Finding the Entrance Part 1: Aozora]

Description: Aozora, or Sky Palace, is founded in the Land of Waves. As it became more notable over the years across the nations, the need for its recognition became more important. The Lady of North Aozora has requested through a letter that one or a team of Leaf’s shinobi please enter the village as she is in need of assistance.
How to complete: All shinobi going on this mission must first travel to Nami no Kuni and with the specified number of posts, find the entrance to the village. Once the entrance is found, one must then talk to the gatekeeper, present the letter given to them by the Lady of the Village and then go to the Sky Palace to meet the lady herself.
Reward: 1500 Ryo

Oricha struggled forward as his legs screamed for rest. He had been running like this for the rest of the day. Things would have gone smoother, however, he was carrying two people. The girl on his left shoulder and a boy on his right. Not to mention having to carry the puppet the boy was fiddling around with as well... If he had been forced to carry another person, he probably wouldn't have made it that day. The red-head looked at a giant building in the distance. However, it was camoflauged as a bunch of tree tops. The only thing that gave it away was the smoke coming from one of the buildings. Oricha saw the distance and couldn't help but utter a cry of dismay. After all that walking, he had to walk that much more? using the last of his strength, he put the two shinobi down on the ground. The boy frowned as he looked up at the tree covered sky. They weren't very well protected from the elements, and it looked like it might rain. tron between leaving them unprotected and finding food, shelter, and other necessaties to last out the night, Oricha stood, taking off the brown cape he was wearing. He usually didn't wear it, however, on his first mission, he made an exception. With that, he found two stones. using one, he sharpened the other, turning it into something of a kunai. Using that, he was able to roughly cut the cape in two. Putting the cape over the two shinobi, he positioned them under a tree.

Now, if only there was something I could use to set up a tent... or perhaps find a cave... The latter seemed more appropriate, however, there didn't seem to be many ledges in supply where caves were most commonly found. instead, they were surrounded by trees. Some of them were huge! It was amazing how big some of them were! Then, Oricha saw it. A tree whose roots were growing over forming a rough cover. The boy ran over, examining the home.

"Perfect!" Oricha smiled running back to the two ninja and carrying them over to the spot. The boy took off his shirt and undershirt and rolled them up underneith the two shinobi's heads, making sure that even with the comfort, their feet were above giving the brain more oxygen. Oricha sighed and moved to the earthen wall of the makeshift room. All he could do now was wait for their conditions to change. If they didn't by time the sun started setting, he'd have to go get water and tend to them. By time the sun rose, he'd have to get them to the village to be examined by medical professionals.

"What have I gotten into?" Oricha asked himself as he leaned back, his eyes closing, swirling into clouds. He would appear asleep, however, was using his Kakke Genkai to observe the area around them. He'd only be able to do this for about half an hour before he got tired, however, after an hour rest, he'd be able to resume it again.

Resu's eyes moved behind their closed lids, looking around but seeing only darkness. Then......

Resu's eyelids fluttered open. He looked up but didn't move. He closed his eyes again and tried to remember what had happened. They had been walking along (Himself and Kieri). And then they had fallen into a pit then nothing. What had happened, he squeezed his eyes tighter and thought back.... There had been a yell, it had distracted him, he had turned his head and then they had fallen into the pit. Who was it that had yelled, and what did they say? He thougt harder. It was some kind of warning. Yes that was it.

Feeling slightly caught up Resu placed his arms down on the ground and prepared to get up. His movement was met with a stab of pain in his left side. He fell back onto one arms support, wincing. What he landed on was soft, when he looked it was Kieri's stomach. He quickly moved his elbow off her. He looked around at where he was. It appeared to be a cave, no it was a tree. They were under a tree! How did they get here?!?

He looked beyond Kieri. There was another person there. "Who are you?" he asked looking at the back of the guy's head incase he turned around. it was covered with brown red hair. "Who are you?" he called a bit louder. He sat a bit further up. His movement was met by another pang of pain. He turned towards the man and crossed his legs. This movement was met with the greatest pain thus far. He crumpled and let out a cry of pain. Bent double clutching his sides. He looked back up at the unknown man.

Kieri felt the cold ground beneith her before she realized that she was awake. She stirred and opened her eyes, then she remembered. "The pitfall!" She bolted upright supporting herself with her arms, locked at the elbows, and her head swiveled around trying to get her barrings. The first thing she saw was a canapy of leaves abover head and a tree trunk right infront of her. She looked side to side and on one side saw a strange man, wearing a cape. She turned to the other and saw..... Resu!

