Description: Koumajutsu is a Genjutsu technique that utilizes the Glamor Perception as a means of pyschological warfare. Once the five specific seals are formed the user would project his/her chakra in such a manner all who look upon them would see the God of Death, Shinigami appear behind the user. Shinigami would then enter the user's body with a ghostly outline and give the user a demonic appearance. Flame-like curse marks would appear along the user's skin as it becomes pale, fingernails would elongate up to one inch in length that tapers into a point, fangs would protrude from where the user's canine teeth would be, the user's hair would become wild and unruly to emulate that of Shinigami, and the user's eyes would glow an eerie yellow. These effects are meant to cause those affected to believe that the user has become one with Shinigami and is capable of removing souls.

The sounds of a small brush gliding across a section of scroll parchment are the only sounds coming from the desk in this genin's study room of his apartment. The genin known as Uchiha Satoshi has devised several new Genjutsu and this particular one is the subsequent technique in a larger combination. With this technique's formula complete, Satoshi rolls up the scroll and ties the small length of twine around it to hold the scroll closed and secure. He would then get up and venture over to a large, full-body mirror close to his wardrobe. With this, he intends to use the Genjutsu upon himself in order to perfect the imagery aspect.

This particular personalized Genjutsu is given the name Koumajutsu since it causes the person performing the technique to appear to become possessed by Shinigami, the God of Death, himself. In order to accomplish this feat one must form very specific chakra seals and envelope onself in chakra so it may take effect upon those who look upon them. When that catalyst is met, the Koumajutsu takes hold of any who dared to look to envision Shinigami as a part of the user.

Getting started, Satoshi calms himself and stands before the full-body mirror just far enough back to display his whole body in the best and fullest detail possible..about two meters. His feet are just inside shoulder width for comfort as he brings his hands up to begin forming the chakra seals.

Rat - Dragon - Boar - Serpent - Ram are the sequence of seals formed in such a fashion one would suspect that Satoshi was fresh from the academy instead of being a veteran genin. This slow formation of the seals is just a precaution so they aren't disrupted or formed incorrectly. While forming these seals, the Kusagakure genin does not allow himself to mold chakra to actually perform the technique. Instead, he is just getting his body familiarized with the correct seal formation. Going through the sequence severalt imes, each time being faster than the last, Satoshi's hands appear to be blurs of motion.

Upon the final 'practice' formation of the chakra seals, Satoshi's chakra is circulated throughout his body and molded in the way he felt would adequately display himself in the manner he intends. The chakra is projected outwards in all directions for the maximized distance of twenty meters. The charka almost quite literally fills the room and is sent back to Satoshi by reflecting from the mirror and taking hold on his mind.

Before him, in the center of the mirror, a ghastly robed demon appears behind his own reflection. Shinigami, has been manifest into the mortal world, or at least an illusionary image of him. The God of Death levitates down behind Satoshi and appears to fade into the shinobi's body, giving the illusion the two are fusing together to complete a demonic possession. The mirrored Satoshi appears to have long, unruly hair paled out almost to the color of bone. Flame-like curse marks appear along his arms and other potions of exposed flesh including his laterals and facial region. Fangs protrude from where his canine teeth would fingernails begin to elongate into feral-like claws. Satoshi's skin itself pales out almost as if he were actually undead.

Having the imaging aspect down efficiently enough, Satoshi ends the flow of chakra that sustains the Koumajutsu, thus ceasing the demonic figure before him, looking back through the mirror.

"Not bad..not bad at all. Now let's test this out on the living and see if the sight inspires fear and terror.." Satoshi mutters to himself shortly before leaving his apartment.

Locking the door behind him to safeguard his property and belongings, Satoshi leaves his apartment in order to seek out somebody to try the Koumajutsu out on. This technique is a personalized Genjutsu that only Uchiha Satoshi knows for he is the creator and really doesn't like to share information of this nature. Having already figured out the technique's correct visual formulations, Satoshi must now perfect the emotional aspect by causing those under the effect of the Genjutsu to feel fear and terror by the sheer sight of Shinigami.

