Effect: A technique which utilizes one own chakra to strengthen their paper. The more one learns into this technique, the stronger one is able to make their paper.

Drawback: The user must learn each rank of Kami Goukyou (Paper Strength) in order to be capable of making the paper stronger. This works well except for techniques that deal with fire damage or water damage.
Description: By combining ones own chakra within paper, they are capable of strengthening its form. The more attune one is with paper, the stronger it becomes. A vital step when attempting to draw out the full potential of ones paper. Note that no matter the rank of this technique, greatswords and other special weapons B rank and up are unable to be broken by the paper due to the unparalleled craftsmanship of the weapons.
• When the user learns the D rank of this technique, they are capable of making their paper as strong as stone. At this stage, they are capable of cutting flesh.
• When the user learns the C Rank version of this technique, they are capable of making their paper as strong as iron. At this stage they are capable of cutting through stone.
• When the user learns the B Rank version of this technique, their paper is as strong as steel. At this stage they are capable of cutting through iron.
• When the user learns the A Rank version of this technique, their paper is as strong as titanium. At this stage they are capable of cutting through steel.
• When the user learns the S Rank version of this technique, they are capable of making their paper as strong as damascus steel. At this stage the piece of paper is capable of cutting through titanium.

Well, now that I was able to actually manipulate the paper itself, some strength had to be added to it. As of now, the paper itself had the general strength of…paper. It could be ripped and torn easily and honestly, no damage could really be potentially done by it. Possibly, if I added more chakra into the paper itself, maybe the paper would harden and take the strength of that of a harder substance. Of course, since this is an experimental matter, I wouldn’t be aiming to harden the paper to an unrealistically strong level but enough to where the paper itself would be considered a viable tool and weapon to use.

I didn’t find it necessary to go outside so I just remained within the hospitality of my apartment and sat within my own room, on the bed to be specific. I took out a single paper card from one of my holsters and focused hard. Chakra surged into the card in an attempt to harden it but nothing was honestly happening. So I continued to sit there and tried my hardest to keep my chakra solidified within the paper card itself so that something would at least happen for the most part. So I continued to sit there, continuing to fill this card with chakra…

When Iz showed up. He seemed to have been in the kitchen eating something and had just came back with a toothpick, picking at his fangs to clean them of any uneaten food material. As I continued to harden this single paper card, he stared at me with those red eyes of his and chuckled.

“The hell are you doin’.”

Honestly, I was too preoccupied to answer such a question so I just ignored him for the most part. Seeing that I ignored him, Iz chuckled again [ though this sounded like a low growling ] and dug in his pocket for his pack of cigarettes. Lighting one of them, he smoked for a moment and blew out a stream of smoke which irritatingly got into my face. Coughing and rubbing my eyes in order to rid myself of the noxious substance, Iz laughed again before saying:

“I’m talking to you, MIDGET.”

Mind you, he did not stress the last word of this sentence but that was the word that obviously got my attention. I absolutely HATED it when people used such a derogative term to describe my below average height and I simply would not take such an insult from my own partner and seemingly, apprentice. Before I knew it, I released the card from my hand in a flicking motion and shot it towards Iz’s cheek. The card seemed to have cut his face ever so slightly as crimson slowly leaked from below his eye. Red eyes widening, the crimson irises watched me as I silently went to the bookshelf, retrieved a book and sat back down, reviewing some of the medical terminology that I had forgotten.

…Iz had learned all right.

I’ve noticed after all this time that we’ve been training together , Iz had gotten stronger, it was noticeable. Faster, stronger, smarter, he was tasting the fruits of his labor and that’s not the only progress he would make. It has gotten to the point where his taijutsu was on-par with even mine and my proficiency in taijutsu was pretty-high if I do say so myself. It was probably the fact that Taijutsu was the only main sect of techniques that Aidos could rely on. Animals couldn’t mold chakra thus ninjutsu and genjutsu was completely unaccessible to him. It mattered not for one could easily take down someone using taijutsu. Besides, if Iz needed range, that was the reason for secondary weaponry and besides, I would probably be the one to add the range supplement to his game.

