Heading down the road, Kuro was hoping to get his next mission done tonight if possible. Just a few blocks away, he approached “Kuja’s Emporium of Exotics”, a small shop in the center of town. Though the shop was small, it was the center for food, clothing, and medicine distribution, as well as a variety of other… goods.
Reaching the shop, Kuro entered the building. Inside an eccentric looking man greeted him. “Welcome to the Emporium!” he sang, looking Kuro in the eye, he paused for a moment. “You’re not here to shop are you?”
Shaking his head, Kuro pulled the paper from his vest, showing to the man. “FINALLY” he cried “I’ve been waiting for weeks! I wasn’t expecting you, but since it is nearing night we might as well go through the plan I had come up with weeks ago.” Pointing to a cabinet over along the wall he smiled “THAT is where you will hide… until the man comes out and then you spring forward and DESTROY that wretched thief!”
Eyes wide and staring at the cabinet, Kuro turned to the man “What if he doesn’t show?”
“Oh he will” he said, his eyes now slits. “He always comes and no one EVER catches him!”
Sighing aloud Kuro headed to the cabinet, climbing inside allowing the clothing inside to drape over him. A tiny slot was in the front of the cabinet, allowing one of his eyes to see the room outside. Peeking out he peered around. Surprisingly, he could see quite well, not only clearly but he could see the whole shop, even slightly into the back room. Suddenly darting from the back, the Kuja approached the cabinet, something small and glinting in his hand.
Opening the door he presented Kuro with a strange set of expensive looking goggles.
“These are great for the night watch, and hopefully if you’ve got the skill they will give you an edge over that thief! They have night vision, a camera, a video recorder, and even thermal vision. You can even zoom in and out. Inside is a large data storage disk, so if you gather information for the ANBU feel free to give it to them!”
After an elaborate description of the goggles, Kuro put them upon his face and looked about. Peering through at the old man he looked him in the face. “Feel free to use them while you’re on duty, but I want them after you catch that thief! Also if you damage them you buy them… they really aren’t so expensive, just 10k Ryo! So if you like them I expect you to buy them from me when you get a pair!”
Before Kuro could respond the old man slammed the door in his face, turning around as he headed out of the store, locking the door behind him. Kuro kept a keen eye about the shop, turning on the night vision as things became dark. The night passed on, little happening besides a few random footsteps which could be heard outside the door.
Suddenly movement caught Kuro’s eye. Slowly at first, one of the floor tiles was beginning to rise up, being pushed up and finally aside, clattering on the floor. Out of the black hole left in its place climbed a thin figure, clad in a black suit with a huge pouch resting behind him. Slowly the figure turned about, checking the room for anything out of the ordinary. “He must have excellent night vision” thought Kuro as he peeked through the slot.
Finally seeming satisfied the figured stalked into the back room, traveling back and forth packing the huge pack full. Finally done in the back, the figure began to head back to hole when he noticed the cabinet, the last spot left untouched by his sleigh hands. Walking up swiftly, the man grabbed onto the handle, giving it a tug, only to reveal Kuro, covered by the clothing within. Weapon already drawn, he was ready for the man, and he swiftly pointed it at the thief’s throat saying “Make one move and your dead. Talk any louder than the softest whisper and I will rend your throat so deep the only thing keep your head attached will be the skin on the back of your neck. Understand?” The figured nodded. “Remove the mask” said Kuro. Raising his hand slowly, he tugged at the mask, revealing… A GIRL? “So, the notorious thief is a girl eh? What are you doing with the goods you’ve been taking?”
A sad look spread over the woman’s face as she spoke. “I have been taking things, just clothing, medicine, and food to give to the shelters for the refugees in the area. For example…” she said slowly reaching into the bag. With sudden cat like swiftness the woman pulled a tiny capsule from the bag and threw it, only to have it blocked by Kuro’s weapon. The tiny capsule then exploded as it hit the ground, releasing a thick gas into the air as the woman turned and dove for the hole in the floor.
Kuro, who remember his training had held his breath as soon as the capsule exploded, found himself blinded by the thick fog. Reaching up, he flicked the switch on the goggles, turning on his thermal vision. Already, along the floor he could see the footprints, leading down into the hole. Pushing the clothing off of him, Kuro jumped down the hole after the thief.
Dim orange footprints lead the way for Kuro as he wound around through the tunnels, most likely put in place to link together the sewage pipes below the city from what he could tell. For several hours he ran, most likely just a few hundred yards behind the fleeing thief. Finally up ahead Kuro could see light, and reaching up he flicked off the thermal vision and returned his vision to normal. Approaching with stealth, Kuro finally came to the edge of the light, a room with boxes spread all around the edges. Inside Kuro could make out the woman, speaking to several men as they shifted around the crates. Reaching up and flipping the switch, Kuro turned on the goggles internal camera.
“… what a moron that guard was! “I’m just stwealing to hwelp to pwoor pwoor refugees!” You should have seen his face when I pulled out a smoke bomb from my bag!” Smiling now she sat upon a nearby crate. “Stack those crates fast you morons, I’d like to get to sleep at a decent hour for once!”
“So anyways Tooza what makes you think he didn’t follow you?” said the man closest to her.
