Silly Gargoyle - The Messenger of the Demon King

A Two story tavern with a basement. The building is 40 feet by 70 feet. There are 10 tables and a large bar. On the right hand side is a set of stairs to go up, while behind the bar it goes down to the basement. Servants are running around while all sorts of customers as well. People are hustling and bustling trying to serve what is needed. Two Bartenders a female and male are behind the bar, while there are two bar maids. A man would sit at the closest table near the front door. He was a young man wearing black garbs as he waited patiently while the sign of “demon“ in kanji was attached like an emblem to his front. Waiting for the people to arrive. He would slowly stand and chuckle “Tell the Ninja I am in my room” he say with a laugh before leaving to his room.

Where the Messenger is located - Noble (a large private room with large bed, private bath with hot water on request, snacks on request, and private chamber pot in a separate chamber). The door would be closed but he would stand in a non violent manner.

Food that is Sold:

• Breakfast: Octopus, Sharp cheese, Quail eggs, Raisins, Nut bread
  
• Lunch: Rabbit stew, Soft cheese, Corn, Blackberries
  
• Supper: Basilisk tail, Broccoli, Lentils, Sunflower loaf, Apple pie
  
• Snack: Sharp cheese, Melon, Oatmeal

Asato would be the first one to arrive on scene, near the tavern that was explained to him to be a rendezvous point with a messenger that would take him to the site of the latest mission. He hadn't entered yet, he inspected the place a bit from the outside noting a few things; then he entered. Even if this was only a rendezvous, one needed to be prepared for the worst.; by opting himself to be the forerunner of the mission he had agreed to carry the weight of the collective responsibility of his team-mates lives on his shoulders. Of course, besides the actual messenger there were other people in the tavern, he'd be wary.

He entered. Everyone in the tavern seemed. . normal. Asato stuck out like a sore thumb amongst the crowd. Luckily, such led to insight."There was someone saying to tell the Ninja he was here. I'm not sure what that meant, but. . he went that way", a barkeep announced pointing off into the direction. Of course this only drew more attention to Asato. Asato had hoped to keep a sort of low profile but that seemed almost impossible now. He nodded in reply, walking off into the direction.

Walking up the stairs and reaching the floor with all the rooms, he couldn't hope but notice how many rooms there were. Unfortunately, they left the little detail out about which bedroom the man was in. Oh well. Asato simply went around to each bedroom checking them. Unusually, he found most of them empty or with the occupant out. The last room, the room he deduced had the messenger in it, was the only room he hadn't checked, but he waited for his other cohorts to come, all three of them.

There was not much to say. Yuri would enter the tavern after his leader. Though reluctant to participate within this mission, he had no choice. Whatever his leader says, he must do. Yuri found it odd the messenger they were to meet would be in this place. Not only that, but he would even reveal information of Shinobi coming to this location. Was the messenger an idiot? He could have potentially caused death to the group.

This only lead to Yuri being more alert than before. Following his compatriot up the stairs, he would wait beside the door which they need enter. Who would be waiting behind this door? And what type of mission would this be? Yuri was a bit skeptical about this mission. Too many unknown variables would only lead to problems.

"This missions concerns me. It might lead to many problems."

Words to keep his fellow teammates alert. Yuri himself would be on guard the entire time. Should anything arise, he was prepared to counter and defend his cohorts. It was his duty.

Samus would follow her new teammates to the arranged meeting point. The girl did not even know the people she was supposed to be working with yet, so she decided that observing them and their personalities would be much more fun than anything the tavern could offer her. This would be the primary focus of the meeting for her.

The girl entered the bar second to last. Apparently there was one more person coming, but all the Uchiha could do was wonder who it could be. Her imagination ran wild with images of black lagoon monsters in headbands. Surprisingly this strange monster was close to the actual truth. In the next moment she banished the thoughts from her head. Once inside the tavern, Samus gazed around in wonder. She had been many places before, but this was the first time she had seen a bar. She went up the stairs to the place where her team awaited.

Both Asato and Yuri seemed to be the overly cautious type. Asato dawdled before entering the bar, while Yuri openly stated his anxieties. Samus wanted to finally introduce herself, but in the presence of such suspicious characters was not the time nor place to be revealing information. She casually strolled over to the door where her teammates were. The slightly annoying fact that she could not do as she pleased in this situation annoyed her, so she wanted to speed things up. "Are we going in or what?" The girl would ask, hoping they could finally enter.

[Ryozo]

Ryozo arrived, tailing his group from behind. The meeting place was a public one-- one filled with people. It was interesting: such a place seemed like the opposite of such a serious situation, but rather, a relaxed, drunken-filled bar. Regardless of these feelings, Ryozo felt anxiety about being the last ninja to arrive. Quickly, but cautiously, he glided through the entrance to the tavern, looking about.