Anyways, the paper seemed to have hardened to that of stone but I still wasn’t done yet. The logical step above stone was iron, well at least to me. If I could harden the paper to this point, I would finally have a viable weapon to work with and then I’d be to focus on more important techniques.

Weaponry hadn’t been apparent to Iz at all. It was funny since he’d seem to the type to use any weapon available to him. Well, that was going to change today. Today, I had gotten him a wooden bokken of a greatsword that I had seen for sale in the Sea Capital’s various item shops and I thought that he’d like the fact that he’d get a large sword to swing around. He seemed intrigued in the least bit and decided to swing it around a bit and get a feel for it. Then, his crimson eyes gazed over at me and he quickly flashed a sharp-toothed grin at me. I honestly didn’t know what he was cheesing about but knowing his intentions, I was automatically on the defensive. Thinking that it’d be funny, he quickly rushed at me and swung the wooden greatsword at my face, apparently trying to hit me like I was some kind of human baseball or something of that sort. Not really wanting to get hit across the face, I took out a paper card, hardened it with chakra and simply side-stepped and swung at the greatsword with the paper card in my hand. Surprisingly, the paper card cut through the wooden greatsword as if it were butter and the result was the greatsword simply falling apart and making audible noises once it collided with the earth.

Aidos blinked for a moment and turned his attention towards me. Blinking his eyes again, he muttered:

“Holy shit.”

I gave him a look with lowered eyelids and waved my hand dismissively. Even though the sword was broken, it was still an applicable weapon. Pointing to the broken sword, I motioned myself swinging the weapon about, trying to tell Iz to use it anyways. Rising an eyebrow, he picked up his tail for a moment to pull a small splinter out of it and stated:

“…You want me to use that? What the hell am I goin’ to do with that? Splinter you to death?”

He did have a point, I mean, there was really nothing you could do with a broken wooden sword except for chuck it at people. Still, this was the point with this training, he had to find other applications with odd and unusual weapons so that anything could be a potential weapon in his hands. Waving my hand dismissively again, I simply assumed a ready stance while I dropped the leather briefcase onto the floor.

I guess he just had to learn.

[Enter, The Ice Angel]

I strolled gracefully through the peaceful green as I listened to everything around me. It seemed too quiet, too peaceful, as if no wars have ever taken place. It was as if there was not a single drop of blood on the ground—made innocent. I supposed if there was war, they have faded away into existence, for not even the people around here cared for any who entered here. It seemed as if this place was a haven for those trying to escape from the clutches of the Ninja World. Yet, I feared I was too late to be saved, be nevertheless, I continued on. I just wanted to find a nice place to rest, and soon as I entered a place, an open field where the green pastures sang of the peaceful song long forgotten, I knew that I was going to be quite comfortable here.

Seeing a hammock, my heart leaped for joy as I silently lay my body in it. Pulling my sleep mask over my eyes, for I was known to be lazy; I slept.

hmm… a nap is in order yes?

Nagi was just minding his own business it seemed as he soon returned back to his usual training spot however there seemed to be new individuals present. One appeared to be sleeping in the hammock that Nagi constructed himself. He didn't particularly mind, it was just an out of the ordinary sight.

Without him knowing it, a thick finger tapped him lightly upon the shoulder. Slightly startled, the timid male turned around only to see a gargantuan monkey-like creature standing behind him, literally looking straight down upon him. Well, he did seem huge in comparison to Nagi's height and weight. If he could scream, he would, but of course, no sound would come out as he'd step back and simply look in horror at the menace.

" Relax kid! He's not going to do anything..."

Another individual seemed to enter the scene, a male that looked in his late twenties.

" Hehe. We've been watchin' you kid! You're real talented with that paper of yours! That stuff has me all mesmerized and what not! Look, the reason I'm here is that Aidos here wants to come along with you."

I stepped back, surprised that such a beast wanted to form a partnership with me. Doubting what he said, I pointed to myself, my face telegraphing utter confusion.

