[The Irredeemable ZaG]

Zag aimlessly wandered about the mist village, it's architecture was radically different to amegakure, kirigakure's buildings were all much shorter and made from wood and stone, and the insistent fog was everywhere, He had no idea what was causing it but he could only see clearly for about ten or maybe twenty meters before it all got blocked by the haze, every now and then Zag would trip on some unseen crack in the road, he was amazed that the same never happened to the villagers, each time he picked himself up and shot a harsh look at any passersby who were sniggering at the rain ninja.

So far this mission was a bit of a tragedy, he tried to keep ayake's betrayal out of his mind by going to the little tourist spots, the place that the first mizukage founded the village, the largest temple in the village, he manged to find a market arcade which boasted stalls of fish and fruit as far as the eye could see (which was to be fair only twenty meters or so), each one of these were to be frank, a bit unimpressive, but he reckoned tourism wouldn't be top priority for a hidden village.

Zag followed the large river that writhed through the village, the mass of water spilling out to the sea at the other end, Zag was still very much in the village's center, the river was constantly flanked by buildings and lamp posts, the light from the powerful lightbulbs caused a bright shimmer that shone on the walls of every building and the eyes of everyone walking beside it, as he walked Zag thought about the mission, wondering what it was that mitsukai needed to do in order to set up the allaince between mist and rain, after that it was still only half done since after this he, mitsukai and another mist nin were supposed to travel to the hidden waterfall village and set up an allaince with them as well, Zag seriously wondered if all this bother was worth the B rank payment, but at least it was'nt another idiotic D or C rank he was doing.

His path brought him to one of the many bridges that allowed passage over the massive river, this one was wide enough to have a few benches on it, Zag stopped his march and went over to put his feet up for a bit, practically collapsing onto one of the wooden benches, he squirmed onto his back and rested his head on one of the chairs arms, he thought about amegakure and sighed, sure it was a village run by a sociopath but it was bloody home to him, he realised this was the first time he'd actually been so far away from it, but knackered from travelling all around about a forth of the village he just closed his eyes and enjoyed his few minutes rest.

Zag had accidentally fallen asleep on the wooden bench above the river, waking up after, being startled by a stray cat that had been sleeping on his chest get up and launch itself down the road, digging its claws in Zags chest as it leaped, rudely awakened Zag scowled at the fleeing cat looking around he saw a public clock, he'd been asleep only for a few hours but it was almost the middle of the afternoon by now, there was no way Zag could even see half of what was left in the village before midnight, he also realized how hungry he was, he hadn't eaten anything since he headed off from amegakure.

After taking a minute to clear all the sleep from his system Zag got up off the bench and walked off the bridge and continued down the road, he might as well see as much as he could before Mitsukai finished up the negotiations, or whatever its called, with the mizukage, but for now he wanted to find someplace that could just serve him some bloody simple chips, snags and fish, and with that in mind he followed the path of the river through the middle of the village, the smell of salt water permeated the fog that arose of it.

His search was unfortunately fruitless, the river led him into a more rich scale shopping district, shops with expensive suits and kimono's were shown in every window, and the few cafés and restaurants Zag could find served just expensive coffee or muffins, and part of the whole reason Zag took this B-rank mission was because he was scint for cash, he marched through the district, his stomach growling gradually louder and louder, he didn't even like coffee but he figured he would soon be to the point when he'd eat anything that wouldn't put up that much resistance.

Finally he'd escaped the wretchedly shiny and overpriced district that seemed to spring up in every village or town of decent size, dealing with all those people in one big place was like hell for Zag, but it seemed he found his way back to a fishmongers area, boats of sea produce slithered up and down the river, each carting huals of different fishs, Zag looked around, this kind of place had to have a fish 'n chips somewhere, it was just a matter of time, he left the river side and started trailing through all the adjoining allys and side roads, sometimes they we're occupied by a few scalers, but still no where to eat, but as he turned a corner he saw a few blokes in big yellow waterproof jackets opening a door, when it opened a trail of steam came out the top of the doorway and the sound of frying echoed along the stone walls.

Zag quickly hid his rain headband, he was'nt in the mood to explain what a rian ninja was doing in kirigakure, then charged towards the door, desperate for a meal, he swung the door almost off it's hinges, inside he saw the two fishermen who'd just come in and a couple of dark skinned blokes behind a counter working over a few pans and friers, all looked at the sudden intrusion with confusion, Zag ignored them and went to the counter "Hey, just a chips and snapper please mate." he asked.
One of the cooks went over to Zag, a look of curiosity on his face, clearly this place did'nt get many ninja "Yeah no worries, it'll be two minutes." he said with a mizu no kuni accent.
Zag took a seat and waited for his lunch/dinner to finish cooking, every now and then the two fishermen would shoot a look at the rain ninja's direction for a second, everytime Zag would respond with a stone faced stare, privatly enjoing creeping out the locals, soon though his meal was ready and he left the few bob it cost on the counter and left.

By now it was getting pretty dark so he walked back to the tower as he ate, maybey the mizukage would be so impressed by Mitsukai that he'd front a couple of rooms for them, or maybey Mitsukai was dead and as soon as he was in spitting distance of the tower he'd have a kunai lobbed at his head, whatever, Zag had something to eat so at least he'd not die hungry.
