The vast oceans of sand's said name of favored description was now... boring, to say the least, to the child's youthful, creative mind. She knew that now was the time to not only broaden her horizons, but to put her "potential" to the true test of what had come to be known to her knowledge as the Chuunin Exams. An obstacle that had yet to be rounded, the genin would not be cursed with the short end of the stick this time; her prowess was just as godlike as she had intended it to be from the very beginning.
Her trek leading her to the border of her adoptive home, of the barren wasteland who's endless dunes of individual grains of salt had not neglected to smuggle there way in through the healer's elegant silken tresses of obsidian shadows, tainting them with a slightly decreased edge to her vanity. She hailed a sand ridden ship at the dried and miserable port, the harsh winds already pulling the sails out to sea. The child did not even bother to call for wait; rather, she simply hopped aboard, the term never having been so literal.
Having never traveled by sea before, the apprentice was happy to realize that she had been blessed with an immune system that denied even sea sickness. Or, just by coincidence, it would be her prowess paired with the status as one of the most esteemed medical kunoichi of the realm that had influenced such amazing health of the adolescent. For indeed, she wasn't like normal teens; she at her vegetables without being asked. They were approaching land now, the ship's swaying finally piercing through the child's silent speculations.
"Here we are," she breathed, already taking her leave.