" Yeah you! He thinks you're really strong y'know and he thinks that he can learn from you and what not."

The flying monkey scoffed to himself and blew out a puff of smoke from the cigarette that he was smoking. Red occuli then looked down at the male, apparently waiting on his answer. Nagi thought hard for a moment but the answer would soon turn out to be a yes. Nodding his head, he'd accept the animal's request.

"Haha! Thanks man, I've really been trying to find this guy a home and looks like he has one and family too! Listen uh, could you pay me for him? I'm kind of cuttin' short right now and it'd be really apperciated, you certainly won't be disappointed with his performance. How's... 19100 Ryo?"

It was certainly a high price but hey, Nagi was willing to pay it. He really didn't need to buy much at all these days. Carefully counting the currency, the total amount of money would be handed to the individual, who was apparently very happy with Nagi's sense of genorosity.

" Thanks man! Haha! Hey, I'll be keeping touch with ya! Thanks again! Peace!"

And with that, the individual would turn on his heels and leave the spacious training ground. Gulping to himself, Nagi would turn and look back at the one called Aidos who apparently was just chilling and minding his own business for the time being. Noticing the small male looking at him, red optics would shift downwards as pupils would dilate slightly in order to fully take in the view. Then, without warning, the fourteen foot wingspan of the flying monkey would burst out fully and in honesty, Nagi would jump back five meters from the sense of surprise. Seeing the young male's jittery response, Aidos laughed to himself, though to Nagi, it sounded like a low growling type noise.

Biting his lip, Nagi then turned to the attention of the sleeping male in the hammock. Making his way over to him slowly, Nagi would stand on his toes and nudge the male slightly, in order to invoke an awakening.

The sweet sound of sleep was great. There was no noise to interrupt my sound of sleep for awhile. Suddenly, I heard a distant chatter as I rolled over, ignoring it. Images came forth from my mind as I plunged deeper into it. Dreams that were neither sweet dreams nor nightmares seemed to take place within my mind as I lay afloat. It was weird… I mean, how could dreams that neither good nor bad happen? It just wasn’t possible. But at another thought that popped up into my thoughts as I slept in the comfortable hammock, I smiled as I realized something. I was free from the clutches of the Ninja World… no more training, no more missions, no more responsibilities and hopes of reaching Chuunin. With that thought, I must have thought it was the year of jubilee as a jovial spirit overtook me.

Why, I could sleep in this hammock for years and never get up only when to eat…

A tap? I ignored it at first of course, but as I felt a zephyr breeze brushing across my face, I awoke. Turning my body and face to meet the person who had awoken me, I noticed that it was a small boy. His skin was almost similar to mine, expect his was darker. His eyes seemed to carry the normal black hue to attune to his skin. My own golden eyes lit in the afternoon sunlight as I got up. Looking down at the boy, I towered over him as I smiled. Words coming out of my mouth to present a greeting, I would say…

“Hey there, I’m sorry… is this your home? My name is Myaku by the way. Yours?”

Effect: A technique that allows an animal to listen to the user through the course of friendship and kindness.
Special: ---
Drawback: Animal will not listen to the user what so ever. May only learn once per animal. If user gets a new animal user must relearn the technique for that specific animal.
Description: To train you must approach, play, feed, etc with the animal. You must love the animal as if it is your buddy. You must train long and hard to gain the trust and of your animal companion. If user has a Small Animal Companion, the user must learn the technique "D" Rank. If user has a Medium Animal Companion, the user must learn the technique "C" Rank. If the user has a Large Animal Companion, the user must learn the technique "B" Rank. If the user has a Huge Animal Companion, the user must learn the technique "A" Rank. If the user has a Gargantuan Animal Companion, the user must learn the technique "S" Rank. If the user has a Colossal Animal Companion, the user must learn the technique "S + B" Rank. This means that the user must first learn "S", and then learn an additional "B" because its such a huge creature.