Causing such emotions to transpire shouldn't be too much of a feat as the visual manifestation of a demonic, supernatural entity would surely be enough to unnerve even the staunchest of would-be warriors. This technique is designed to prey upon the fears of mortality and bring those to their knees whomever may look upon Satoshi. Of course, this is solely to obliterate their guard so they are easier to dispatch.

The ideal test subject for the remainder of this technique would be somebody who is either young, old, or highly superstitious. The young fear the dead and undead. The old fear the end of their lives. The superstitious fear what they do not comprehend. The best chances of finding such a subject would be to visit the village's hospital and find a target in the eldery wing. With that in mind the Uchiha bounds off into the village streets.

Luckily for him the hospital is not far and he is able to gain entry with casual poise and demeanor, walking freely throughout the white hallways until he comes to a small side room where a older man is watching television. He appears to be completely oblivious to Satoshi's presence and that is a good thing.

"Perfect.." the genin mutters under his breath while forming the required chakra seals for the Koumajutsu technique. The energies from within Satoshi's body are pooled together and projected around the man in such a way it would cause anybody who looks upon him to see their worst nightmares.

The abrubt movements cause the man to realize Satoshi is there and draws his attention to look upon him, only to enthrall him within the Genjutsu. Instantly the man sees Satoshi as a demonic being with paled skin decorated with black, flame-like cursed marks, wildly waivering bone-white hair, elongated fangs and fingernails, glowing red eyes and the intent to kill. The very sight causes the man to shriek and fall out of his chair, gasping for air and clutching his chest.

"I have come for you old man...Your time has now come..." Satoshi says to the man while masking his voice to make him sound more plausible in his possession. The man yells from fear and pain as he claws at his chest, writing in pain from a sudden heart attack before going limp.

Satoshi would then end the Genjutsu and run to the man's side as if he had just arrived. Seconds later nurses and orderlies run up and take the man away and ushering Satoshi out of the hospital.

It had been quite some time since Satoshi had visited Setsuna in her Gyakusatsu compound inside Kusagakure no Sato. The morning had not yet turned into afternoon and the air is still cool and refreshing with just enough of a cool crisp to ward off any heat. Luckily for Satoshi, the streets are mostly calm with other shinobi being out on missions, civilians being inside tending to their various daily routines, merchants and other vendors taking it easy and not peddling their wares off on just any passer-by. The day is nearly perfect for training.

The younger of the two Uchiha approaches the steps to the dojo, only to be greeted with it opening and his sensei standing before him. However, behind her are four more versions of herself. Something is definitely amiss while the first Setsuna steps back to allow Satoshi to enter the dojo properly.

“I’m glad you’ve returned Satoshi-kun. Today’s lesson I shall instruct you through your first C-rank technique. It is called Shounutssuten, or ‘Vanishing Point’ as some call it. This technique is one that employs several decoys in formation to help conceal your own attack. However, some shinobi are smart enough to see through the diversions so you have to be careful when using this particular technique. Arm yourself and we’ll begin. Your objective is to find out which one is the real me and guard yourself from my attack without using your Sharingan..” Setsuna says to her student.

“Without my Sharingan? I can see the logic behind that handicap. It would help me discern between clones and real enemies without having to drain my chakra into using my doujutsu..” Satoshi thinks to himself as he walks to the center of the main floor with his bokken in his right hand. He assumes the Chuuhan no Shisei stance and waits for the onslaught to begin, holding the tip of the bokken at one of the Setsunas.

Without warning the group of Setsunas begin their attack. The lead bunshin directly in front of Satoshi lunges at the student with a slash, only to vanish upon meeting with Satoshi’s bokken when used in a block. Before he could react, he is already attacked by another Setsuna from the left flank. Satoshi rolls out of the way of the cleave. This Setsuna is a clone as well as it vanishes after making its attack, but another attacks. Satoshi has no option other than to raise his bokken up, but the attacker vanishes and a hard smack hits the back of his head. Apparently the real Setsuna slipped through the collection of clones and out-maneuvered Satoshi.

