Training to learn:
Chishio Tensou no jutsu (Blood transfusion skill)
(Requirement - Ketsuki Gyouko (Blood Coagulation))
Rank: C
Description: Loss of blood is a serious condition, and not very uncommon one in the shinobi battlefield. When a person reaches such a dangerous state, a medical nin can ease their symptoms by using this jutsu. First, the user must open up a small cut in the patient's body in order to open a vein. Once a vein has been opened, the medical nin uses chakra in order to increase the density of the patient's blood. Thus, they won't get more blood, but more red and white blood cells are created, an effect which helps fight against the ailments and symptoms of losing blood. However, this jutsu has a downside which is the fact that the user's own blood dilutes as long as the jutsu is activated, which means that basically it is indeed a blood transfusion and the user must be careful at how much blood he or she gives to their patients.

Day 1
Michiru smiled happily as she stood in the mirror, proudly displaying her brand new headband around her small waist. Her dream had finally come true, she was now an official medical nin. She had finally joined the esteemed rank like the rest of her family. "Not bad, not bad at all." The blonde headed child grinned as she spun around once, making sure that no matter how she moved it would stay in place.
Satisfied, she walked over to her bed and bent down, reaching for something underneath. After a few moments of searching a muffled 'Ah ha!' was heard as she came back up holding a rather thick book in her hand. It was titled 'The big book o' medical stuff!' Michi laughed softly, such an interesting name. Despite its simple appearance, this was the most treasured item in Michiru's family. It was a book that each medical nin in the family had used at some point in time and had invaluable information within it. Information on jutsu, blood lines, herbs, countries, villages, people, history, seals, summons, chakra techniques and even animals! You see, every nin who has possessed this book wrote down siginificant things which happened on their journeys or rumours they had heard.
The blue eyed angel smiled, a warm feeling expanding inside her chest. It was now her turn to carry the legendary book. Throughout her adventures she will be required to write down anything and everything that she believes may prove valuable. Be it important to the future or the past. The girl had already read quite a bit of it, but she wasn't even close to finishing it. And now she would have to write in it herself! Oh well, she'd somehow manage. Not wanting to risk losing the book, she returned it to where it had came from. The only time that book would leave the house is when she went on a mission, it just seemed trivial to carry it around all the time.
Looking at her clock she noticed it was almost time for her to set off to start her first day of medical training. Standing, she gathered the necessary supplies and set off for the school. Once inside she immediately checked in with the lady behind the front desk. It was mandatory that on your first day you sign in and register properly. After going through the proccess she received her ID card and class schedule. While going over it she noticed the typical classes but one surprised her: combat. "Combat at a medical institution? Interesting." Michi smiled in relief, she thought she would have to teach herself how to fight! Good thing the school covered it.
The cheery girl finally reached her classroom and quickly took a seat. She scanned around the room and blinked in surprise. Needless to say there were not many other students around. Infact, the school itself was unnaturally quiet. Probably because there simply weren't many medical nin in Waterfall. "Ah well, just makes studying all the more easier." She assured herself. Not too many moments later her Sensei made himself known and took attendance. After that was completed he handed out the necessary books they would need to study in order to make it in the medical world.
Michi stared awkwardly at the ten books that were set infront of her, they varied from the study of chakra to a book on unarmed combat. And these weren't kiddie books, oh no! They were thick and heavy. Clearly she'd need to some day learn a summoning jutsu just for them. Once all that was cleared up, her Sensei smiled and began his lecture.
"Welcome, students. Today we begin with one of the most common problems on the battle field: blood loss. Can anyone tell me the jutsu that is used to combat this?" Michi raised her hand, drawing the Sensei's attention. "Yes, Miss Mitsukii?" "Chishio Tensou no jutsu." She replied with a smile on her face. "My, very good. Yes, that is correct. As you all know, blood loss is a serious problem for anyone but could spell instant death for a shinobi." The teacher turned to the board behind him and pointed to the various consequences of too much blood loss that he had written down.