The man seemed to have awoken and from the looks of it, he'd seem to be a pretty nice and respectful one. Upon his first initial question, Nagi would shake his head, relaying his belief that he wasn't annoyed by the young male sleeping in the hammock and also to negate the statement that this region was his home. However, he'd have to explain his muteness to the man as well as why the fact that a clothed six foot five flying monkey was following him around.

Taking out his trusted notepad and pen, his left hand began to deftly scribe the necessary things that would need to be relayed to the individual known as Myaku. After a few moments, the note was passed onwards so that Myaku would be able to gather and learn the necessary information.

"No no. It's fine, I don't mind really and this isn't my place of residence, I actually live in a hotel in the City Capital, near that one really popular seafood restaurant everyone seems to go to, including myself. Anyways, this is actually my training field. My name is Nagi and for the reason that I'm writing this you, well, I'm unable to speak so I'd have to either write out what I want to say to you or...express it through facial expressions and gestures..."

Whether or not Myaku was finished with the information, Nagi held up his index finger, in a "one moment" kind of fashion. Turning his attention to Aidos, who was just looking into space while smoking his cigarette, the clothes that he wore were surely beaten by age and thus, Nagi decided to give him a new fresh layout, something that would surely make him more comfortable.

Getting down on his knees, Nagi casually opened the leather briefcase which stored a large portion of his available paper and looked amongst the various colors, trying to find a decent color scheme. Taking out around three hundred or four hundred sheets, he'd close his briefcase and use the top of the briefcase itself in order to perform his work. Looking at Aidos for one moment, he'd begin to simply fold and piece the pieces of paper together, forming various articles of clothing. For the run, a black formal shirt was constructed with various red strips printed on it, resembling the ones present on military shirts. Black pants were also constructed along with dark brown boots. The whole process probably took around five to ten minutes after which, Nagi silently handed the newly made clothes to Aidos himself.

Confused as hell, his red optics would simply stare at the paper clothing and he would then look back at Nagi, trying to figure out the logic behind constructing clothing out of paper. Pushing him along, Nagi pointed to a distant tree that he'd be able to change behind. The changing process took around one minute and then Aidos presented himself in his new clothing, looking quite professional to say the least and apparently, he loved the new look as well.

He couldn't help but present a short smile to Nagi while placing his hand on his head [ which probably covered his entire head ] and ruffling up his bucket hat. Shaking it off, Nagi would run a short test to see if the paper was of utmost quality. Taking out a spare kunai, he'd lightly tap the paper to see for any signs of breakage. There would be none and without warning, he'd slash the clothing with all of his strength. The paper didn't even cut or budge, in fact, the kunai was damaged in the process of slashing the paper. Nodding to himself, he'd slip the kunai away and turn his attention back to Myaku while rubbing the back of his head.

Taking the note, I would read it and look at the boy. It would seem that he couldn’t speak and with the explanation of the six foot monkey present, I couldn’t help but to smile. Looking over to the monkey, I would take notice of his height… nope, still taller. It was as if I was the champion in height but nevertheless, something more took interest that drew all my attention to it. Nagi seemed to be making some clothes, but it was the way that he did it that caught my eye. He was using paper and I have heard of very few people that possessed that talent. Amazed by his skills, I continued to watch and wonder as he made the clothing. Then, he would give it to his animal partner, as I would speak once more…

“How… how did you do that? Oh, and nice to meet you Nagi.”

Then I watched on as he took out a kunai to cut the clothing. Surely, the paper, however the wonder that he made it, could rip to shreds with the idea he had in his mind? But no… as he cut the clothing, not s ingle tear, not a single ripping sound occurred into my ears as I watched with interest. Eventually, my interest became so high that I wanted to learn this skill. And that’s saying something coming from a lazy guy like me. Still, I wished to know more about this skill of paper before attempting to learn.

“Say… this paper skill of yours… how did you learn it? Did you touch the paper magically or what?”

I couldn’t help to laugh out loud in such a jovial manner, and hoped that Nagi took this in a jokingly way. Oh, how I loved being the odd one out.