He was on his knees holding his ribs. She assumed the worst. There had been a fight, and Resu had lost! She jumped to her feet and grabbed a kunai from her tool pouch. "Who are you!" She practically yelled at the man. When he didn't respond, she bagan to think. If there was a fight, why didn't I get attacked? And then again how did we get here anyway? What about the pitfall? She decided to forgo the stranger. She stowed her kunai and turned her attention to Resu. She dropped to her knees beside him. She couldn't do anything. Everytime she came closer to him, he would jerk away. She turned her head back to the stranger and changed her aproach "Who are you?" she asked in an inquisitive quiet voice.

[Yay! the dead live again! ^^ I was starting to worry I'd have to carry you two back to the village as well XD]

Oricha saw movment from the two that lay on the soil floor. He opened his eyes revealing his natural brown eyes, his Kakke Genkai supressed. They didn't have to know... yet...

"lay back down... you aren't in any condition to be moving yet." Oricha calmly said to the boy who was attempting to get up. "The fall wasn't that bad, but the girl landing on you didn't help." The girl started moving as well, her hand pulled out a kunai, however, Oricha wasn't that surprised at her reaction... however... you think they'd see his headband on his forehead... Oricha sighed. That's right... they weren't very observent...

"WHO ARE YOU?!?" she practically yelled at Oricha. The seventeen year old didn't answer as he looked the girl in the eyes. She was forceful, that was for certain... not exactly the friendliest either... She seemed to ignore him shortly afterward. That was fine with Oricha, however, it was what she was going to do that would be the problem.

"I'd stop trying to touch him if I were you..." Oricha said to the girl as she tried to get closer to the injured boy. "It looks like he broke your fall, however, your landing on him caused a couple broken ribs."

"Who are you?" The girl asked again, repeating the boy's question. Oricha sighed.

"I'm Sansutomu, Oricha of the Hidden Leaf Village. We graduated around the same time only in different classes. However, I would have thought that looking at headbands would be the first thing any ninja did to discern friend from foe." Oricha said, pointing to the Leaf Village's Insignia on his headband. "And now, the question goes out to you two."

Kieri had woken up and was now near him. Resu jerked away, she would probably make it worse. He looked up again, this time at the stranger. Who could this guy be, he finally turned around, Resu saw a leaf headband and relaxed. He would have lain down but now that he was up it was easier to stay so. The stranger seemed to be talking with Kieri, Resu listned in but through his stabbs of pain he heard only half of it. "I'm Sansutomu, Oricha...... at headbands would be the first thing any ninja did...... And now, the question goes out to you two."

Resu leaned back against the tree trunck and closed his eyes. "My name's Resu, Resu Kyoufu." in a quiet voice. After a moments pause. "And were you just passing by or are you the help that the hokage has sent for us?"Suddenly something dawned on him He gropped at his belt. It wasn't there! He had summoned him to show Kieri! He stared straight at the stranger and said "My puppet have you seen it!? It's big and shaped like a lion only with four arms.... It's light yello" he stopped his speach had caused another dose of pain.

"I'm Sansutomu, Oricha." Well at least he was from the leaf village. "I'm Resu, Resu Kyoufu" came a voice from behind her. Well if Resu trusted him. "My name is Kieri Shota. I apoligize for my behavior I didn't notice your headband." Resu began to talk again, she stopped listenning and looked around they were in a forest. Suddenly Resu freaked out he was shouting about his puppet. She caught the last part of what he said, "It's big and shaped like a lion only with four arms.... It's light yello" he stopped mid word and doubled over again.

She turned to Oricha, "Have you seen his puppet? Did you bring it with us?" She waited trying to read his face and reactions to what she said. She got nothing he remained still as stone.

OOC: Now I know this is short but it was a hard spot to write in, so if you guys want to make up for this with a long counter post be my guest.

"My name's Resu. Resu Kyoufu." The boy said. Oricha was a little surprised. How different these two were indeed. The boy had come out and just said his name while the girl seemed reluctent to follow suit. It's always good to be cautious, however... Was he really that suspicious looking?

"My name is Kieri Shota. I apoligize for my behavior I didn't notice your headband." Oricha nodded, showing it was alright. Caution was a good thing... however, now was probably less the time for it than when they were walking in the forest.

