Aburame Shiro stood outside the gates of the Stone Village, the cold air brushing through his hair. He was dressed in a long, black cloak, his eyes obscured by the flickering hood. He sighed, looking down at his gloved hand. His world… Had come undone. He had lived, breathed, for Pandoru. And now she was gone. The girl he had loved the most had disappeared out into the wilderness. One morning she had been here, the next, she was gone. What happened? How could that be? There had been no clues, no answers, no signs of forced entry, nor of her planning to leave. She was just gone.
“My life…” He whispered to himself. “My love…” Gathering up his possessions had been quick and easy; everything he really valued had been packed into a single bag. That bag was slung over his shoulder, currently, resting on his back. His life rested between his shoulder blades. But another part of his life, his heart, his very existence, was gone. And more than anything else in the world, Aburame Shiro wanted it back.
Rizuno had tried to stop him. Rizuno had told Shiro that he would look himself. But they both knew that the search would be limited to the Earth Country as long as Rizuno was bound as an ANBU of Iwagakure. They both knew what had to be done. Maybe Shiro would never be able to return. That would be alright with him, as long as he found Pandoru. He wanted her, so badly it ached every moment he was away.
He wanted her back. He didn’t spare a single glance at the gate behind him. He had only one goal in mind: Find Pandoru. And he would do everything in his power to accomplish it. Maybe if he found her, one day he could come back. But the world was a big place, and it could take his whole life to find her. That was okay. She was his life anyway, so without her, he was living on useless time, in his mind.
“I’m coming to get you, Panda.” He whispered to himself. Never once did he look back.
Sakurai-Aburame Shiro – Retired
(Basically, finally using my scrap. This is only my second character, so no, it has not been used.)