Turning back to the class, he continued his lecture. "Our job as medical nin is to ensure the lives of our comrades. As such, this technique will prove invaluable to you. Today we will begin training in the art of this jutsu. Since no one in this class has learned the Chakra Scalpel we will have to use regular medical supplies. Please take them out now." Nodding, Michi took out the necessary tools and placed them neatly on her table. Her gaze returned to the Sensei's, listening intently to what he had to say.
"As future medical nin you should have all learned how to properly use these tools at the Academy. Now, please turn your attention to this chart." Hanging up was a picture showing the inside of the human body. Veins, organs, bones, tissue - it was all there. "The easiest area to preform this jutsu would be on the arm since veins are most prominent and visible there. Any questions so far?" The Sensei looked over the room briefly before continuing on. "Very good. Now we will begin the testing. Everyone, please gather your tools and follow me." Michiru nodded and gathered her things, following her Sensei out of the classroom and into the medical ward.
It was an extremely large and spacious room that held shinobi suffering from various ailments. The teacher motioned for the small group to follow him to the patients they would be treating. Due to the small number of medical nin, Waterfall was forced to take student aid in dealing with various injuries. However, there was always a senior medical nin on standby if something went wrong. Once at the desired area the Sensei assigned each person in the group their own patient.
Michiru walked over to hers, it was a female nin who had various bandages all over her body. Though they had managed to stop the bleeding, by the time they found her she had lost a severe amount of blood. Unfortunately, there were not enough medical nin around to assist her and thats where Michi came in. "Hello. Don't worry, i'll make sure you're healthy again!" The female nin nodded and attempted to smile but was just too weak to do so.
"Okay class, you have all studied the basics of this jutsu. It is simple. Now, take your tools and begin. Remember, chakra control is everything! Keep the blood cells balanced and don't over exert yourself." Michi nodded and pulled out a cotton swab which she used to dip in alcohol. Gently she sterilized the area in which she would make the incision. Tapping the womans arm briskly, the vein became entirely visible. "This may hurt a little. Please try to remain still and calm." Taking the scalpel into her hands she used it to create a small yet precise cut in the womans arm. Satisfied, she sat her instrument down then placed her hands a few cenimeters over the wound, one ontop of the other. Closing her eyes and focusing, she began the procedure.
"Chishio Tensou no jutsu!" Michi chanted as her hands began to radiate with chakra. Controlling it precisely, she began the transfusion. The nin winced in pain but did not move. The sun ray haired girl closed her eyes and focused on the task: careful to keep the blood cell level balanced. For three hours Michiru tediously continued the operation, extremely focused on forming the correct amount of white and red blood cells. After deciding that the woman had received enough, Michi prepared to stop the procedure. Carefully she stopped the technique but kept her hands over the wound. "That should do. Now to stop the bleeding - Ketsuki Gyouko!" The girl used the basic blood coagulation jutsu to stop the area from bleeding. It went realitively quickly because it was such a small wound. The woman turned to Michiru and mouthed a 'Thank you' before falling to sleep. The young medical nin grinned, "You're very welcome. Just focus on getting better, okay?"
Soon afterwards Michiru felt a comforting hand on her shoulder, it was her Sensei. "Exceptional work, Miss Mitsukii. Exceptional indeed." After the rest of the class had finished the Sensei gathered them all around him. "Nice work today, everyone. You have all just had your first taste of the life a medical nin lives. If this is too much of a strain for you I suggest you quit now." He paused and looked them all over sternly before continuing. "Do not forget to return to the classroom and take your books home. You will not need to bring them to school anymore but it is mandatory that you study them. Class dismissed!" With that Michi bowed in respect to her instructor and returned to the classroom, gathering her supplies and those heavy, heavy books! "Darn it, why must they be so heavy?!" Somehow, someway the girl made it home later that evening.
Taking the books up to her room, she sat them down in a corner stacked one ontop of the other. Seeing that she still had a few hours to spare, she decided to study. The book she pulled off the top was the one on medical jutsu, their effects and how to properly utilize them. After reading intensely for about three hours she decided it was time to call it. Returning the book to its proper place atop the pile, she changed into her pajamas and fell out on her bed, absolutely exhausted. It would be hard work but she wanted this more than anything! One day she would become the best medical nin in the world! With that thought lingering on her mind she drifted blissfully into dream land.