“You did alright, but you can improve greatly Satoshi-kun. Take a meditation break and wait a little while for another student to arrive so you may test this same technique.”

Satoshi nods to his sensei and puts his bokken into his sash as if it were an actual sword. After that he walks to the side of the floor, turning and bowing, then dismissing himself to sit upon a padded tatami mat upon his knees so he can wait in comfort.

For what seemed to be hours Satoshi sat in the lotus position awaiting for somebody to show up so he may train this new technique. He knows he cannot train it effectively against Setsuna-sensei for two major reasons. She is a Gyakusatsu master, and she is an Uchiha. Those two factors combined make the woman a very formidable and deadly fighter. Satoshi simply would not be able to fool her well enough with the technique to work, so he must wait for somebody else.

Finally, the sliding paper doors to the dojo open up and in steps a young man perhaps of his late teenage years. He is about up to Satoshi’s chin height and is obviously a genin. Like Satoshi, the young man has dark hair and eyes, but a slightly larger build. Obviously this kid enjoys martial arts and other forms of Taijutsu.

“Akido, come inside. I’ve asked you to come to my Gyakusatsu school because you were wanting to test your Kenjutsu skills against one of my students. Well, today is your lucky day. I just happen to have one of my students here and he has some training to do himself. Akido, meet Satoshi. Satoshi, Akido will be your opponent,” Setsuna says as she shows the kid into the main floor.

Satoshi says nothing nor does he nod in at least a minimal acknowledgement to his adversary. He merely locks his steeled gaze upon the kid and stands from his lotus position, tucks his bokken into his sash, then enters the floor. He takes the center of the floor opposite of Akido and holds up his hands and quickly forms three simple chakra seals, molding his chakra through some very basic academy Genjutsu that creates five clones of himself. They appear not from puffs of smoke like other types of clones, but rather just phase into view all around Satoshi. They all unsheath their bokkens in unison and shuffle around in order to confuse Akido.

“What the hell is this? I thought we were going to fight, not play with clones..” Akido growls as he unsheathes his own bokken and takes a couple steps back. It’s somewhat obvious to Satoshi he isn’t able to discern between bunshin and reality. This is a little typical for most shinobi until they are exposed to the situation.

Rather than give Akido time to become accustomed to the bunshin, Satoshi sends one of his clones to attack the kid. Akido defends quite efficiently by blocking and attacking the clone, causing its chakra to be disrupted enough to dispell it. Immediately two more clones attack Akido, but he fends them off just as easily causing them to vanish. Now there are two clones and Satoshi left. It’s time to put this technique into full play. All three charge at Akido simultaneously with the two clones taking point on the right and left sides and Satoshi is in the center towards the rear. The two clones zig-zag several times with Satoshi moving faster yet, alternating between the two so they create a triple pattern.

Akido looks on and tries to read through the movement patterns, but is appearing to fail as he makes a sideslash at one of the clones’ head, disrupting and destroying the bunshin. However, this was precisely the moment Satoshi had been waiting for. The last clone charges head on while Akido focuses on it. Just before he can attack the clone, he is knocked to the ground from a hard attack from behind. Satoshi had managed to get to his flank and blast him on the spine with his bokken with a hard forward slash.

Applause sounds from the corner as Setsuna walks onto the floor.

“You may leave Akido. Clearly your Kenjutsu is no match for Gyakusatsu. Satoshi-kun, very well done.”

Satoshi bows, then exits the floor to get some water to drink. He doesn’t even bid Akido a farewell as he believes the kid is too weak and therefore below him which warrants no further attention.

Description: Niku Suraisu is a Taijutsu technique where the attacker waits for an enemy to attack him/her with a kicking or punching attack. Before the attack is able to land, the swordsman uses a rapid but shallow counter-slash in order to damage the leg or arm, depending on the attack. If the cut is deep enough it could potentially damage the nerves and cause more substantial bleeding.

