The katana on your back. Your swift reaction. You must be skilled in taijutsu, I take it." He had deducted this information from just the few seconds they would have seen each other.

"Please, no need to get rash. I have no need of harming you. Such beauty should never face such things. It's...illogical." He would say, his voice somewhat low, and maybe shy? Though shy wasn't the case it would seem that way.

[Seto]

Kimiko would listen to his voice, a rather calming tone in his voice. But it was just then when she noticed he was eying her up and down. She blushed and stood straight up, letting go of her hand and crossing her arms in front of her chest. His next words would definitely catch the young girl off guard. This boy was rather pushing his luck, but for some reason she was enjoying the attention. But how could this boy miss the headband placed properly on her forehead. "Well I am a ninja, and this proves that," she said a bit sarcastically as she pointed up at her face, directly at the forehead protector.

"I take it one so observant can even be distracted?" she would say with a slight giggle behind her words. This shinobi wasn't paying to much attention to her face. It wouldn't be a first time. She would keep a deep focus upon his eyes, there was something odd about how dark they really were, of course she wasn't one to talk.

"My name is Kimiko Sakurai of the Hidden Mist Village," she would say as she held out her right hand. She knew it was only proper to give her name before asking of someone's.

"Well in the end it s nothing more than some metal and cloth." Van would say, lowering his hand, and lifting his other to scratch the back of his wild hair. His voice now more confident than before. He still however looked as if something he wanted to say just wouldn't come out. His eyes were peering downward, even though he was speaking to her. "A real shinobi needs no certification." He would say, lowering his scratching hand.

His body would hunch over a little, causing him not to stand at his full height. His hands would pull back and reach into his pockets. His knees and elbows bent somewhat, and made his composure look that way. The black eyes of the man would peer up at her face. She introduced herself, as any person would and Van listened to her name as she presented it. Her right hand too would be presented to shake.

"Sakurai, Kimiko. A pleasure." He would say, taking his right hand out of his pocket, and shaking the girl's hand lightly. He would then release it, and lower it back into his pocket. An odd action had been taken but absolutely no one would notice. All the while Van's facial expression hadn't changed much. He had the same mellow look to him, as if nothing in the world moved him. He stared through his bangs which shadowed his head and almost covered his eyes as if they weren't there.

Vibrations in the water would start to shake the reflection of the two shinobi as they stood near the lake where the girl was found. "So, what brings you out here, miss Sakurai, Kimiko?" Van would speak with great curiosity and interest.

[Seto]

The man shook her hand and then released it yet he never gave his name. It would confuse her slightly, as she wondered if he hadn't caught the notion or not. But he would ask her another question. She would take both of her hands behind her back around her waist level and clasp them there. "It's beautiful out here, isn't it?" she would respond to his question with her own in a way. "Beauty draws the hearts of many... I'm sorry but I didn't catch your name," she would say, he still wasn't looking at her face for the most part.

She looked down towards the water's edge to see the reflection of the two shinobi, and it seemed odd. She was never this close to someone for a period of time without any form of conflict flaring up. It was weird, but it was also comforting to her. Something seemed right, but it was just too hard to explain at the moment. So she left it up to this mystery man to decide the path they would follow. Leaving her fate in the hands of a stranger, something that she did too often.

Van listened to the woman's explanation for being out. Beauty. It was something that interested and attracted many. Especially Van himself. He was prone to be attracted to beautiful things and what made them so desirable. Beauty was in the eyes of the beholder, and yet it was shared by so many. Did everyone really just have the same views of beauty? This would be a mystery Van investigated every so often.

She would then ask for his name, after Van had thought for a moment. He blinked inquisitively. "My name? Hmmm." He said, lowering his eyes, and placing his index finger upon his lips once more. After a very short pause he would come up with an answer. His dark eyes still at the ground. "My name isn't very important. You may call me whatever you like. I have been known to be called Z by most however. If that is to your liking you may use it." He looked up at the woman, and smiled a bit.

