Beep. Beep. Beep.
A winged, heart-shaped clock sat atop a wooden table by an occupied bed with the alarm ringing loudly. The form in the bed moved once and then stopped. Then moved again, a soft groan of annoyance being heard then as the figure extended an arm out from underneath the covers and towards the cause of the noise. The hand brushed the tip of the left wing of the clock rather roughly and nearly knocked it to the floor, but her fingers moved quickly and grasped the wing in a awkward manner before it had the chance to fall any further. The hand lifted and placed the clock in it's original place before the fingers started roaming over the front of the bothersome device. A single digit found the desired black button and slid it to the right.
Silence.
The arm retracted back underneath the warm haven of the covers and the form went still. A moment passed and the body rolled to the right and then became as still as it previously was, but with an exasperated sigh and an expletive the body rose up into a sitting position. The blankets fell and exposed a disheveled and sleepy looking female. Copper tresses were all of the place, eyes squinting while attempting to open but the light-filled room made it quite difficult. A hand moved and pushed back her bangs before rubbing the sleep from her eyes.
'Damn that alarm, I don't even remember setting it.' Aki thought to herself as she glanced at the clock. It read exactly nine o'clock. "At least I didn't break it. Mom would've kicked my butt if I had." she spoke aloud as she stretched her arms upward and gave a smirk at the mental that appeared after she spoke her previous statement. Her mom was the passive and peaceful type but since she had given the clock as a special gift, she would lay down some serious butt kicking on her daughter if she broke it with her early morning irritability. The smirk remained as a feeling of homesickness swept over her, but she brushed it off as she inched over and climbed up out of bed.
A shudder was given at the slight coolness the room had after she had gotten out from the warmth of her bed. Dressed simply in a peach colored tank top and white pajamas bottoms, Aki made her way towards the bathroom. She shut the door behind her and began her normal morning routine. After an hour and a half, she emerged from the bathroom and was now dressed in a long, white bathrobe and a towel wrapped around her head. Soft footsteps led her to her closet where she chose her outfit for the day.
After closing the curtains, Aki put on the clothing she picked out. Since she was going to explore the village today, and go out into cold November weather, she chose a long, black, tunic top with a gray jacket with black leggings, socks, and her usual black boots. She then removed the towel from her head and moved back into the bathroom to dry her hair. The whirring of the hairdryer could be heard as her wet tresses became dry. Once done and having her hair look decent, she exited the bathroom once again and this time, she closed the door and leaned against it. Her eyes scanned the room briefly while she tried to remember where she had placed her headband.
It hit her after a minute and she moved towards the table beside her bed where her alarm clock was at. She opened the single drawer and let out a delighted sigh as she reached her right hand forward and removed the headband. Relief was felt as she lifted up both hands this time and tied the headband around her hair in the style she would use as if it were a regular hair band. After adjusting her hair a bit she gave a nod before moving out of her bedroom and into the hallway, towards the living room. Her eyes wandered along her surroundings with a sense of satisfaction.
Since she had just arrived recently and she had been busy furnishing her apartment and then fell asleep for nearly two days, so she hadn't gotten the chance to really enjoy her own place. Even though she only had the basic appliances along with a minimal amount of furniture the apartment felt cozy. When Aki reached the front door, she looked around once more before stepping out. Her key clicked in confirmation that front door was now locked securely.
Her hands slipped into the front pockets of her jacket along with her keys and she turned and walked down the hallway and came upon the staircase and began her day's adventure walking down the two cases of stairs.