Resu, leaning up against the tree now, paused for a moment and looked back up at Oricha. "Were you just passing by or are you the help that the Hokage has sent for us?" Oricha opened his mouth to respond, but the boy suddenly reached for his belt from out of the blue. His eyes widened in worry as he looked at Oricha. "My puppet! Have you seen it?! It's big and shaped like a lion only with four arms.... It's light yellow..." The boy gripped his chest. The seventeen year old frowned, this wasn't good at all... already Oricha was planning their next move.

Perhaps it would be too much for the boy to travel in his condition... however, either way you look at it, he'd have to travel at one point or another. The closest village is Aozora, the Sky Palace... Oricha stared off into space for a moment.

"Have you seen his puppet? Did you bring it with us?" The girl asked impatiently, reminding him the question that was just asked. Oricha looked between his temporary partners.

"Yes, it's just outside the tree, there isn't enough room in here to move easily if we had a puppet like that in here as well." Oricha said. "And, to answer why I was around... yes, I was sent by the Hokage to help you two during this mission..."

But how could the Kage have foreseen something like this? Oricha wondered to himself as he got up. He reached over and picked the undershirt he had made into a makeshift pillow. The girl wasn't using it anymore. The Sansutomu shook it out once or twice before putting it back on.

"I know this might be asking a bit much... but Kieri, could you support Resu? He's too injured to walk on his own by the looks of it." foresensing confusion Oricha explained.

"I have located Aozora, the Sky Palace. It's still a long way off, but it should be more walkable than the trek back to the Hidden Leaf Village. Our goal is to get there before sun-down. Judging by the sun's location, I'd say we still have a couple hours, so that shouldn't be a problem." While he was talking, he was picking up the shreds of his cape and donning his over shirt, preparing to move out once again. Oricha walked to the exit of the makeshift tent. "Once we get there, I'll help the lady with whatever it is she needed assistance with... I don't think Resu's in any shape to participate if it requires physical activity... and Kiere... you can either assist with me or tend to Resu, it's your decision." He turned around to look at Resu and Kieri.

"Also, I must warn you that The Lady of the North is a master ninja... I forget which style of fighting she masters in, but this is only to say that when we see her, you must be on your best behaviour... Any questions?" Oricha was ready to go, all he needed was for Resu and Kieri to follow. It was a simple formation. He would lead at point due to his Kakke Genkai, Keiri would support Resu behind. All was set... it was getting there that would be the real test.

Resu listened intently to Oricha's story and finally it came to the part that really interested him the most..... "I know this might be asking a bit much... but Kieri, could you support Resu? He's too injured to walk on his own by the looks of it." foresensing confusion Oricha explained.

Finally Resu injected his thoughts "Just one thing, more of a suggestion, I can move my arms well enough. If you give me my puppet I could use him to carry myself." he was amused with himself for thinking of this plan, he thought that it was sure to get shot down due to the obvious faults in it. "Now if Kieri is willing to go behind me then, incase something happens she could... um... assist me." he turned a hopefull face towards Kieri, he did not like relying upon others for the most basic things. "If you think otherwise on this plan then I will, of course, subject myself to yours." He turned his head between his two companions waiting for their response. Deciding to show them He sent out his chakra strings and pulled Saska towards him (Saska is the puppet). He forced the arms down and picked him up. In the blade-ridden arms he looked into their faces then lightened the mood by saying "Tah-Dah!"

Kieri thought that this was a resonable idea. Honestly she would prefer to help the lady of the tower rather than take care of Resu. She looked in the direction where Oricha was pointing, it didn't look too far she should be able to help Resu that far, the problem would be keeping him still enough so he wouldn't feel too much pain. But then Resu spoke up, "If you give me my puppet I could use him to carry myself. Now if Kieri is willing to go behind me then, incase something happens she could... um... assist me." At this suggestion she did have a few quarrels. She looked into his face she took a double take. Upon his determination she swallowed her questions. "If you want to go with this plan, I will oblige." She turned her attention to Oricha as she spoke. "If Oricha doesn't have any problems with it, of course."

The two stared at each other for a while then something broke her gaze. Resu was in the puppets arms and he stuck out his arms smiling... Tah-Dah!

Oricha smiled a little at the boy's attempt to be funny. They weren't so bad after all... just took a little bit of getting to know them.