Had he known the shinobi whom at arrived before him, he would have recognized her as she scaled the stairs. However, due to her facing up the stairs, he failed to see her headband and continued on ignorantly. Ryozo disliked public; his appearance failed to help any public situation, by causing nearly all passer-by's to stare. Regardless, Ryozo felt a tap on his shoulder and turned to meet the bartender, who kindly pointed him upstairs.

Climbing the stairs, he speedily entered the second floor, noticing his ninja group across the hall. Making his way there, he apologized, "Sorry I'm late." Hoping his comrades were kind, he stopped before them.

He stood there, calmly, breathing in waiting patiently. He wore dark black robes that reached down to his feet as a hood laid rested on his back. Long black hair flowed down to his lower back with the eyes of silver pearls. His eyes if read screamed out the name “warrior” but how strong was another question. He just watched calmly never speaking, never mentioning as his head cocked slightly. Ears were concentrating from the outside the door. Eyes narrowed as he heard a young male’s voice.

"This missions concerns me. It might lead to many problems."

‘Judging by the voice I would say a young man,’ he thought to himself. The door was not thick, and hearing words would be considerably easy. ‘And it begins, let us see how they handle themselves in conversation.’

With that he nodded. As he nodded he gave out a little whistle, the whistle of a robin chirping. On the outside near the door, near the door handle a shimmer could be seen. The shimmer looked translucent creating a shape of a small object. The shimmer then began appearing a more of a figure, fur made its debut, until finally there on the door knob was a pure black capuchin monkey. It screeched at the four people before turning the whole door knob with its body moving upside down before kicking off the door making it swing towards the man inside.

Inside they would see him, baring no weapons, hands within the robe. His face showed no emotion, yet he showed no malice or anger or any type of action to engage in combat. He stood near the window on the opposite end of the door. The capuchin monkey softly screeched as it ran towards his master running up the left arm up upon the shoulder before slowly shimmering once again to a quick disappearance.

“Greetings members of the Yukigakure.“ he said softly and elegantly. “I am a messenger of a Lord from a Southern Continent, and my name is Yamaguchi Kurojuro.” He would slowly remove an arm away from his robe as the word “demon” in kanji could clearly be seen. Within his hand he would bring out what looked like a small scroll. “This is the mission that I believe your leader sent you all to see. Please let me explain the mission for you.” he would continue as the capuchin monkey shimmered to be viewed on his arm quickly grabbing hold of the scroll with his tail before sailing down to the ground, rushing towards the four group outside (or inside if they ever decided to enter the room). If they took the scroll the capuchin monkey would simply move back to his master’s position, disappearing yet once again. “Our Lord is trying to remove a few forces that will help him achieve a goal within the Kiki Island located at the southern island of Sea Country. This force is harming his trade organization and must be extinguished.”

He would begin to examine each and every one of the four members carefully, looking at them up and down, waiting to hear what they would say before speaking out once again. “In the scroll you will see what you must, or what we ask of you to do.” in the scroll was a statement of what was asked. It was a hardcore mission, however it was an “A” rank mission, the mission would state an execution of the Lord that resided in Kiki Island of Sea Country. There it would explain that the man was a six foot eight tall man that wore over 200 lbs. He was a man with great stature with a long beard that reached down to his stomach while his weapon of choice was a halberd. Nothing else was mentioned other then the reward for the mission was 8,000 Ryo + other expenses that might be needed such as loot found where the Lord may be.

Within the room the group would hear a soft clicking noise over and over. The clicking noise was not consistent as it would click rapidly, or slowly, it was nothing to important as the sounds of the cicadas chirped outside.

Asato like the others, was simply wondering about things, rather absentmindedly in fact. However, while doing this he was staring at the door, fixated on it. What would be on the other side? His thoughts were quickly interrupted by the sudden shimmer of the doorknob and the manifestation of the animal.

" What the f--- . . ", he was immediately cut off by complete opening of the door and the sight of the large man within the room. He approached rather cautiously, his steps small, a natural reaction. When Asato had just about reached the man, he began to speak, " Greetings members of the Yukigakure. I am a messenger of a Lord from a Southern Continent, and my name is Yamaguchi Kurojuro. This is the mission that I believe your leader sent you all to see. Please let me explain the mission for you. " Asato would only overt his gaze from the man to watch the monkey-like animal walk to him with a scroll in hand; Asato taking the scroll almost immediately from it. He opened it nearly instantly afterward, taking a look at it's specific contents, what it exactly said. As he read it he switched his gaze constantly, reading, then pausing, casting a nervous glance at the man who stood before him. The man continued on, "Our Lord is trying to remove a few forces that will help him achieve a goal within the Kiki Island located at the southern island of Sea Country. This force is harming his trade organization and must be extinguished. In the scroll you will see what you must, or what we ask of you to do." He courteously allowed the man to speak his entire piece before speaking up.