Van had an adorable face, that was rarely seen, but it would be revealed here as he smiled. Like a child happy that he had made an accomplishment. His large eyes peering at the woman's face. She would look back to him and he would close his eyes, still smiling.

"I suppose it is rather nice out. Not very often us shinobi get moments like these in life. Ya never know when someone will just sweep by and take it. Funny how the thing we hang on to the most can be taken away with little effort." Van would suddenly drop for the floor, landing on his feet. He had crouched down, pushing his knees up against his chest. His posterior barely floated above the ground. He looked at the ground, and took his index finger and starting moving it along the dirt, forming small paths on the ground. He had wondered what to say next.

[Seto]

He would seem to think for a moment before finally giving his name to her, playing the adorable card to his favor it would seem. His smile would brighten her up as a giggle slipped loose from her lips. She would smile back at the man. His name was odd, rather informal it would seem. None the less she would accept the name he had given to her. He would move on to speak about how rare this situation was, as if he could read her mind. But his quick crouching position would startle her only slightly. She had let her guard down once more. She really should learn to handle herself better in these situations, despite how rare they might be.

"Life is a frail thing, something that as shinobi we seem to throw it around so aimlessly," she would add to his statement. It was something she felt to be the truest in her line of work. She would look up to try and see the sky but the thick fog was still blocking her view. It would slowly begin to move on but still, not allowing her to see the sky.

She would look back out to the water's edge. She closed her silver eyes only slightly, a bit longer than a standard blink. A quiet sigh would escape her. She felt relaxed in this place, it was so calming and welcoming. She wondered if Z felt the same. "Do you enjoy being here Z?" she would ask, knowing that hidden meanings could lay within such a question. It would still stand.

Van would listen to the woman, as she proceeded to add on to his statement. Even she would have to agree that the life of a shinobi was an odd one. It was an odd occupation for a human being, being ones whom might take a life, yet fight so tirelessly for their own. Human existence would be Van's greatest mystery. He would die before he gave up on knowing what his purpose was. Surely it couldn't be to take another life. He had lived a while, and someone could easily take his life right now. It was odd.

A question however was proposed to him, as the winds picked up, placing the smell of water upon his nostrils, and making him smell the common smell of Mist. Though thick the Kimiko would come in clearly in his line of vision. He looked up at her as she asked him did he enjoy being there. He didn't have to think at all to answer that.

"I guess you could say that. I am just glad to be enjoying life. Are you enjoying being here right now? I surely hope I am not a bother to you, Sakurai, Kimiko." He said as he turned his eyes back forward, and stared out into the water, and the Mist that would proceed to swallow it up from afar.

She makes me feel...weird. He would think, as his peripheral vision would pick her back up. Her chipper and cute face, and care free composure. This was something new to Van, however he felt it was something familiar about the feeling.

[Seto]

He answered in a way that she expected him to, not completely predictable yet not unreliable. She still smiled, it was a good day, a good place for her to be. She felt the most at home, ever since, that day. She never thought someone would ever welcome her again, not since the day she changed. He would ask her a question, or two really as he continued to speak. She could tell he was slightly nervous in it all. It was cute, and she couldn't deny that. Looking over her shoulder to him she would nod. "I do like being here. Trust me, you're more than welcomed to stay here. You're quite the opposite of a bother," she would say as she smiled at him.

She wondered why things were going over so smoothly, was she putting herself out there just as much as he was? Or was it just by chance and fate that these two souls met on this day in the fog. It continued to dissipate and she welcomed the light of the shining sun from above. Now being able to see her surroundings much easier. She wondered how long this serenity could last, and how much she could offer to a man named Z...

[zieg]

"Opposite?" He said, cocking a hidden eyebrow. His hair wouldn't allow for him to have his eyebrows be revealed. This would most likely be the reason to his never changing expressions. His eyebrows couldn't be seen so one could hardly see what kind of face he could be making. He didn't mind his hair at all, though it's a wonder how he is able to see with all the spikes in his face. Regardless he ignored the issue.

