Custom Jutsu in Creation
This warm, rainy day, one lone ninja left the park, and set out for the river. The wind whipped around and around, he merly laughed at it, for it could not hurt him. He had finally mastered his technique, and nothing could stop him. But as he walked, he felt, a twinge of sadness. His friends were probably going to the Chuunin exams, while he was stuck here. He could go if he wanted to, he just didn't. That was it, he told himself, and he continued to walk away. Thoughts of his friends carried him all the way around the village, as he explored and pondered what to do with the day. He had it all to himself, and he couldn't care less. But as he thought of his friends, he thought about their last adventure together. He had been utterly useless, while his friends had fought together bravely. His actions might have saved them, but he was still a coward for getting help from others. He lamented his actions greatly, and he wished he had the strength to stand up to the ninja and fight with his allies. He opened his eyes, and looked around.
Lightning crackled above his head, and the rain poured down on him. He sighed, and looked down. He was standing on the edge of a cliff, and the forest loomed many feet below him. He half-laughed, for it was lucky that he had stopped, yet he was depressed enough he didn't care if he fell off. He was tempted to try it, just to see if he survived. He sighed, turned his body in a different direction. He saw a cave in a nearby stone face, and he half-heartedly walked towards it. He was amazed when he stepped inside. There was a huge pool of water, and surrounding it were skeletons of many different creatures. Sapphire-blue crystals shined above. There was a small hole in the top of the cavern. The rain trickled down it, and dropped into the pool with a plop. The rain must have gathered here over hundreds of years, creating this vast expanse of water. He stepped onto it, with the reflexive trickle of chakra to keep himself afloat. He continued to gape at the wonder that this cave was.
A thought occured to him. This would be a perfect place to hone his skills. He had wanted to keep his scrolls for summoning, but this was an exeption. He withdrew his C-Rank and stared at it. He sighed, and withdrew something to write with from his bag. He thought about what he was going to write, and then it came to him. He scribbled down his idea, then got to work. He unstrapped the spear from his back, twirled it around, then tossed it into the air. He formed a few handseals, then caught it. The water below him bubbled, then smashed him in the face. He caught himself, and stood up. Okay, wrong handsign combination. Maybe the doton seal wasn't a very good first choice. He tried again, this time using bird. It worked a little bit better, but he still was sprawling on the water. This pattern continued for a few more minutes, until he finally got some to work. He wrote those seals down, and then tried again.
He held his spear in his hands, and made the handsigns for bird, dragon, rat, ram, ox, dog, bird. The water below him fluidly moved up and wrapped itself around the spear. That was step one. He then moved the water, slowly, but surely, around the weapon. He kept this churning motion up, strengthening it each time with the momentum of of the last rotation. Finally, it was spining at a good pace. He held the spear at arm's length, wondering what to do next. He spotted a nearby crystal, and turned to face it. He held his spear up, then, with a burst of chakra for speed, he hurled it at the crystal. The result was dismal. It splashed and the spear bounced off.
He retrieved his weapon, and went back to the center. That could have gone better. He tried again. He created the handsigns, and then grabbed his weapon. The water rose once more, and he turned it quickly. He soon worked up another spiral. This time, he focused more chakra into the spinning, and it looked better than before. He hurled it at the crystal, pushing it with chakra. It's spinning didn't help much, once again it bounced off. He glared, then retrived it again.
Maybe, giving it a tip would work? He made hansigns again, and molded his chakra. The water grabbed the spear, and he oscilated it until it continued to spin without much assistance. He focused on the top of his spear, making the spinning water create a shining point. He hardened it with chakra, and synced it with the rest of the vortex. He lifted it up, and flung it forward with a burst of chakra. This time, it's aim was true. It stuck fast in the crystal, and drilled in two extra inches. Room for improvement was great, but it wasn't bad.
As he pulled the spear from the crystal, he heard a noise from the back of the cave. A huge creature stood in the entryway, snarling and growling angrily. It look perplexed for a moment, then charged at Arkai, who acted on instinct. He jumped over the animal, and turned to face his opponent. It lifted a huge claw and swiped at him. He ducked under it, and kicked the creature in the stomach. It had a hard stomach, and he was forced to retreat under the repeated slashes. He was about to attack again, then remembered his training. He formed his handsigns, then jumped into the air, the water trailing after him. It spun around and around, until it finally created the spiral. He added a tip, and aimed at the animal. With a burst of chakra, he heaved it at the creature and screamed, "Hayai Mizudoriru no Jutsu! Speedy Water Drill Technique!" It stabbed the thing in the chest, and it howled. It ripped the spear out, and ran from the cave, screaming. Arkai picked up the spear, and wiped it on the ground. So much for any more visitors...