"I'm Asato, the representative Ninja of this group; the leader. I have one concern, you know, this doesn't exactly tell us where on Kiki Island the target is. . is this implying we have to search ourselves?" He followed after the man had said everything he had to say.

Something else was bothering Asato though, as if something he'd seen in the scroll and the man said had been off and he was too absentminded to notice it. Though he was always one to be cautious, this same caution, would force him to often overlook the simpler details. His hand extended forth and handed the scroll to Yuri to overlook. Perhaps he would point it out, Yuri was often meticulous enough to notice the details he missed.

Indeed it was a surprise. The appearance of this monkey and its ability to open doors amazed Yuri. Inside, he slightly wished he had such a pet. As the door flew open, his eyes would go from the monkey to the man. His dark figure was just too ominous. Either way, Yuri would enter the room after Asato.

As he listened to his supposed 'Clients' words, his attention would mainly focus on this spectacle. The monkey from before would make its way over to Asato. Within its hands a scroll at which it would offer. Just watching this monkey in action was amazing. While he was listening, his attention was mostly towards the monkey. As the conversation would continue, Yuri did take note of both Asato's and the clients words. Shortly after, Yuri would notice Asato extend his hand forth, offering Yuri the scroll. Taking it within his hand, he began to read over the document. Perhaps there was something within this document Asato had missed?

Making his way over to a nearby chair, Yuri would take his seat. Placing both his legs onto the table, while his chair leaned back. Quite tired from the night before, a yawn would echo forth from his mouth. As he yawned, only one eye closed while the other had its vision glued to the document. Reading over it within his head, Yuri continued reading. As he continued reading, the sudden process of a few words would cause him to yell forth is shock.

"...and ASSASSINATE THE DAIMYO?!"

Such shock would cause Yuri to lose his balance. His sudden jump of shock would cause the chair in which he sat to lean ever more back. Unable to maintain his or the chairs balance, both would fall backwards. As he fell, the document would fly loose from his hand, only beginning to float down upon Yuri's contact with the floor. As the paper ever so gently floated down, its landing point upon Yuri's face. It would take a moment before words would come from his mouth. Though a bit muffled due to the piece of paper upon his face.

"Oi, Oi. We can't kill a Daimyo. Are you insane in the membrane? What did you eat this morning? BAKA!"

Even after his somewhat muffled talk and ranting, Yuri would not pick himself up. The shock was a bit much and he needed to fix his composure as he lay upon the floor. His body still in the position one would normally be when sitting in a chair. A low pitched slight whining cry could be heard from Yuri. He was pretending to cry, signifying the amount of trouble this mission was. In his mind, Yuri began to regret accepting this mission. It seemed like nothing but troublesome. As he lay there waiting for his answer, Yuri would indeed hear a clicking noise. He would however, try and not pay much attention to it. Though it was beginning to become very annoying. Almost like an itch you just cannot scratch.

As the young girl demanded entrance to the room it would seem to open up of its own accord. Samus would smile at this fact. Making the show all the more amusing would be the appearance of a small monkey to open the door. For a moment the Uchiha would not be able to help herself, and would reach out towards the furry thing to pet it. Its loud screech put a stop to that idea. Hmph! If it was going to be rude it did not deserve her kindness.

The girl would shift her attention from the monkey to the now open doorway, and she would step inside. There stood a tall, well mannered man the likes of which she rarely saw within the ninja world. It was the nature of their profession to attract many brutish types. He greeted them politely and explained their task. Samus noted the second appearance of the demon kanji that she had seen so far, and began to wonder what type of organization was hiring them. Whoever they were, Samus was pleased at their disposition. They were polite, direct, and understood the true purpose of ninja: to kill.

Well, first things first. She would respond to his welcome in kind before she went over the scroll. "Greetings to you as well Yamaguchi Kurojuro. I am Samus," The girl would state from behind her mask. She had not wanted at first to reveal personal information to a shady organization, but it was rude to not respond to such a polite man. Hell, she was trusting the organization with paying her, she could at least offer her name.

Next she would turn to the scroll, seeking a further understanding of the mission before commenting on it. She would stand on the tips of her toes and peek over Yuri's shoulder as he read. Samus' lack of many common morals was in some situations a social burden, but when going over mission details like these she would accept them without the slightest hesitation. She would quickly scan the scroll, committing the information to memory, before the boy under her neck began shouting.

"...and ASSASSINATE THE DAIMYO?!"

