The tea shop that Kakan was to work at was no different than most restaurants. The bar, where he'd mainly be serving tea, was large enough to seat at least fifteen people, and the rest of the place was decorated in flowers, as well as pictures of the owner and their family throughout the years.
Kakan was standing behind the main bar, speaking with a woman about 5' 3" tall, silver gray hair pulled back into a bun. "I'm going to be in the back, counting inventory and keeping the tea at the ready for you. All you have to do is serve it and make sure that everyone is happy." She spoke, a smile on her face. "You'll do fine, young man... But, could you take the robe off? It looks kind of strange to wear one of those in-doors."
"I'm sorry, ma'am, but this is the clothing choice of my family. It would be a disgrace to remove it." Kakan said, hoping that excuse would be alright.
"That's fine, just take care of the customers. And, thank you for coming on such short notice..." She said, laboring around the corner to make a count on all of her inventory, as well as prepping a few kettles of tea to heat up.
As she left, a couple walked into the tea shop, walking hand in hand, only releasing each other's hand to sit down. "An Oolong and a Dragon, please." The man spoke, Kakan nodding and grabbing two decorative cups and filling one with Oolong, the other with Dragon tea. Each tea had its own color and aroma, these two being very bitter smelling when they mixed together in the air.
Placing the two drinks in front of them, Kakan took their money and put the ryo in a small box, giving the couple a smile. "If you need anything else, just let me know." They nodded to him and began to talk amongst themselves, Kakan noticing another person coming in behind them. This was going to be an interesting afternoon...
