He had taken the day off after his missions and had instead decided to sleep into the early dawn. His eyes twittered into awakening, but he had instead just laid in bed for some minutes and stared out the large window of his room into the sunrise. When he felt up to waking himself, he crawled lazily out of bed and prepared for the rest of the day.
Today he was going to be training for the Chuunin Exams, one of the last times he thought he would have the chance. Grabbing his backpack, he grabbed his food materials and small snacks, and then the most important, his training books. He took a lightning release book, earth release book, water release book, as well as a Krav Maga book, and-because no literal learnings of Gladiator existed- a book on the famous Gladiators and their accomplishments.
He slung on the bag, and made his way out of his apartment. The city streets were mostly just rustling as he was. Most people were just opening shop or in rare cases a solitary being would be walking or jogging, listening to their music devices. Nothing truly eventful, but all of it was natural.
He finally reached his first destination, the latest gym of his choice. The gym was relatively new, but its equipment was very up to par. After all of the protocol, he was allowed inside, and was mostly empty as this time. He didn't bother to find any lockers this time in the gym, since he didn't plan on staying long, but he rolled his pants up as high as they could go-around his knee- and removed his long coat.
After he placed those on the ground he faced the object in front of him. The punching bag, a heavier weighted one that would swivel less and take more punishment. Then, he went up to his tip toes, surprisingly not too difficult even in his boots, and bounced a little. This was the start of his training today. He wanted to practice his footwork, because most brawlers didn't. However no rule had been made against movement, so he figured it wasn't taboo.