After Samus heard these words, she would not be able to contain herself. She would give him a swift chop to the top of his head from behind, hopefully one large enough to knock him out of his shock. Additionally, her position behind the chair would prevent it from falling over. The face beneath the mask worn by Samus would be one of an embarrassed scowl. What had she done to deserve a teammate like this? The girl would scoop up the floating scroll with one hand, and swiftly insert her other small hand into Yuri's open mouth. Preventing Yuri from speaking, she would whisper urgently at him, "Do NOT yell out that we are going to assassinate the Damiyo! Do you want the whole world to hear?" What the hell did Yuri think that he had been training his skills for? How long did he expect to keep picking kitties out of trees? Well, granted, kitties were cute... but they were ninja for crying out loud!

Turning quickly towards their host, with her hand still in his mouth if he had not yet removed it, Samus would begin to speak. "I apologize for my teammate's actions here. He is not feeling well today, but that illness I assure you will pass in a moment." The young girl would strike a piercing glare at Yuri after that, willing him to get over it.

The girl did have one remaining question however. "Yamaguchi," she would ask, "Do you have any idea of the personal bodyguards we can expect? Any other information you have on him would be useful. If not, that is alright too." Samus would be talking through a repeating clicking noise now, and as she hated being interrupted, she wondered what it could be.

[Ryozo]

Ryozo was a bit surprised as a small shimmer caught his eye. It seemed to go through stages of formation before it finally revealed itself as a monkey perched upon the doorknob. Said monkey twisted the doorknob, using its body weight to do so, and pushed against the door, opening it for the ninja. As the door swung slowly open, a ratehr eerie figure seemed to manifest on the opposite side, whom was garbed in a dark, concealing robe. His hands were covered completely, which in itself put the shark-boy on edge, alert. A single arm removed itself from its confines, however, only to reveal a yet more ominous sight: the kanji for "demon" tattooed everlasting upon the man's arm. Such a thing was in itself almost intimidating, but Ryozo made no action to reveal such thoughts.

The group moved into the room, with Ryozo tailing behind. The man was kind, and offered to explain their mission in detail as he offered forth a scroll. The monkey, whom had "shimmered" away only moments before, reappeared, taking the scroll forth. Ryozo had to wonder exactly how the monkey was being summoned-- he saw no handseals, and unless there was another person around, then he was rather confused. This caused his alertness levels to rise ever further, and his eyes began to dart about the room, searching for anything suspicious. Asato, the appointed team leader, took the scroll first. There seemed to be nothing amiss, and he read over the scroll silently before handing it to Yuri.

Due to Asato's silence, it was rather surprising when Yuri gave a sudden outburst about assassinating the Daimyo. Indeed, it was surprising that such a mission was assigned to four Genin, and it seemed that Yuri wished to continue speaking as Samus approached him, stuffing her hand forcibly into his mouth in order to silence him.

Ryozo's alertness came to near paranoia as a clicking noise made itself present within the room. Its inconsistency caused Ryozo to think it was possibly the doing of another human, as humans were far from perfect and consistency was a difficult thing to accomplish, at times. The white-haired shinobi spun a few times, taking in his surroundings and attempting to discover anything that may pose a problem to the four Genin. Indeed, it was possible he was simply overreacting, and while he understood that, he could do nothing to help his paranoia.

However, most of the information contained within the scroll was already said aloud within the room, and so the need for the scroll was all but extinguished for Ryozo. As such, he simply allowed Samus to keep it on her person, and waiting anxiously for the man to speak once more, hoping that he may say something to sate his paranoia.

I kept hearing this song during this meeting. I thought I had to share

To those who introduced themselves Yamaguchi Kurojuro would respectively bow keeping his eyes on the four, never leaving or trailing off to think or speak of something different. Yamaguchi Kurojuro made sure to note the two who introduced themselves, however was somewhat upset that the others never stated their names. But of course this could be very well the hospitality of Ninja within this world.

No noise escaped the man’s lips. His body language was still and cold. The silver eyes continued to lay upon the four. As the young man yelled out he simply closed his eyes as he took in a deep breathe.

"I'm Asato, the representative Ninja of this group; the leader. I have one concern, you know, this doesn't exactly tell us where on Kiki Island the target is. . is this implying we have to search ourselves?" As Yamaguchi Kurojuro began to part his lips he was suddenly interrupted by one of the two that never mentioned their names.

“...and ASSASSINATE THE DAIMYO?!" Yuki, Yuri yelled out as he lost his balance.

‘My goodness, is this what the Ninja are capable of within this region?’ he thought to himself before opening his eyes. ‘My lord will not be pleased,’ he continued thinking to himself. ‘Perhaps we have thought of the wrong group to take such a delicate job.’

"Do NOT yell out that we are going to assassinate the Damiyo! Do you want the whole world to hear?" interrupted the train of thought within Yamaguchi Kurojuro by Samus. His eyes gleamed a hint of hope that perhaps these four may in fact be capable of taking the task needed. "I apologize for my teammate's actions here. He is not feeling well today, but that illness I assure you will pass in a moment." She continued. "Yamaguchi," she would ask, "Do you have any idea of the personal bodyguards we can expect? Any other information you have on him would be useful. If not, that is alright too."

