"Oto Shouheki" (sound Barrier)
Rank: D-C ranks
Skill: Ninjutsu
Effect: Sound waves change projectile trajectory. Defensive only
Special: Holds Ox
Drawback: Sound waves only change the flight path of incoming weaponry. This doesn't stop other ninjutsu, such as a fire ball
Description: While holding the ox hand seal, the user emits a very low pitched sound. The sound waves are large and effect air pressure. Incoming projectiles bend away and are steered off course, effectively missing there target.. The large sound waves only travel a short distance (D-rank= 6 feet, C-rank= 16 feet)
Limit:Must have sound release.

Following the days after Kuro and Zaan had practiced the sound jutsu in the training complex, Kuro did little other than sit in his room, pondering various ways he could use sound to his advantage. Remembering his sensei had spoke of sound waves so strong and amplified they actually managed to divert projectiles, he thought back to what his master had said.
[Flashback]
Kuro sat across the table from Zaan who was busy eating a plate of fried rice. Earlier, Zaan had spoken of the use of sound defensively, and Kuro had begun to wonder just what type of defense sound could really offer. Finally become annoyed as he thought of nothing, he looked to Zaan asking “so, what did you mean when you said sound could be an effective defense? I understand how sonar could be effective at finding those around you, but using sound so powerful it actually can deflect blows? I don’t understand.”
Smiling through his food, Zaan looked at Kuro and said “Well for example projectiles can be pushed aside. Not jutsu themselves but kunai or things of that like.” Taking a large swallow he challenged Kuro “Take up your chop stick and throw it at me as I stand up.” Zaan then stood in front of Kuro and created and held the “ox” seal. As he looked at Kuro he nodded.
Grabbing up his utensil he drew back and whipped it at Zaan, who stood still. Just before it struck Zaan a wave of invisible power seemed to jet outward, striking the chop stick, which twirled about before falling to the table. “You see?” he asked, looking down at Kuro. “For this technique you amplify a low pitched sound you let loose, and the vibrations in the air actually become enough to stop if not turn away projectiles! I will teach you more at another time, but ponder this as you practice your techniques.”
[End Flashback]
Remembering well what his sensei had said, Kuro stood and brought his hands together in the “ox” seal. As he drew up his chakra, he turned to his left and picked up a small stone from the table center piece. Tossing up the stone, he quickly reformed the seal, looking up to the stone falling towards his face. Letting loose a low whistle he empowered the vibrations, sending them outward. As he witnessed the sounds power grow, it came into contact with the falling stone, causing it to lurch to the left, falling to Kuro’s feet.
Smiling now, Kuro bent down and picked up the stray stone.