"So..." He said lightly. He looked up at the girl with a curious face. His right index finger pressed against his lips once more, as this was a sign that he was in thought and was taking everything around him in. As he made this look the sun would come out, and start to shine down slightly. Though the mist was still thick small rays would burst through. Several smaller rays and a large one would hit the two shinobi there. His bright clothing would be seen now. His dark eyes now showing some small dark blue color in them, but barely.

"Would you say I am...fun?" He said, wondering if that wasn't the case. Van hardly spent time around people. This girl would actually be one of his first encounters living among Mist shinobi, aside from the kage and Ziro.

[Seto]

It would seem that her words would strike his attention quite well. Kimiko was well trained with how to deal with people and situations for the most part. Being trained on how to hold her own in a conversation and to lure others into it with the simplest of words. An art of the female mind no doubt. She smiled as she turned towards him. His question would spark her own interest in him. She would crouch down carefully keeping her knees and thighs together to make sure that nothing was seen up her skirt. "You could say that..." she would say now face to face within him. Looking into his eyes, his a dark variation her's just the opposite.

It would seem that opposites do attract quite well. "But I'm not a good judge of character," she would add to her statement. "I'm a better judge in a different environment," she would have waited only a second before adding her final statement to Z. He seemed to be quite the enjoyable guy. She couldn't help but have a good time up until now, so where would this lead?

[zieg]

Van would watch as the girl brought herself down to his level. His eyes met with hers once they were both at a level. She seemed to have copied him quite well. Considering she had a skirt and was a woman and a human in general it was impressive to see her take that position, as he himself was the only person he knew that sat like that. He would continue to remain silent.

Her silver eyes vibrating loud in his mind. Nothing at all like the dark eyes Van has been seeing for the many many years of his life. It was something new to see such bright eyes, however they did hold a hint of pain and sadness. Small details in her eyes would reveal these secrets. He wanted to know but wasn't one to pry. For now he would shrug the thought of. She had made a comment about what he said before. Following up with a line that would make Van's ears almost jump.

"A different environment?" He said, his index finger still pressed against his lips. "What might that be?" He said with curiosity as his mind scrambled to try and find some possible answer to the question he presented himself. The two were rather close. It would be an odd site from afar, but for now they were alone, but for how long?

[Seto]

The two were close and Z had remained silent up until her final comments. She kept on smiling as she stared into his eyes, when he questioned the thing she spoke of it was exactly what she wished for. She would take his right hand in hers as she quickly stood up pulling him up with her. "Come with me and I'll show you," she said as she tugged him along side with her.

She was headed towards the Mist Village. She needed civilization to show him what she was talking about. So hopefully he wouldn't struggle too much. If not then they would make their way to the Village of Mist.

(Sorry, not the best post... but better to come!)

"Eh?" He said, as she exclaimed she would show him what she was talking about. She removed his index finger from his lip, which would completely take him out of his comfort zone and he was pulled up off the ground, and started to be tugged along, as she wanted to give him an example of what she ment. Van was all for using the real thing to give an example, which is what she was planning.

His heart started to beat a little faster, as he allowed himself to be tugged along. He cooperated somewhat, making her not drag his complete weight. He was curious to know what she was talking about. This was the first time something like this had happened. He wasn't sure what the outcome of this little action would be, but it would be something.

The mist in the sky would cover the rays once more, as the two figures became shades, and eventually became dark shadows as they left the lake. It reflected once more, vibrating and making waves before nothing happened at all. The area was bare.

[Seto]

As she pulled on his hand she would realize he was following her but she had no intention of letting go until she got to her destination. "We're not too far away," she would say as she looked back over her shoulder smiling at Z. She wondered how willing he really would be once they reached their destination. Or even how willing she would be once they got there. Only time could tell at this point.