His eyes then followed to Samus as he looked at her straight and calm. “I understand that this is a hard job, but according to my Lord’s words, a Ninja is able to perform any task. If this is a hard task, please let me know and I will let my Lord know of this, and then we can perhaps find more suitable warriors to act with such a job.”

He would wait for their answer. If they honestly did not wish to do this mission Yamaguchi Kurojuro would simply lower his head and nod before walking out of the door. “My Lord will Understand.” he would speak out, to leave the room, and never return.

If they however did wish to take on this mission, he would continue first by answering the questions that needed or could be answered.

“Well to answer all of your questions respectively,” Yamaguchi Kurojuro said calmly keeping his arms down hidden within the pure black robe. “First, Sir Asato, the location is the Daiymo palace which is located fifteen miles north from the southern coast of Kiki Island.” he said calmly, and articulately, ensuring they would be able to capture every word. “No you will not search for yourselves. We will provide you all information such as the routes your target takes, where he is at what time, and how many guards there may be.” he continued somewhat answering Samus. “Miss Samus, we believe your target will have three personal bodyguards. They are exceptional warriors but we believe that you may have the power to take them out. However you will not go alone.” he continued taking a quick look around eyeing each and every warrior, noticing the fourth one was somewhat un-eased. “There is however one problem, one warrior who we believe is greatly powerful. He is a member of the Council of Kiki who goes by the name of Hattori Hanzō, however him we will have a member of our Organization handle him in order to make your Job easier.

Then he thought for a few moments slowly placing a hand up against his chin. His eyes looked down as his thin, nimble hand glided softly on his chin. “Let me think for a few moments here, as far as I know I do not have anymore information other then you will have people to accompany you.” he said softly. “I am only a messenger.

Finishing up a loud screech could be heard coming from the stairs. The screech sounded like the same species that came from the invisible monkey. If those would have wished to look would see a capuchin monkey with fur of dark brown. It would quickly rush through the four giving more of a “happier” screech while having something along it’s back, what looked like a scroll. Reaching but a few meters away from it’s master it would screech yet once more as it began to glow in a glimmer of yellow light. The light set off what looked like an electrical charge as it simply “blinked” or “flashed” to its master’s shoulders, perching before cocking its head with a smile as a glimmer of lightning glowed within its eyes.

Asato allowed everything to play out before he himself replied to the man; listening to his words attentively -- he needed to make sure he got everything correct. A sort of look was flashed in Yuri's direction before his hands flailed in the air a bit frantically, responding to the man's first comment. " No sir, I guarantee you this mission is well within the abilities of Yuki ninja to complete. We were just surprised is all -- don't mind our friend, like Samus said, he's feeling a bit ill." His mind wandered a bit in thought as his hands dropped to his sides, " Furthermore, sir, as ninja of Yukigakure we are bound to our Kage's decisions. ." He searched for the conviction to continue, ". . . And if such is a mission like this one and is within our ability to complete, as in this case, we'll do it. "

Asato listened to what the man had to say after this, mentally noting any specific things which would be of help, such as the distance from the southern coast of Kiki -- that being fifteen miles north. After the man had finished his piece about the their outside help, he'd ask the obvious follow-up question. "So we are getting a bit of outside help, huh. If I may ask, is this help meeting us on site?"

As the monkey came prancing in he tried to ignore it, though his eyes didn't obey this plea -- watching it as it went about it's business. But, he managed to shake his gaze before it blinked onto its master's shoulders. Though he really wanted to know what the heck it was, and how it was doing all this he said nothing. Saying something might spark some confrontational speech as he didn't have it in him to ask it with the necessary tone to make it seem un-hostile or to not insult the man; all that came to mind when he saw it was, 'What in the hell is that?'

There was not much Yuri wished to say. More like, there was nothing he could say. With Samus's hand within his mouth, his speech would be mumbled. Though the obvious decision was to remove his allies hand from within his mouth, Yuri did not. Instead, he would attempt at speech with a hand within his mouth.

"-o, w-o e--c-ly i- -his -a--ori -an-o?

Yuri himself knew the difficulty to talking with someones hand within his mouth. He should have obviously removed it as soon as possible. Grasping his allies hand, he would now proceed to remove the said hand. Once removed, Yuri would once again ask his question.

"So, who exactly is this Hattori Hanzo? Is there anymore information on him?"

The fact that the messenger did not reveal anymore information on this Hattori Hanzo obviously meant he had no more to say about him. Even so, Yuri was compelled to ask. The lack of information about an individual who needed mention of his own was bad. It left Yuri with a sense of discomfort. Placing his head upon the table, his arms crossed, slightly covering his mouth, Yuri needed to address an issue which no one seemed to ask.

