Haikin is a very sarcastic young man, always ready with a wry comment and never afraid to speak it. Some have called him "witty", but he always dismisses them as people who are trying to sound smarter then they really are. As well as being sarcastic, he is very cynical and rarely trusts outward appearances or that people say their true purpose in something. However, unless if something involves him personally, he rarely feels the need to find those true purposes.Appearance:
He rarely openly involves himself in fights unless ordered to or one of his friends is in danger. Nor will he involve himself in conversations unless invited. He feels that if his opinion is necessary, then it will be asked for. And giving it to people who won't listen to it is just wasting time and energy. The only time he breaks this general rule is when he hears something he considers monumentally stupid or feels a sarcastic comment welling up and out of him.
He is compassionate to a degree, and wouldn't refuse his help to someone that was right in front of him, but doesn't go too far out of his way except for friends. At times when he is in a bad mood however, he doesn't think twice about ignoring people in need. He isn't cruel though, and doesn't kick people when they're down.
Although not the most flexible person at times, his mind can be changed quite suddenly and drastically. He believes that if you support something, you might as well support it 110 percent.People who have had him on their side have been flabbergasted as he does 180 degree flips to join the other group in arguments, or even in fights. However, he feels that his superiors have earned a certain amount of respect, and will follow their orders even if he would rather be on the other side.
Although he has many friends who come and go, he has very few true friends, as few can deal with his sudden changes and occasionally rude sarcastic comments. But those friends who have supported him, and proved their trust in him, he backs them up in whatever endeavor they need his help in.
Haikin has untidy black hair that goes almost to his shoulders. He wears a bright red headband to keep his hair out of his eyes, and it has the symbol of Grass on the front flanked on both sides by Yin and Yang symbols. He has a long face without any scars or distinguishing features of any kind. His face is neither ugly nor handsome, and it's only distinguishing feature is his ruby red eyes, different from both his mother's green and his father's brown.Bloodlimit: N/A
His clothing is loose enough that it allows full freedom of movement, but it is tied at the wrists and ankles so that nothing flutters. He wears clothing that covers him from his ankles to his neck. It is camouflaged for the land of Grass, greens and yellows and browns. When he lay still in the grass, he is almost invisible. He wears the traditional sandals. He has a brown baldric slung on his back that he can slide his Bo staff into when its not in his hands.
As a Taijutsu master, Haikin's movements are swift and sure, his stride quick and powerful. He is heavily muscled and lean, with very little excess body fat. Having been an active and outdoors sort of child, his skin is heavily tanned to a deep brown. He has long fingers, and wears no rings or bracelet. Neither does he wear gloves.

BelowHistory:
Until the age of ten, Haikin had never even wanted to be a ninja. In fact, he hadn't thought of his future at all. He was content with his life as it was, playing outside all day, his parents rarely setting down rules because he almost never did anything bad. One day when he was out playing, that changed.
He had wandered out of the confines of the village by himself, just walking and soaking in the quiet. Suddenly he found himself flat on his back, and the world was spinning around him. He say many pairs of eyes swimming in front of him, and many cowled mouths spoke: "A kid. Must be from Grass." And then another voice, somewhere Haikin couldn't see. "See, I told you. All we had to do was wait. And now we have one that can lead us to their village." An excited murmering among them.
The boy's head stopped swimming, and his eyes were refocusing as he was hauled to his feet. He looked around, and saw three others besides the one who had been over him. They all had headbands on, with the marks Haikin couldn't identify. The ninja closest to him pulled out a kunai and poked the boy in the throat with it. "Take us to your village," He said. Haikin felt blood welling up at the point where he had been poked, and a deep, unreasoning fear came up in him. He turned and tried to run, but tripped before he got even two feet away. Behind him the ninjas laughed.
The boy cowered and tried to hide his face in the dirt. "None of that now," one said as the first advanced, holding his kunai outstretched towards the boy. But before he reached him, there was a whirring sound followed by two thwacks. The child raised his head cautiously, and found himself looking at a pair of boots in front of him. Suddenly a brown staff joined the two boots.
Haikin followed the staff up, up, till he was looking at a grim face that was looking back down at him. "Taking a boy hostage," the man said, as he looked back at the ninjas. "For shame." Again his staff whirled as he leaped into action. The boy turned his head to watch and saw the ninja with the kunai had already been knocked out, and his kunai was some distance away.
Soon only the grim faced man was standing. Haikin climbed to his feet and approached the man in awe. "Thank you sir... but who are you?" He managed to get out. The man looked down at him, and then said "Pah, don't they teach you kids anything anymore? I'm Chiyo Muchi, the grandson of Gua. Now get out of here and back to the village!" This last startled the child into action. He turned and ran, and didn't stop running until he got home.
When he arrived, he told his parents about the experience, and they forbid him to go outside the village again before sweeping him up into a grand hug. But inside, Haikin was making a silent vow to himself. He never wanted to feel afraid again. He wanted to become as great as the man that had saved him, and earn the man's respect. To that end, he has since joined the academy and dedicated himself to the bo.