"alright... just make sure you don't cut yourself to ribbons on it... it'd be hard for me and Kieri to clean up." Oricha left the tree. If the boy had enough chakra to make it there, it wouldn't be a problem, however, Kieri would be nearby to help support him just in case. Oricha closed his eyes and activated his Fuukamanako. Hidden from the world, he was able to see everything without anything seeing him. Well... his eyes more or less. He turned with his closed eyes, looking for enemies. All he could see were trees, animals, and the two still in the tree. Opening his brown eyes again, he ducked his head into the tree.

"Well? let's get a move on before the sun sets on us. If it does, we'll have more to worry about than bandits..." Like wolves... His mind drifted to the native prediter of these lands... It was unlikely that they would meet up with one of them... however, there was always the chance that after dark, they would be targets.

Oricha would be there to help the other two get out of the tree and would start to lead them towards the Sky Village.

Resu thought that his ears weren't working properly.... Had they just agreed to his plan? Yes, thank you I don't have to rely on anyone, except you Saska. His thoughts were interupted by Oricha's words "Well? let's get a move on before the sun sets on us. If it does, we'll have more to worry about than bandits..." "Alright then let's go!" the three of them walked out from under the tree, Oricha first then Saska carrying Resu and finally Kieri. The party of three walked for a while down the lightly marked path. This path was just dirt on the ground in a straight line. They walked on through the forest, Resu looked skyward the sun was peeking through leaves. There was a slight breeze it ruffled his hair. Saska slightly clinked and cracked as he walked, it was a familiar sound it comforted him. He wished he could help the lady once they arrived in the wave country, he wouldn't feel like he finished the mission unless he did. Although it would be better for the mission if he didn't. Suddenly Saska took a hard step and jarred his ribs, his side throbbed with pain. He breathed deeply to steady himself. A bird flew by his head and landed on Saska, he looked up at the bird.

They walked uneventfully for a little while longer.

Kieri couldn't see Oricha from her position behind Resu, she decided to just watch the animals in the forest. A little squirrel ran across the ground, it was brown and white. Then of the path there was a deer it had massive antlers and looked at them as they passed, then it stared straight into her eyes. After that she didn't see another animal.She began to get bored just looking around. She was thinking of how she and Resu had been trapped in the pit. They had been so careless, if Oricha hadn't been walking along then they would have been captured by the bandits. She couldn't let herself be caught off guard like that anymore. She couldn't let other people save her, she needed to keep herself out of trouble and maybe even save others.

She returned to the forest, and began looking around as if she could see traps, then suddenly she realized that Oricha would not be leading unless he could find traps. He must have some sort of Keikei Genkai. Well she should just relax, she fell back to listening and watching the moving forest.

[alright, you can bunny me however you choose, just get us to the Palace and perhaps say what needs help with! I'd rather not choose or it might be something lame. ^^]

Oricha took the lead. He didn't even need his Kakke Genkai for this part of the mission. Traps weren't what worried him but rather getting there before the sun set. He needed to see everything in full view so as to tell which direction he was going. More than once, he noticed animals hanging around. And, more than once he heard Resu's breaths of pain. After walking for a long time, they reached their destination. A big wooden wall disguised as trees stood before them. If one hadn't come closer, it would have looked as though the trees were meant to be there. Oricha approached the gate to the village and stood in front of it, waiting. The other two would wait on either side of him, Resu still on his puppet and Kieri at his other side.

A ninja appeared in front of Oricha, having shunshined down.

"Who are you? State your business." The ninja was much older, probably in his late thirties.

"I am Sansutomu, Oricha of the Hidden Leaf Village. Me and my comrades are here under orders of the Hokage to help the Lady of the Sky with something." Oricha nodded for Keiri to present the scroll that signified their authenticity.

"I see..." the man bemused as he read over the handwriting. "Then you must be the ones. Please, come in."

[I'd like to point out that nowhere in the mission outline does it say anything about acctually helping the lady of the tower, only meeting her. Make of that what you will.]

Kieri Walked up alongside Oricha and Resu (still on his puppet). They were standing infront of a big wooden wall disguised as trees stood before them. The gate to the village and stood in front of it. If you didn't come close, it would apear as though the trees were meant to be there. There was a man standing at the doors to the village. Oricha introduced them, as his companions, and then signalled her to hand the guard the note. She obliged. The man chuckled and admitted them. The trio of ninja walked into the village and were directed by tyhe lumbering guard towards a path leading to a large building "The Sky Palace" Kieri breathed.