“No stupid bumbling guard can follow me with my speed! Besides, you could tell he was a real moron, you should have seen his geeky goggles!” Roaring with laughter, she picked up a small apple from one of the crates. “Honestly I think at this rate that two bit shop will be out of business in a few weeks, and we can move in and initialize our plan! With the amazing deals we will offer the people, everyone will flock to our new shop, buying all of our stolen goods! Then, when we finish putting everyone out of business, we will jack up the food prices and it will be either our high prices or you starve! We can even hire bandits to kill off any farms that compete with us!” Leaning back the woman picked up a short sword from nearby. “If we are done, meet here tomorrow for another raid.”
Realizing this was his opportunity, Kuro drew two Kunai from his pouch. Setting his naginata upon the ground in front of him, he backed up slightly into the darkness and let both the kunai fly, striking both of the turned workers at the base of their skulls. With lightning speed he jumped forward, grabbing his naginata, jumping out from the crates as she turned and striking at the woman. Surprisingly quick, the woman parried the strike, drawing her blade so fast it looked like a blur to Kuro. Jumping backward, she drew several shuriken, hurling them at Kuro. Far from reacting slowly, Kuro had already swapped places with one of the crates.
The crate fell to the ground, riddled with shuriken. Growling under her breath “I should have know you would be some two bit ninja, hired by that worthless old man!” Drawing another tiny black capsule, the woman threw it as she turned to flee yet again. Using a simple Ninjutsu, Kuro practically teleported in front of her, weapon at the ready.
Striking forward with amazing speed, he cut into the woman, immobilizing her.
Jumping back again he looked at the woman who was staggering as she tipped over and fell to the ground. “I WILL KILL YOU” she roared, reaching to her side for the same pouch she had previously drawn the shuriken from. Not wanting to risk any more fighting with the treacherous woman, Kuro made a quick set of hand seals, formulating and attack in his mind. All around him the water from the walls and puddles on the floor began to rise up, quickly coming together to form tiny balls. “Mahou Mizu Misairu Renda no Jutsu” he cried as the water flew forward, striking the woman in the chest.
Five of the balls struck the woman, sending her flying backwards where she collided with the crates. Rolling over she appeared to be either dead or incapacitated.
Approaching the no longer moving woman he glanced down. Still breathing, blood was slowly leaking out from the six leg wounds, as well as a small stream leaking from her mouth. Walking past her he approached the two workers, pulling his kunai from the back of their cold unmoving heads. Walking back he grabbed the woman’s arm, throwing her over his shoulder he walked out following the same path he had taken in.
Finally reaching the streets, the morning twilight was settling in the village. Walking to the nearest ANBU station, he dropped the damaged woman onto the floor, reaching up he drew out the small video recording media from the goggles and set it on the desk. “Follow the path out I took. You will find everything you need is recorded, including her” he said, pointing to the stirring woman “admitting to a plot against the better ideals of the Amegakure, as well as admitting she has been stealing goods from Kuja's Emporium of Exotics. Also, I recorded the path I took out, so you should be able to get back to the location with ease. All the stolen goods are still there from what I gathered, as well as two dead workers who were plotting with her.” Nodding, the ANBU took up the small disc and began to pat down the woman.
“I’m heading back to Kuja's Emporium of Exotics before I report in. Have fun with and watch it, she’s a living bag of tricks.” Taking one last look at the woman Kuro headed into the streets and back to the Emporium. Waiting outside for less than an hour, Kuja showed up looking rather excited.
“Did you get him??” nodding, Kuro began to open his mouth but was cut off. “How did he do it? Where was he taking all the goods? Why my shop? Tell me boy, TELL ME!” Shaking his head Kuro responded.
“Talk to the ANBU about the details, but…” taking off the goggles he handed them to the man “you can count on me wanting a pair of those when I get the money, they are fantastic. Now it you will excuse me I need to report it.” Turning around he headed for the tower.

Kawarimi no Jutsu (Body Switch Skill)
Rank: "E"
Skill: Ninjutsu
Effect: The Replacement technique. A technique where one quickly replaces their body with an animal or an object by making it seem like they were attacked, this usually distracts and confuses an enemy and create a chance to attack.
Special: ---
Drawback: A user may only switch with an object of similar size from the nearby area. A user must perform the jutsu ahead of time, and not within the same round they are attacking in. The Background must be explained correctly in order to perform. The user may not switch with an object on them, only something around them. The technique only works within a distance of five meters from the user. Objects changed may only be of at the most two feet in different fo size. A user may not perform this technique, and perform other techniques after because it gives out the position of the user. This technique does not work on area effect techniques that exceed the user's capabilities of performing Kawarimi no Jutsu (Body Switch Skill)
Description: The Kawarimi no Jutsu, allows a ninja to dodge attacks, whether they are weapons such as kunai, ninjutsu, taijutsu, or any other attack type. Coupled with other jutsu, it can be very effective in confusing your opponent, and catching them off-guard. The only downside, is it often takes a strategic mind to effectively utilize it, not that it can't be useful in the hands of an inexperienced ninja.
Limit: An academy Jutsu that all is capable of performing if they wish to do so.