Effect: A technique that allows the user and the animal to better communicate with one another by understanding what they would say without words.
Special: ---
Drawback: Animal will not understand the user what so ever and will not be able to perform tasks. May only learn once per animal. If user gets a new animal user must relearn the technique for that specific animal.
Description: A user and the animal are like two peas and a pod. It becomes an understanding of interpreted friendship. A user can give commands, telling the animal exactly what to do however the user must be specific. The user is able to understand what the animal means when it reacts, and the animal understands the user when he/she speaks. If user has a Small Animal Companion, the user must learn the technique "D" Rank. If user has a Medium Animal Companion, the user must learn the technique "C" Rank. If the user has a Large Animal Companion, the user must learn the technique "B" Rank. If the user has a Huge Animal Companion, the user must learn the technique "A" Rank. Preparing another note to answer Myaku’s questions, Nagi failed to notice the flying monkey peering over his shoulder, his red optics scanning the note as it was being written. Then after, a moment Aidos growled but to Nagi, it was actually translated into human-like speech.

"How the hell DO you do that shit anyways?"

Obviously surprised, Nagi whipped around and looked straight up at Aidos, who seemed to have lowered his eyelids in response to Nagi's jittery response.

"Yeah yeah. You seem to understand me now. Now answer the damn question."

Nagi would simply give the note to Aidos first and he'd quickly glance over the note itself, wanting to know the paper's secrets as well. Finishing rather quickly, his red optics would shift back down to Nagi as he uttered:

"I want to see it for myself. I want a fight. Now."

Nagi would be taken back by his hasty desire for a fight and would simply give a motion to wait a moment, for other business would needed to be taken care of. Taking the note from Aidos and shifting it over to Myaku, Nagi would give Myaku any time necessary to read the note for the concepts were rather complex.

"Well, I guess you could say that. You see, paper is a modified version of cellulose correct? If one is able to manipulate wood, one should be able to manipulate paper as well. However, paper is such a fine material that the proper manipulation of it is EXTREMELY difficult. The reason being is that as soon as chakra is inserted into the paper, the chakra could easily diffuse into the atmosphere, meaning that the chakra needs to become hardened and solidified as SOON as it enters the paper. And even so, the paper has to strengthen to the point where it can withstand blows AND become immune to its natural weaknesses. For this reason, I've been told that an EXTREMELY few amount of people in this world can manipulate paper due to just how difficult it is."

And with that, Nagi's attention would turn to Aidos who would nod in response. Both walked a short distance away from the hammock, about five meters and spread the distance apart from each other at about ten meters as well. As Aidos was preparing himself in a rather serious manner, Nagi simply rubbed his nose while holding the briefcase in his left hand. Looking at Nagi, Aidos growled:

"I'm an expert swordsman whose speed surpasses all. Give me an adequate weapon and I'll show you."

Shrugging to himself, Nagi opened up the briefcase, took out a few sheets of paper and got to work. In a couple of seconds, he was able to make a katana out of paper however it looked COMPLETELY realistic, to the point where you wouldn't know it was made of paper if you hadn't seen Nagi made it. Tossing the katana to Aidos, he quietly took a distinctive swordsman stance while Nagi simply remained in his casual position.

Well, it was a short spar now.

I watched the communication take place between the small boy, Nagi and his monkey companion. It was interesting to see how the two communicated. The monkey was funny at least. Taking the note from Nagi, I would read it as I tried to grasp the concept of utilizing paper. It seems that one would have to be proficient in learning the arts of Wood before one can advance into the arts of paper. Ironically, before I left the village for more training, I had indeed become proficient in Wood. I wonder… no… even if I was capable of doing it, I would probably start and never finish it. But hey, it was worth a try.

“Hmm… the manipulation of wood leads to the manipulation of paper… I wonder…”

I sat down, for a battle between the two companions was about to take place. My golden eyes concentrated on what Nagi was going to do with paper. Perhaps, after this short spar, I would gain interest to learn the art of paper? Only time would tell.