"And, I am not ill. It was just a surprise is all. Besides, this mission worries me. What will your mighty 'Lord' do if war were to break out? What would you do then? Though Shinobi are weapons to be used during a war, it does not mean they should be treated as pawns."

Though rude, it was a necessary question and remark. If war should break out between the two villages due to this or should war break out at all, it would lead to chaos. Chaos was one thing the Snow village wished to avoid. Yuri needed to remind his clients of this fact.

As this question was asked, the said second monkey would enter. Its glowing eyes gave an ominous feel. Yuri himself, did not like this at all. Asato's question would already add a bit of discomfort to Yuri. He really did not wish to know what lay before him.

The young girl felt a glimmer of pride, which gleamed underneath her opaque mask in the form of a smile. She had successfully quelled a potentially explosive situation, which was a deviation from the norm. Samus usually caused such troubles. But now, to Yamaguchi at least, she had taken on the persona of a reliable figure, she would have to keep the appearance up to his standards. 'Samus the trustworthy,' She mentally dubbed herself, prepping her mind to act like the most responsible of adults she had observed. This was going to be fun.

“I understand that this is a hard job, but according to my Lord’s words, a Ninja is able to perform any task. If this is a hard task, please let me know and I will let my Lord know of this, and then we can perhaps find more suitable warriors to act with such a job.”

She heard this and immediately acted to dispel such notions. "Don't misunderstand," she explained. "We only ask you these questions so that our mission can be completed faster and more efficiently, which should work out better for the both of us in the long run. Don't you agree?"

After that, she would ask no more questions. The credibility of her teammates was dropping by the second due to the outrageous questions they were asking, but so long as Yamaguchi focused his eyes on her, they should still end up receiving the mission in the end. Samus would exude an air of confidence that her teammates seemed to lack, and they would acquire the information that they decided was most important. No matter what Yamaguchi said, it really should be a hassle to arrange for another team to take this mission in time. Not to mention that the fewer people that knew about this task the better.

The young ninja would spot yet another monkey, a different colour than the one before it, and with a rather different shriek. There were strange effects on this monkey, which the girl could not quite understand. It used what appeared to be a Lightning Shunsin, which was odd enough on its own, but it also had a lingering effect of lightning within its eyes. Something was strange with these monkeys. Perhaps that annoying clicking sound from earlier was the first invisible monkey scampering around on the floor.

Samus had been debating whether or not to utilize her Sharingan here to figure out the truth behind these creatures, and her curiosity finally overcame her. It was strange to use her bloodlimit technique on a supposed ally, but it was even more strange for him to need such tricks against his guests. Channeling a minute amount of chakra into her eyes, the Uchiha's pupils would deepen to a crimson colour. Anything falsely askew in the room would instantly illuminate itself only to her, while her morphed eyes remained hidden behind her mask. What did Yamaguchi have to hide?

Should Ryozo not have been so paranoid, he would have introduced himself before he had done anything else. However, there was no ceasing the endless torrent of anxiety and paranoia which came over the shark-boy in waves. It was no fear, no, only anxiousness in the form of extreme caution and suspicion. Perhaps, if their 'client' weren't so mysterious, he would feel otherwise, but this, combined with the string of strange events, gave Ryozo's mind little rest.

However, he managed to calm himself down quite a bit. In fact, it was no longer apparent that he was anxious, which was mostly due to his own logic. He figured that, even if something bad happened, during such a time when he was acting so paranoid, and he saw it coming, his uneasiness would cause him to fail in countering the event regardless. Indeed, this caused him to pay more attention to the discussion at hand, and he waited silently as the questions were answered. His fellow teammates had mostly covered everything that was needed, and as such Ryozo had no questions dealing with the mission.

However, there were still many questions plaguing his mind. Regardless, he did not ask, as they had nothing to do with what was at hand. Then, there was yet another shimmer, and a shriek followed. Another, differently colored monkey entered the room from afar. This one carried a scroll along its back, which gave Ryozo yet anotehr curious thirst.

"So we are getting a bit of outside help, huh. If I may ask, is this help meeting us on site?" the leader asked. Watching closely, listening to the conversation, or choice of words being projected out towards Yamaguchi Kurojuro he just waited patiently.

"So, who exactly is this Hattori Hanzo? Is there anymore information on him?" the other spoke, the one who vividly mentioned the death of a Daiymo within another country. "And, I am not ill. It was just a surprise is all. Besides, this mission worries me. What will your mighty 'Lord' do if war were to break out? What would you do then? Though Shinobi are weapons to be used during a war, it does not mean they should be treated as pawns."

Hearing the words of her colleague Samus then spoke "Don't misunderstand," she explained. "We only ask you these questions so that our mission can be completed faster and more efficiently, which should work out better for the both of us in the long run. Don't you agree?"