After learning the previous technique, Satoshi has spent a little under an hour resting and thinking about the general focus and purpose of the Gyakusatsu. So far all of the techniques he had learned had been more oriented against opponents who wield some kind of weapon, or revolved around decoys and other distractions. With a heavy sigh, he breaks the silence between the two swordsmen.

“Setsuna-sensei, I have to ask a question. Does the Gyakusatsu have any techniques that are designed to combat against unarmed opponents? I know one would think that an armed opponent is of course more powerful, but I know for a fact that some hand-to-hand fighters are extremely fast and powerful.”

The elder Uchiha sets down her tea cup and smiles, savoring the last drop of her drink.

“Yes, Satoshi-kun, there are a few techniques just for that purpose. One I suppose I could teach you right now. It is called ‘Niku Suraisu’ and it could be very deadly when timed correctly. Of course, you run the risk of being out-maneuvered and attacked, but without risk there is no true combat. Stand and we’ll begin,” Setsuna says as the two Uchiha stand up and walk with each other to the main training floor.

“First you must wait to be attacked by an unarmed opponent. It is best to wait for a punch, but this technique can be used against kicks as well. You would have to have precise timing in order to avoid being hit and still manage to inflict damage on your opponent. Your goal is to cut into the flesh and through to the nerves and/or blood vessels. Depending on how much damage you inflict would determine your opponent’s fighting potential. Naturally one cannot fight effectively if one’s leg is cut deeply and bleeding profusely. Let’s begin..” Setsuna says to Satoshi. She pulls out a small tube of lipstick and paints a broad stripe down along the striking tip of her bokken. “Come at me with some kind of punching attack.”

Satoshi does as he is told and lunges at Setsuna with a sudden right hook with enough actual force to knock somebody out. He isn’t afraid to use force on somebody of Setsuna’s caliber as he knows she is fully capable of tearing him apart if he is too far out of line. The punch careens through the air in a wide arc meant to hit the woman in the side of the jaw. His punch misses however, as Setsuna sidestepped and angled her body to face the direction the punch is coming from. His arm goes slightly numb as she swipes the tip of her bokken down along the length of his forearm and across his right bicep. Along the same path as what would have been a deep gash is a red line from the lipstick applied to the tip of the bokken, indicating the path of damage inflicted.

“Do you see now Satoshi-kun? Your goal isn’t to just defend against the strike, but to defend while causing your enemy to suffer bodily harm at the same time. If this were a real cut, your arm would be severely crippled and you’d be bleeding to death. Now, attempt this same technique against a clone,” Setsuna says to her student while applying a layer of lipstick to his bokken as well.

With much anticipation Satoshi would take the bokken assigned to him by Setsuna-sama. It too is coated with a rather modest layer of the kunoichi's lipstick along the cutting edge of the wooden sword, more specifically the tip where most of the damage would be delivered. As directed, Satoshi would use this marking as a way of identifying the full extent of damage he would have inflicted when counterattacking his opponent. He would take it and hold it ahead of him while assuming the Chuuhan no Shisei stance.

Immediately after Satoshi takes his fighting stance, the Gyakusatsu master, Uchiha Setsuna, would attack her student with a right snapping roundhouse kick at Satoshi's abdomen. Satoshi sidesteps a mere inches and pulls the tip of his bokken down and turns the edge so it is facing into Setsuna's inner side of her knee. Instinctively the genin would pull his blade up, simulating a deep gash into the joint and ligaments. However, it isn't a single strike attack. Along with the roundhouse kick, Setsuna throws a left straight punch at Satoshi's head. In order to counteract this attack, Satoshi sidesteps back to his left and raises his bokken above his head and pivots to look at the side of Setsuna's inner arm where he would slash downwards at the shoulder.

