I ran into the streets and toward the arena where the concert was to take place. It was quiet… too quiet… Oh wait, they haven’t set up the concert quite yet… I ran through the large arena arches and saw the full spectacular that was to be the concert still in the works; people running about everywhere and things still not quite done yet. “Hello! I’m a ninja that someone here hired! *Arf!*” I waited for a reply, it seemed the people where so busy doing things that they didn’t even pay attention to what I was saying. “You! Shut up!” It was a rather large man; he had a yellow shirt and the word ‘security’ along the back in black letters. He looked angrily at me, like as if I had broken something… “Eek! I didn’t break anything…” I raised my hands. “No such luck kid, you’re in for much worse. If you’re our ninja-for-hire then you better get to work.”
“What work? What do I do?” I was lost. The man simply shrugged. “I dunno… I was going to have you stay in the crowd and do security from there but…” What?!? Security from the crowd! My mind wandered and I imagined myself listening to the rocking bands while doing ‘security work’ out in the crowd. I’d be lifted in one of those ‘human wave’ things and ride the crowd, it would rock! “But sense you’ve just blown your own cover, we can use you backstage to tend to the bands that aren’t on stage.” Ugh, no crowd surfing for me… it was better than something like outside security work at least. The large man turned around and began to walk away. “So where do I go?” He replied without even turning around. “I just told you! Get back stage!” Eek! I scampered through the arena past the man and back behind the stage.
I ran around the stage and almost ran into a person coming out, I needed to walk from here on I guess. I walked through the door and looked around, there was only a few bands already there, the band we had escorted ‘ThunderStruck’ was one of them. “Hey Rob! *Arf!*” I called out to the lead singer who was preparing his hair. “Hey dude, call me Robbie.” He turned around and smiled at me. “Now what are you here for? Picture? Autograph? Mayb…” I cut him off quickly. “No, nothing like that. I’m your ninja body guard again. I’m guarding all of the bands while their back stage.” Rob looked at me strangely. “Again? Oh yeah! You’re that one dude… Katony!” I looked at him and blinked, how could he have forgotten me already?
“Well anyways, could you get me a soda, I’m rather thirsty.” What? A soda?!? “Dude, I’m your body guard, not your servant. B-O-D-Y G-U-A-R-D, got it?” He had turned back around and was fixing up his hair again. “Whatever. It doesn’t look like we need one right now so… Anything else you can do?” Ugh, when the security guard has said I’d wish I had just broken something, he was right… “I’m not here for your amusement; I’m here to stop assassins, thieves, murderers, ninja, and other life threatening things.” He was silent, fixing up his hair until it was perfect and ignoring the world around him. I simply left, I was done with the guy and nothing but trouble would come from staying around him. “Hey Katony, does my hair look good? …Katony?”
I stepped back into a corner or the backstage area, I could see almost everything and I wouldn’t get run over by the people going everywhere. “Oh right, let’s see if I can finish training my new Genjutsu.” I began where I had left off, I had formed a circle around the surrounding area and was getting ready to start actually use the Genjutsu. I made the handsigns and focused my chakra on the area around me; the sphere of chakra grew quickly and stayed formed. I knew this time I would master this Genjutsu! I finished the Genjutsu and focused on the doorknob of the door that led out of the backstage area and into the arena.
It seemed to work! The doorknob didn’t seem invisible to me, but the people trying to exit the backstage area where totally lost. The light could be seen shining through the hole where the doorknob used to be, I was getting really good at these invisibility Genjutsu. Maybe someday I would become a master assassin and thief, able to infiltrate anywhere without noise or sight and nobody would know what they where missing until it was already too late. Such a fantasy, it was a goal, and I would try to make it come true!
Invisibility Sphere
Rank: "C" "B" Rank
Skill: GenJutsu
Effect: A technique that confers invisibility upon all creatures witihn the distance of ten meters
Special: "Handseals"
Drawback: Affected creatures (other than the recipient) who attack negate the invisibility only for themselves. The Jutsu ends if the subject attacks any creature. If the user who performs the technique attacks, the invisibility sphere ends. When the user learns the "B" Rank version then those who are affected stays invisible, or if they attack an opponent. However no matter what if the user who performs this technique attacks will always have the Jutsu ended when they attack.
Description: A technique that has a distance of that of ten meters from the user or who the user touches. The center of the effect is mobile with the recipient. The creature or object included becomes invisible, vanishing from sight, even from darkvision. If the recipient is a creature carrying gear, that vanishes, too. Those affected by this Jutsu can see each other and themselves as if unaffected by the Jutsu. Any affected creature moving out of the area becomes visible, but creatures moving into the area after the Jutsu is cast do not become invisible. Items dropped or put down by an invisible creature become visible; items picked up disappear if tucked into the clothing or pouches worn by the creature. Light, however, never becomes invisible, although a source of light can become so (thus, the effect is that of a light with no visible source). Of course, the subject is not silenced, and certain other conditions can render the recipient detectable (such as stepping in a puddle). Actions directed at unattended objects do not break the Jutsu. Causing harm indirectly is not an attack. Thus, an invisible being can open doors, talk, eat, climb stairs, summon monsters and have them attack, cut the ropes holding a rope bridge while enemies are on the bridge, remotely trigger traps, open a portcullis to release attack dogs, and so forth.
Limit: Must know Glamor Perception of GenJutsus, Must know Invisibility