As they each spoke out in concern, while the leader was more curious about the mission at hand then the consequences that may appear later on the young man Yamaguchi Kurojuro slowly reached up with his left arm up to the monkey that simply “flashed” to his shoulder giving it a gentle pet as he watched the four with his still ever intention non emotional eyes.

“First, allow me to interject here.” he said softly as he continued to watch the four. What Yamaguchi Kurojuro didn’t know was that Samus had activated her hidden potential, the potential in which many consider as a “crutch” while some consider it as a god blessing. What she would see with her new found eyes was honestly not as much as her regular eyes would be able to see. Yamaguchi Kurojuro slowly reached to the scroll slowly removing it in which was attached to a pouch the monkey had carried. What Samus would see as Yamaguchi Kurojuro began to unravel the scroll beginning a little speech, or giving out the answers that were needed was the other monkey. It stayed perched on its master’s right shoulder looking up and around.

Because Samus was able to see the other monkey, she should come to the realization that they were under a GenJutsu in which kept the monkey hidden. However the new question is, who did this, who made the monkey invisible, was it someone else? Was it the emotionless messenger who never once used his arms, or was it the monkey.

“This is my own personal messenger,” Yamaguchi Kurojuro said calmly opening the scroll. “He is quite fast, and very reliable, nothing to be concerned about.” he continued. “Now for the aid, you will meet them soon enough, or perhaps really…” he began to drift as his eyes narrowed on the scroll. “You will be better acquainted with them later at the ship.” he said with a soft sigh closing the scroll. “Hattori Hanzo I honestly have no other information about him other then he is a true warrior, one to be feared by many. According to rumors his name is heard from across the countries all around.” he then began to think of what else they had asked. Having the scroll closed he clutched the scroll in his hand as he closed his eyes.

The monkey Samus would see would continue to stay on its master’s shoulder never moving while looking around chomping its death as if having a fun time. The clicking noise however was not formed by the monkey as by now they would hear it all around the room. The cicadas outside continued to chirp as well, but this clicking noise was definitely not made from them.

“If you are found out, you will most likely be tortured and killed, however you are not the only one in the Lord’s plans and because of this, if there is a problem that has to be done in which the Ninja cannot handle the Lord will handle it himself.” Yamaguchi Kurojuro projected with a stern like voice. “Again, if this is a problem, if you feel that your work will not be compensated, please let me know and I will let my Lord know of this.” Yamaguchi Kurojuro continued slightly annoyed. It was odd to hear a ninja be more concerned about a larger outcome. It was refreshing, but yet it rose questions in the mind of Yamaguchi Kurojuro. Then he stopped and thought to himself. “No, I understand what you are worried about. If something happens, your village will not be involved.” he said respectively.

Then he moved the scroll up to his face yet once again however it being closed this time. “I understand your feelings, but do not worry, my Lord’s plans are not involve the world, and we came to you because you are so far away from the Country of Sea.” he continued before moving the Scroll into his cloak with his left hand as the Monkey that Samus could see began to play with its feet on its master’s shoulder.

“The message I have received.” Yamaguchi Kurojuro said softly looking down. This would be the first time he would speak without looking at the four. “It said the General is waiting at the ship, and is waiting for your arrival. Do not worry about me for I will be fine. Go on ahead without me and we will meet you at the ship.” he continued calmly.

As he finished a shimmer appeared on the left, and right hand side of Yamaguchi Kurojuro. Morphing into view within a few seconds stood two quite large warriors. They wore masks over their faces, eyes could not be seen. Their armor was meshed as they seemed to be well armored with weaponry. It looked as if they were phasing into this existence, but the four could easily see they were simply cloaked. If they examined they would notice each had a large what looked like bracer on their right arm. With their left hand they carried a large spear. Where their helmets were located it seemed their hair was braided into dreadlocks as they also kept a number of weaponry on their sides. The two most peculiar weaponry however was what was the left arm bracer as it was not the same as the right arm, and the quite large unknown weapon on their upper right shoulder.

Then near the door, along the walls up within the corners two more slowly shimmered through wearing similar weaponry, however one looked to have a large battle axe across its back while the other had a quite large razor whip wrapped around its side as they seemed to be holding themselves on the wall (think like spiderman). Quickly falling to the ground they began to click as if making a high growl, but it was not a growl, but more of multiple clicks. Not speaking a word one by one they would simply exit the room as Yamaguchi Kurojuro would look up at the four warriors ahead of him while the two beside them would maneuver between the four in order to exit.

“Anymore questions?” he would ask.

Again, while listening Asato had made note of any specific details to remember -- though the only thing that was pivotal information was the fact they would not be held accountable for anything. Good thing too, they didn't want any trouble to befall Yukigakure. Even worse so, if anything had happened he knew Axcel would blame him for it.