Setsuna holds back her attacks and stands back into a casual position. Along the areas where Satoshi attacked are two lines of red lipstick.

"Very well Satoshi-kun. You timed that nearly perfect. Your only flaw was your pivot and second attack. You should complete both of those movments simultaneously so you don't waste any energy or leave yourself open. If I had my Sharingan active, or been of equivalent eyesight, I could have swept your feet out and disarmed you. However, I must say you're coming along very well."

"Thank you Setsuna-sensei. I have only one question. Instead of causing shallow cuts along the nerves and arteries, is it possible to completely sever the limbs with this technique?"

Setsuna takes several moments, considering the question in its entirety. She forms a kage bunshin and runs through the technique herself with a real katana. The bunshin attacks Setsuna with a jump spinning roundhouse kick and Setsuna counters in a similiar way that Satoshi had. The sword cuts clean through the leg just below the knee where the joint is the weakest before the clone dissipates.

"I suppose it is possible, but your blade must be extremely sharp and your skill sharper yet. It isn't so much as physical strength and speed, but rather timing and explosive strikes."

Satoshi nods, bowing to his sensei before taking his leave to tend to natural functions and get something to drink.

The technique is used to where they create a small ball of lightning to where the user is capable of hurling it towards the opponent. This technique is weak however and is only capable of paralyzing an opponent for approximately one round no matter how strong the opponent may be.

Fresh out of his latest lesson in Gyakusatsu training, the young Uchiha Satoshi wanders the streets of Kusagakure looking at several of his fellow shinobi doing the same. Some nod to him, others choose to ignore him, but neither really matter to Satoshi. His lust for power is too strong for him to worry much about acknowledgement or abandonment from his comrades. This mid-morning bout shall help him expand into his Raiton abilities as he has yet to learn a single technique since acquiring the ability to wield Raiton chakra. His jutsu of choice is a simple one he had recently heard about and conversed with several shinobi about.

The jutsu he is going to learn and add to his pool of knowledge is a simple, lower D-rank technique known as Raikyuu. Based on what Satoshi knows about the technique so far it is capable of stunning nearly anybody, regardless of how strong they are, for a short period of time. To the young Uchiha, that is a very tantilizing capability as it would give him ample time to slay his target with his sword. Of course, this technique is already formulated to be at its maximum potential as any attempt to extend its power would result in a deadly backlash and could harm the person casting the jutsu.

Satoshi takes his leave from the Kusa masses and ventures into a small section of forest that reaches into the village from beyond the gates. This area is rumored to be riddled with traps so that keeps the Uchiha at bay since he is unable to ascertain whether or not the rumors are true. He does however see what appears to be a young couple laying just on the other side of the rumored trap area. They had to have managed to get in from some other entrance. This is almost too good of an opprotunity to pass up.

Six chakra seals would be formed with swift, nimble fingers. Such actions greatly assist in molding the genin's chakra and incorporating the Raiton affinity with the raw chakra. Doing so refines the mixed combination of energies into taking on the appropriate properties by creating a baseball sized sphere of lightning within Satoshi's right hand. He can feel the energies electrify the air within his grasp, knowing already this technique truly is maxed out and cannot be taken further without the application of a whole new jutsu.

He would look at the couple laying in the grass, apparently oblivious to Satoshi's presence as it is natural for a shinobi to remain undetected and silent in movements. Even the Raikyuu makes no sound save for the small buzzing from the electrical arcs, but that can easily be mistaken for insects. The male of the couple would become his target and be the one who bears the brunt of the Raikyuu. Satoshi hurls the ball of electricity directly at the man, watching it kind of curve into the left from the right and strike the man in between the back of his shoulder blades, and the results are spectacular.

Upon impact the Raikyuu explodes with electrified fury, creating a kind of aura of lightning that totally envelops the man's upper torso. As is with the nature of electricity, the man's nervous system is overloaded and that sends his muscles into wild, uncontrollable spasms, seizures, and convulsions for several seconds before coming to a stop. During this time Satoshi makes careful mental notes of how he could easily obliterate the man in so many different ways, or if need be, escape. Turning to leave the couple to their wiles, Satoshi has only one thought:

"Who would have thought that such a low rank jutsu could be so deliciously evil?"

