Reward: 1500”Ugh, Can’t believe we’re all a bunch of hippies, heh..”
Oruganei flipped through the brochure while staying in the Herbology office. It was the only room that held stability and was the only room with air conditioning to match. The assistant they left in charge was about his age, and it wasn’t like him to not flirt. She wore a green short skirt, tank top and glasses. Her eyes were also green and she steadily sucked on a lollipop while reading a comic.”Well, I don’t mean to intrude but can I have some gum?””The last one’s in my mouth, sorry babe.””Oh, what flavor?””Umm, watermelon. Why?””Well, I kind of still wanted to taste it,””Ooh, you’re a bad boy. Well, I guess you can taste it if you like,”
Surprisingly Oru had the chance to do so. Yet he was interrupted by one of the construction workers who had busted in as he began to get closer to the girl.”Let’s get going,”
In that second of his pride it was over. The girl blushed but returned to reading her magazine. Oru was forced to trample out the door and over to the supply wheel to get to work. There was a lot to be done. Rocks and dust remained on the floor from the constant construction. It smelled like a saw mill, as if wood was being cut 24/7. Various conversations held on by the many workers at the research institute kept the place exuberant. Oru wanted to day dream about what it was like being a construction worker, but there were other plans in store for him that what he had planned to do.”Here, grab these. Go to the next floor and hand them to Kakan,”
A pile of 2 x 4’s was placed in Oru’s hands as the construction worker ordered him to transport the wood. The weight had surprised Oru, he didn’t think he’d be using as much muscle as he was being made to. He stumbled a little, wobbling from left to right to try and gain his balance. Once he’d regained it, he began cursing the construction worker out silently as he tried to look tough carrying roughly over 20 pieces of wood. As his face kept hitting the wood as he struggled to uphold the wood for the remainder of the walk he kept wondering why did my first mission have to be this one.