Saska carried Resu through the streets. He attracted a lot of looks from passers by. The tree now walked abreast. Along the sides of the street were little stalls, with various foods: nuts, fish, fruit and spices. A woman walked into their path, "Would you care to buy some," gesturing to her herbs "I have thyme, sage, merrigold, basil and clover.... " Resu looked over the stall, "No thank you!" he said smiling at the woman.

Finally they arrived at the sky palace. Saska reached out his arm and grabbed the knocker. THUD! THUD! THUD! A wizzened old butler came to the door. "Ah! You must be the Konoha ninja. Come, we've been expecting you." he bowed them through the doors. Inside was rather dark compared to the whiteness of the outside. The large windows were covered with dark maroon drapes. There was a large marble staircase straight ahead of them. "Follow me please." said the butler leading them up the staircase. the second floor was the same as the fist except for a patterned rug on the floor, and there were doors leading off into other rooms. Once on the second floor the butler led them towards an old fashioned elevator. He slid the gate open and walked them inside. The elevator took them up to the top floor. They stepped out. The top floor was completely different then the others they had seen. It was white marble and the windows were dressed with light blue drapes. There were busts of many people who he didn't know. And sitting in the middle of the room infront of the only open window.... sitting on a large couch was the Lady of the Sky Palace. Resu thought that she looked pretty young, not quite his age, but still not old. She wore a large ceremonial kimono of dark purple witha red sash. She had black hair tied in a tight bun. She looked to have a friendly face. But keeping in mind Oricha's warning, Resu dropped down out of Saska's arms and bowed saying "My lady."

[shikamaru-girl brings up an interesting point about the mission instructions, so Oricha I'm leaving it up to you to decide if we help the lady or just stop it after meeting her.... I know you didn't want to but please can you do it]

Well... let's just say what they were meant to help with got all figured out then! It'd still follow the mission specs to the dot. However, I already sent a bird back to the Hokage's Tower describing how Resu was injured and we'd be there for a couple days anyway. Would you two rather RP out 2 days or head back? edit answers into previous posts plz! ^^

[Ok I'm just gonna add a new post rather than edit the old one. Anyway I'd rather just go back. Besides I saw your letter to the Hokage, he said that he didn't think that it was allowed. For you to send a message back. So let's just go back.]

Resu was waiting for, the other two to return from helping the lady. He has been unable to due to his ribs. He had recieved mediocer treatment. Not medical ninjutsu, but he was taped up and bandaged. He was sitting on a couch inside the front hall of the sky palace. Once they returned the three would head back to Konoha. He had unsummined his puppet because he was now able to walk. He wasn't actually sure what Oricha end Kieri had gone off to do.

Resu got up and began to walk towards the door. he reached for the knob but it swung open before he could. In walked Kieri and Oricha. "So are you guys ready to go back or do you want to rest right after you've done... whatever it is you did." He was becoming a bit stir crazy, and wanted to get back to the village so he could heal his ribs and train some more. But a day of relaxation couldn't be too bad so he was willing to stay if the others where fatigued.

Oricha sighed as he heard the injured shinobi. What a lucky ninja... he was exhausted after trying to struggle his way out of the Lady's 'photo shoot'... Oricha wasn't photogenic. Not in the least... and being a model for inter-country relations for the Lady's brochure wasn't exactly what a 'mission' was supposed to look like in the boy's opinion...

"I'm ready to leave... today has been embarrassing enough..." The older ninja replied and stood at the door, ready to depart for the Hidden Leaf Village. Of all things to need help with... why was it a photo shoot? The ninja wondered to himself as he sulked near the doorway.

Boy that was so fun! Kieri thought as she and Oricha walked back to the Sky palace where their comerade was waiting. The two had been helping the lady of Sky Palace, on a mission. This mission had been a photo shoot. They had been made to pose with the laddy and a select few people. She had thouroly enjoyed herself. She had been given a choice of clothing to wear. She had picked a pink mid drift t-shirt and short- shorts. They had sone so many pictures. On the other hand Oricha didn't seem to have enjoyed himself, then again, he was a boy and he probably had been looking forward to something more physically intensive. They reached the Sky Palace, and entered to meet Resu.

He was standing near the door, which surprised her since he had been laboring to just make it here. "So do you want to leeave now?" was what he said. and Oricha who seemed to still be in a bad mood agreed. "Well, sure let's go." So they made their way back through the village to the gates. Once they were back in the forest she felt as if the mission were all over. They were on their way back to monotony and boring.