“This is interesting…” a young, adult Uchiha mutters to himself. This genin is sitting in the lotus position in the middle of dozens of jutsu scrolls pertaining to the Raiton no Jutsu. Upon all these scrolls are hundreds if not thousands of different jutsu compiled throughout the age-old history of Kusagakure and the rest of the shinobi world. One such technique had caught Satoshi’s attention, and that would be the Hirameki no Jutsu. Since Satoshi is a known killer, it is natural for him to acquire techniques that would assist in his completing or aborting an assassination. Such situations may also include retreat, restraint, or other forms of debilitation that gives Satoshi the advantage during combat.

The Hirameki no Jutsu is apparently capable of emitting an extremely bright light from one’s eyes with the completion and suspension of the ‘Rat’ chakra seal. According to the scroll, the light has a maximum range of ten meters and those who look into the light are blinded and disoriented for a short period of time. Already such capabilites can prove invaluable to a killer such as Satoshi. He can use this technique under the guise of stealth to surprise attack somebody and render them totally defenseless for him to move in with a killing stroke. He could also use this same technique should he need a quick escape to regroup or retreat entirely.

However, Satoshi cannot find any information pertaining to any harmful after-effects that could backlash upon the user with an active Doujutsu. Judging by the full effects of the jutsu itself, one can only assume that using a Doujutsu with the Hirameki no Jutsu is ill-advised. Rather than risk it, the genin will just use this technique under special circumstances.

Rising to his feet from his sitting position, Satoshi can hear the soft clicking of footballs coming his direction from the entrance of the archive room. They appear to be double-timed, which indicates a female possiblly wearing high heels. Most likely it is an office worker coming to see if Satoshi is finished researching jutsu. According to the scroll, he needs to form and hold a single seal while redirecting his chakra into his eyes.

Doing just that, the Uchiha’s expert hands slide into the ‘Rat’ chakra seal with his left hand’s index and middle fingers held upright, the ring and pinky fingers curled, and the thumb held back and horizontal. His right hand slides onto the upheld fingers with all four digits curling around the left index and middle fingers with the right thumb resting atop the left thumb. This single seal being held redirects the chakra energies into Satoshi’s eyes with the Raiton element incorporated into the formulae. Using just his hearing, he waits until the sounds of the footfalls cease before opening his eyes.

The moment his eyes open, the energies are released in a spectacular display of flashes and bursts. Immediately the aisles of shelves holding scrolls, books, parchment, and other forms of literature are covered and bathed in bright, blinding white light. While Satoshi himself has only less than normal vision through the flashes of light, he cannot help but notice that nobody is nearby. Apparently, the office clerk is elsewhere and nobody is there to be effected by the Hirameki no Jutsu.

“A failed application, but a successful attempt,” the office clerk would say to Satoshi through the wall of books on the man’s left. The woman smirks and turns around to file away documents and help keep things in order.

Description: Simple technique used by channeling chakra to mouth, lungs, ears and eyes. With chakra moved to mouth and lungs the user gathers air from the water and is able breath underwater, chakra guided to ears protects from the aching caused by pressure, lenses of chakra protecting eyes work like swim goggles.
Limit: Anyone can learn it, the techinque doesn’t even need a scroll, smart ninjas should be able to figure out the process on their own

Hours upon hours have passed since Satoshi had acquired and learned the Hirameki no Jutsu. In fact, so much time had passed that the archive clerk brought him sandwiches and water for dinner, announcing to him the building will be closing for the evening. That was perhaps two hours ago and after milling through dozens of scrolls for a jutsu or technique that could greatly benefit him, he has finally found one in the Suiton section. According to this scroll a technique exists that allows a person to breathe underwater for a predetermined amount of time depending on how strong that person is. That could prove very useful indeed.