"Excellent then, I suppose there will be-- . . " He was cut off by the sudden appearance of the warriors.

Asato as a whole wasn't surprised by the warrior's appearance. He had noticed the frequent clicks at normal intervals that had resounded through the room since the beginning of their arrival. Though, he didn't exactly think it was these warriors making the noise, he had deduced something was lurking somewhere. Nonetheless, upon their arrival he tensed up slightly a bit startled regardless of his deductions.

"What. . " He shook his head, of course the messenger wouldn't come along alone, even if he was so mysterious and seemingly powerful, coming to a foreign land along would be stupid. Asato didn't continue whatever he was going to say, allowing the warriors to pass between him and exit.

"There will be no more questions." A pause. "You hear that? Even you Yuri; keep your comments to yourself." Another pause. "We'll meet you at the ship Yamaguchi. It is at the harbor. . right?" His form lowered as he bowed to the man respectfully and then turned, following the warriors out of the room and possibly out of the Tavern. Though, he didn't really know where they were going. The ship was obviously going to be at the harbor, he'd go in that direction, and if the warriors happened to be heading in that direction too, so be it.

The sudden appearance of the warriors was startling. Though Yuri's reaction seemed as if he didn't care much. He just examined the warriors for but a second before watching them leave. At last the source of the clicks echoing through the room was discovered. These warriors who seemed like something out of a comic book or movie looked quite silly to Yuri. So much weaponry made them look more suspicious and quite funny looking then scary. It amused Yuri ever so slightly. None the less, they were leaving.

Yuri had wished to say something before they left but the order from Asato would stop him. It did not matter. His question was trivial and would for now not need answering. Sitting within the chair, his body leaned onto the table, Yuri would wave good bye to the warrior and messenger. A slightly fake smile upon his face. However, as he waved good bye, he noticed Asato begin to leave.

Getting to his feet, Yuri would follow. He heard Asato mention a ship but Yuri had no idea where it was. Instead of trying to walk where ever, he would simply follow Asato. He was pretty sure that the leader knew where to go. Or at least had a general idea of where to go. At last the mission was starting and Yuri was not quite happy about it.

He'd rather lay about watching the clouds. Instead, he was on this mission. He now had no choice but to do his best to finish this mission. He also especially had to try and not die. Death at this point would be just too troublesome of a thing.

Samus would peer through her mask at the exposed world before her. Two monkeys were then visible to her eyes, but nothing new. She watched the interesting creatures a bit, before turning back to Yamaguchi. The girl was getting rather tired of his situation, and regained her previous feelings of wanting to leave. This messenger obviously had nothing more to tell them, and it was time for the team to take their leave.

Suddenly two weird dudes appeared. They interrupted her train of thought, demanding attention through their strange approach. Samus had no idea what in the world these things were, but she liked them. Were they even people of this world? What strange gear. The young girl stared at them with wonder, and followed them with her gaze as they passed through the group of teammates.

“Anymore questions?”

Her attention was snapped back to their original host with that, and she turned to face Yamaguchi. She shook her head energetically in a "no," but was far too enraptured by strange men to respond with a real voice. She discontinued the chakra flow to her crimson eyes, preferring to look upon these new characters with her own true eyes. It was apparent by now that while the strange organization favored stealth and tricks, it was going to take care of its weapons. At least until they completed their task.

She was pleased to hear that they would not have to stay, and with a quick bow she would scamper out of the room after the warriors, and would follow her new leader Asato.

Ryozo's sat silently as the robed man continued to answer his teammates questions. There was a lot of information, but soon the man's answers seemed to run thin, and he no longer had any informational use to the four ninja.

Then, suddenly, Ryozo's suspicions were confirmed. There were indeed others, and apparently they had been there the entire time, as the clicking noise seemed to reverberate from beneath their strange masks. Ryozo was curious as to their nature, and nearly spoke out to ask about them as the man confirmed that there were no more questions, before Asato let the group know that they were to ask no more questions. It didn't seem that these "warriors" were any type of ninja, but they seemed to display abilities that normal people could not achieve-- Ryozo's curiosity would not be quenched, however, as the man left the room, accompanied by his only just-arrived warriors.

The group said nothing to each other as they began to exit the room, and Ryozo followed suite. Apparently, the boat was ready, and the four were to report there. Ryozo assumed they were headed towards the harbor, as there was really no other place for a boat, less their 'client' had chosen another place to hide his vessel, should others become curious.

Somehow, despite the strange occurrences within the tavern, Ryozo's paranoia was slightly relieved. The source of the clicking noise was revealed, and despite their...intimidating features, it aided in Ryozo's quest for tranquility. Besides, appearances weren't something that intimidated Ryozo.
