"I see...Thank you for infroming me." The masked shinobi nodded at the other feeling his job was done and within the space of a moment he vanished in a tiny surge of water. The other man frowned at his now wet welcoming mat, his dark hair hanging over his eyes. Haunting amber eyes hidden behind dark locks peered steadily at the mat in all it's dripping mess...the eyes drew to a close. Swiftly the man picked up the mat and tossed it into the neighbors yard and the door clicked shut behind him as he returned to his home. How long had it been that he'd been living there...he'd forgotten. Even now it felt over the top, the fluffy couch, the small kitchen, the television and everything else. Kazuma...never had time for such things until now.
It had been a long time...since he hid himself from the world, becoming a hermit of sorts. The only time his door opened was when he needed to re-stock food or Anbu needed to deliver a message, neither of which happened often. He guessed they just felt sorry for him...he was Her student for that short time and they figured he wanted to know. Truth is he didn't want to know anything...besides they were telling him things he'd already known. 'Blah blah we're still searching...blah blah hope...blah blah' Kazuma was reaching his limit with these idiots. "Just tell me now and get it over with..." he mumbled to no one in particular. He sat himself down on the couch and was tempted to turn on the TV but something bothered him.
It was time to stop fooling himself...time to act his age. He was too old to be whining and pouting about it. Just say it. "She's...dead." he blinked slowly as he let it sink in. Now what? He needed to do something aside from lying around and crying allt he damn time. Slowly the shinobi pushed himself to his feet and dragged himself toward the restroom. He had to do something...but he also had to preserve her memory in some way. He found a rusty kuni on the ground just before the door...he decided he didn't want to know why it was there. Leaning just a bit he snatched it off the ground and walked into the tiny white bathroom and stared himself in the mirror. He looked horrible.
His hair was unruly...he'd let it grow too long. It hung in his face and down past his shoulders but even more than that it seemed to be thinning. He could see most of his face through it...Kazuma pulled it from his eyes and leaned forward. The bags under his eyes looked heavy and dark...his usually bright yellow-amber eyes were dull and lifeless and he just couldn't seem to manage a smile. Taking the kuni he brought it to his head and began to cut away the hair, watching it fall to the floor and into the sink in big clumps. He didn't want to cut it all though and stopped a while later, leaving it spiking out at the top and back and framing his face lightly. "I'll get someone to trim it better later..." he droned splashing water on his face. He glanced at the clock...half an hour went by?
Sighing the silent ninja found himself in his room dropping his clothes haphazzardly as he walked. He pulled the few black clothes he owned from his closet and tossed them on. The right sleeve seemed to be missing from his black shirt though the long sleeve on the left was just fine. His black pants were decorated with intresting lines and zippers, baggy on him though. Tying the belt tight he glanced around almost confused. He could have sworn he had some bleach around the house somewhere...Another hour passed and Kazuma was almost suprised to see he'd dyed his hair blond. He wasn't sure where he got the blue contacts either but that didn't feel like it mattered just yet. Locking the door behind him he left his house...his eyes set on the forest.