Putting the scroll back where he had found it, the genin exits the library and returns to the village proper, seeking the recreation area where he knows a deep pond exists. He reaches that very same pond within minutes. Seeing nobody around brings a small piece of gratitude to the Uchiha as he would prefer that nobody be present when he begins learning this technique. He approaches the enbankment and begins stripping out of his clothes until all he is wearing is his undershorts. Even his sword is laid neatly with his clothing. Knowing nobody would disturb his raiment and weaponry, Satoshi slides into the cool water.

The murky, cloudy liquid is quite refreshing and soothing to the touch, but now is not a time for relaxation, but a time for expansion of one's power. Satoshi takes a large, very deep breath of air that fills his stomach and chest, then dives deep into the water. He slowly exhales his oxygen until he reaches a neutral bouyancy. That way he isn't preoccupied with having to constantly worry about his depth range. With his body suspended naturally in the water, Satoshi begins to recirculate the chakra flows within his body. In particular, his head around the eyes, ears, mouth, and nostrils.

Already the pressure deep in Satoshi's ear canals is easing up and becoming much more comfortable. Also, the pain in his chest is lessening as the internal pressures there too equalize. Now, he must coat the outer lenses of his eyes with chakra in order to protect them from the sting of the murky waters. It's relatively easily accomplished since he is an Uchiha and chakra circulation of the eyes is natural. Slowly, he opens his eyes to peer into the depths as if he were looking through air.

Now, time for the moment of truth. Time, to see if he really can breathe underwater. With a large pocket of chakra contained inside his mouth and pulled up through his respitory track, the genin takes an initial, test inhalation. And it works! He begins to breathe normally as if he were on the surface.

"I could get used to this. From such a position I could easily ambush somebody.." Satoshi would think to himself as he surfaces, taking the time to exhale slowly so the air in his blood doesn't expand and cause him to suffer the Bends. Breaking the surface, he would also break the chakra flows to return to normal, then exit the pond to don his clothing and go home for the night.

Description: By using the magnetic forces in the earth, a shinobi can use it to their advantage if they are lost. They lay a kunai on the ground, and channel a little chakra in it. The blade will then point towards the north, while the handle will point to south. This jutsu can be extremely useful when lost or if you don’t have a compass to use.

Unlike most afternoons where the residential Uchiha can usually be found immersed in village scrolls in the archives, in his home devising new techniques, at the dojo training in Gyakusatsu, or inside the village training something, Satoshi can be found just wandering in the grasslands this afternoon. His intent today is to test a technique he had recently read over while delving in the archive department. According to the scroll archives, it is possible to imbue a kunai with Raiton chakra to determine one's direction as if using a compass.

Based off the research, two chakra seals are to be formed to direct the Raiton energies efficiently enough into the kunai and give it a magnetic charge that homes in on the natural magnetic forces of nature. This is supposed to cause the tip of the kunai to point to the north and help a traveler, or lost shinobi, to find their way through should their compass become lost or broken. Of course, one should always know other ways to find direction rather than rely on tools.

Satoshi takes a single kunai out of his pouch and drops it on the ground carelessly so the flat of the blade lands on the ground. He looks at it and notices it is pointing to the south-southwest. This is good so now he can get a more accurate test out of this jutsu attempt. He already knows which way is North so this should go off without a hitch. Taking a knee behind the kunai, Satoshi begins performing the jutsu.

He would start by bringing his hands up and nimbly forming the two required chakra seals, that of Bird then Dragon. The formation of these two seals with the introduction to a chakra flow energizes the air around him. Focusing the chakra upon the kunai it slowly lifts into the air to just barely clear the ground due to the magnetic influence of Satoshi's chakra. It would then wobble back and forth from the right and left, rotate around in complete rotations, and finally coming to a stop at the exact direction of North.

"Child's play.." the genin would mutter before taking his kunai back and returning it to his pouch.
