Alright, well, I'm a cheap-o so I couldn't afford to buy rly good Photoshop... but Photoshop CS1 came w/ my computer. After getting thoroughly frustrated with all the complexities of navigating it, I finally gave up and used a tutorial. Halfway through the thing, I was beginning to figure out how to use the application and thought, "Aah what the hey, I'll try something of my own." I've only been at it for a couple of days... and yes I am shitty. This is why I post my thread, to give people a good look so they can help me with my work. And now I've deleted my old shit (Coz it was embarassing) And, in it's place, have posted my favorite stuff here (From Best Downwards)

So nao I've uploaded my best stuff to here. I'll change if my fav's change. Also, I didn't necessarily post them in order of outcomes, but how much I enjoyed making the sigs and avvys too.

You should probably look at my thread. It's titled "Signature Making". It has tons of tips that would help you, and sites for resources and tutorials.

Yeah, I'm aware. I've looked at your tips and stuff but they all seem quite.... complex. I was hoping to get some direct criticism on each pieces of my puny work, rather than all my stuff bunched as one big group because frankly it... doesn't really help. But yes I did try some of your tips but since no-one else has bothered looking here I'm assuming it is rather pointless to continue uploading stuff.

By the way, anyone can have anything long as you notify me. Not like my shit's worth... er... shit... anyway...

Alright, I know I said I wain't gon upload no more shit but frankly I think I've gotten better. After a few tuts, I got some work going, and started adding some of my own fx. I'd download some new brushes but I'm not sure how with CS1.

#1. Gaara Sig obviously. Almost totally tutorial-based.

#2. Haruno Sakura image was hard to keep in good quality while resizing it. Made for my sister. I tried adding a little more fx to this but frankly there isn't much change in style; it's almost exactly the same as the last one.

#3. Alucard ftw. Added some lighting effects and a little stronger outer glow. I like these better than the top two.

#4. Ditched the tutorial and tried something of my own after the first few steps. The text... is meh. But I like the general colouring n shit.

Hopefully this stuff is better than the last set.... way, better. Anything can be used so long as I'm notified first. Also I'll make anything for anyone free of charge because I'm really bored and need something to do

Honestly I have no real idea what people like in a sig. I mean I can tell a good sig from a bad sig but... seriously sometimes I see things that I think are awesome and people are all like... "Wow that sucks ballz." So yeah, maybe I finally caught on. Thanks for the comment.

Basically, look at my sigs, axcel's sigs, and even some of Toki's. These are what people like in sigs. =P

Deidara is one of my fav characters. I enjoyed making this coz I played around with a few new brushes. It probably didn't come out as well as some of my other sigs.... but hell, I love it.

Imma use that one nao.

#2. This time, I really did enjoy the outcome. It was also the first time I used more than five brushes XD. ...Ok, the effects are pretty much the same, but I did a different style avatar, and I liked it

Hahhahahahahaha. I just turned evil. I tried doing a Vel with my sig, if you know what I mean. If you don't, I mean a creepily stylish lighting effect.


....and failed. *Looks dejected* (Coz there's no smiley for it).

This one's a Kisame, and... well, I dunno, other pplz can say whether it's good or bad.

As I said, I did a Vel... I don't even remember how I did it either. I did some crazy lighting effect and some sort of Layer Adjustment. T_T I wish I remembered how I did it. And yeah, I love Cyan ;D

So I tried to remember the effect, and, though I couldn't, figured out how to do this: (Rock Lee One, for those who are just skipping through here for their fav character) Avatar now modified and bordered.

Once again, no idea how I did it T_T. This one was allot more controlled; whether as my others are mainly just random brush strokes covered in colour balance, this was more intentional and carries a fair few more twists to it. I was lazy with the avvy. Why?... Because it was the nineteenth piece of GFXing I'd done. In a day.

HINATA ALERT. Avatar now in + the tag has now been bordered.

Kk, the avvy is now in, and it came out better than expected. B-eautiful render 'twas. Take note of the lighting effects. TAKE NOTE OF THEM. They're all this sig's good for. By now, as you can see... I completely ditched the tutorial. Now has a border.

Ok, new three now in. After this imma just triple methinky coz this post r clogged? I unno, maybe I'll wait for someone to comment. PLEASE COMMENT.

No idea what the red one is in your last post.

Don't try cluttering to many stuff in, simpey flows and splatters work good if you can find the right render with the right colors. Your master chief one just looks much to cluttered.

You're naruto one is my favorite of the set.

Hmmm... very interesting, I like the Orihime signature and the Suigetsu signature the most out of everything you've done so far.

Here are some things that I'd suggest.

1. If you're going to change the image size, make sure the image stays in the same proportions. Some of your signatures are riddled with image squishing.

2. Try avoid using very many effects on the character images, though the blue Kisame, purple tint on the Hinata, and lighting glow on Rock Lee and Naruto may seem like good ideas, the less effects you use on the image the better it will usually turn out.

3. Try making the character images slightly transparent (like 5-10%) and smudging the edges a bit, it should make the image and background flow together more smoothly.

4. Keep your background darker than your image or vise versa. Having your image hide in the background like as if they are wearing camouflage (Like in the Master Cheif and Pyramid Head signatures) usually makes both the image and the background unappealing.

5. Try to use a lot of different background images and effects. Even if it takes a bit of trial and error, having more than just a few effects and background stocks can keep our signatures from beginning to look all the same. (Yes, I can see that faint, smudging line effect that you've included in a lot of your signatures. DX)

Thanks Kiyoshi: Those are awesome tips! And yeah, I have kinda favourited a few brushes. I'll try to implement a few more brushes next time. And I suppose what you saw in the last three was trial and error: I was playing with covering the characters and stuff like that; obviously it went wrong

Omfg. I really like this one. As you can see I was mainly just playing around with my NU SPLADDER BRUSHEZ!! This was done before Kiyoshi and Hiroko's tips, so yeah, don't say "But you didn't do what I told joo!" Plz.

MAWR SPLADDER BRUSHEZ!! This was done after Kiyoshi and Hiroko's tips, so I tried doing what they told meh. I wasn't exactly sure what smudging was (Ir noob DX) so I just did some low opacity erasing on Neliel's outline. Tada! Enjoyz. Though this probably wasn't one of my better works.

And finally, the cutest little girl in Bleach. May hurt your eyes:

Did it hurt your eyes D: It came out brighter than expected. I did two colors this time, though they kinda blended; magenta and red. I like this one, even if it lacks depth I think it has some flow. Minor characters ftw.

On the Espada one in the post before your last, your background is too plain. Look at his facial expression, its crazy. It'd be nice if you spiced up the background some too. Give it a try.

TRIUMPH. This was a real sort of landmark moment for me. I'd never used vector brushes, hardly ever used C4Ds, not really put much effort into lighting, and I come up with this. OSSIMOSSIMOSSIMOSSIMOSSIM.
