The Mizukage's private office has been turned into a dining room for the sake of our awaited Kage meeting. Food has yet to be served, however, a shinobi waits at the door to escort people in to sit down at a chair. Sadly, there will be empty seats, for those Kages who could not make it; may that not stop us from enjoying ourselves. Water and sake can be found at the center of the table, glasses and all of the finest silverware is already prepared. Feel free to grab a glass, and await the Mizukage's entrance. Enjoy the view of the Mizukage's garden through the screen doors.

[/u]. Why did I wish to make this festival old fashioned like this? Simply because I liked the comfort kimono's brought. I felt relaxed, though I should feel relaxed just being in my own quarters. Besides, all festivities have some sort of theme, no? Well, I had arrived...only to find that I were alone; save for the Jounin[ANBU] awaiting guests at the door. He nodded as I entered, and I did so in the same manor as to not be rude. With both arms crossed, a rather childish pout would stretch across my face as I sighed to myself in disappointment.

"So, its just us then?"

The Jounin showed a look of disappointment himself, his shoulders shrugging to show that he wasn't too sure as to how he should answer that question. He would turn, only so he could avoid having to conversation with the Mizukage; something most shinobi did, due to the awkwardness it brought. I would sit down however, at the furthest end. As I normally did when entering my tower, a ritual of sorts, I'd reach for the container of sake. I then took a glass, and poured myself a drink. It didn't last long, and soon I found myself pouring another glass. I wasn't nervous at all.[/ul][/blockquote][/blockquote][/size]

The Tsuchikage would follow the Chuunin that had been assigned to lead her and her entourage to the meeting. Once she had entered she detached the cloak that had adorned her shoulders and hid her whole body. As the large piece of fabric was removed from her body, the Tsuchikage handed it to one of the attendents that took care of the event. She smiled towards the Chuunin that had brought her there before slowly approaching the large table, several chairs surrounding it. The emerald-haired kunoichi wore a short kimono which ended above her knees, exposing about three quarters of her long and smooth legs. Its fabric was made of gentle, violet silk. Its sleeves were long, hiding her hands and only her digits protruded from the confines of the silk.

Netami was quick to notice another individual within the room. He hair was coiffed in an excentric fashion, attracting her attention the most. She caught herself staring at the man's hair, yet she shook her head and approached the man. He did not look like any servant, so she assumed he was the Kage that had called the meeting. Her left hand holding tightly her Tsuchikage Hat, the kunoichi arrived just before the man.

''Greetings, Mizukage-sama.'' She would say gently as she moved in for a simple, yet graceful bow. Her long cascade of leaf-colored hair fell before her, momentarily obscuring her face yet she would rise once more, straghtening her back. She would offer her hand to the man, as a peaceful festure. To other individuals that were not used to the Kishiyagi's appearance, there was somewhat of an exotism to her. Not only had she beautifully healthy green hair, but a natural grown adorned her head. Two Ibex-like horns jutted out of her skull, slipping to the back of her head and ending into two pointy tips. Her eyes remained on the Mizukage, wondering if he would accept her hand and shake it. Introductions would follow.

''I am Kishiyagi, Netami. Tsuchikage of Iwagakure no Sato.''

Both of her bodyguards would have followed her to the meeting. She knew of Souzen's gallantry and knowledge of etiquette, she hoped he knew that it would be unacceptable to wear his AnBu mask within the tower. She knew enough of Harukani to know that he would also behave according to what was needed, hopefully his jokes would not ruin the night, though she figured he would mostly sooth the situation if tension would arise.

The clacking of wooden clogs would sound out around our entourage; I couldn't help that they were noisy. I made sure to present my way in an acceptable manner -- as if the Forest Green & Ivory Kimono wasn't enough. But, on top of that, I made sure my posture was piquant, my headband was secure upon my forehead, and my hair was, well, presentable at the least. After a short waltz through the tower we'd arrived at the meeting spot.

It was a nice room, I guess. I wasn't very 'in tune' with this sort of thing, but I suppose it could be called easy on the eyes. I walked into the room, close behind the Tsuchikage, and it was there that I saw the Mizukage. As milady introduced herself, I took the time to observe the man. 'Weird hair...', I thought, both hands sliding into the opposites' sleeve. He had an interesting aura about him; odd.

Perhaps, in time, I would figure out why.

[/i], I was still sober. I held her hand as I stared into her eyes, though I took notice to the horns protruding from her skull. I smiled politely in return before releasing her hand and extending my other towards an open chair nearby me. I of course took notice to her shinobi, and so I nodded to them to acknowledge their presence.

"Pleased to meet you milady. My name is Li, Fuji..."

"We can cut the formalities, you're my guest."

"Lord Mizukage."

"My apologies, but we had an incident at the gates."

"An incident?"
the chuunin nodded in acknowledgment

He then approached me, the headband in his palm. He would whisper in my ear the briefing of the situation, though it weren't a secret to the others present in this room; he was obviously shy. He placed it before me, the emblem facing me now. So it seemed that their shinobi were out of control? For what reason would they attack at random, let alone, the Tsuchikage? I couldn't verify these allegations he spoke of. However, I would address these assumptions at another time. Right now, I were more concerned with making sure my guests weren't harmed during this situation.

"It seems Yuki has little control over their shinobi."

The sanguine essence of my foe washed off my body I would make all haste to the kage dinner; knowing my lateness was inexcusable. For this magnamonious occasion I deigned it upon myself to adorn a simple egg white kimono. I was there as a simple bodyguard, not to indulge in the extravagance of the occasion. Hair cut and scruff shaved I dare say I cut quite the confident figure. Yet, this thought elicited a chuckle as I made my way up the tower, escorted by the chunnins. When did a warrior such as me have time for such vanity? Had I become soft in my service as "Kurotsume"?

However, these thoughts would soon be erased as I entered the room where the kage's wait. To my surprise only the Mizukage and Netami were there, serving to heighten my suspicion. None the less, I would move with confident steps to my position near Netami at the table, offering her a slight respectful nod. From my position I would listen to the current discussion; apathy upon my countenance.

The kunoichi felt her petite hand be engulfed by the Mizukage's. She smiled warmly towards him. It was at that precise moment that the kunoichi felt the demon within her grow. She could feel the other persona within her gain in strength, it seemed that Koushoku had taken a liking to the leader of Kirigakure, yet Netami clasp her right hand into a tight fist, closing her hands momentarily. She stilled her breath for but a brief moment. The small conflict that had risen within herself had dissipated as quickly as it had appeared. The kunoichi pulled the chair towards her as she went to sit down. Her second bodyguard entered the meeting room. The Kishiyagi would heave a sigh of release, her eyes meeting with Souzen. He had decided to not wear his AnBu mask, to her grand pleasure, and he looked quite good. She politely returned his nod.

''I am completely unharmed. All thanks to one of my bodyguards, I've chosed them wisely.'' Netami answered with a grin as she settled upon her seat. She gently tapped the chairs to her right and left side. ''Sit down boys.'' The kunoichi would say, hoping that both Harukani and Souzen would join her. She also hoped that they would be allowed to be seated along her. She was not knowledgeable in the etiquette of Kage Meetings, yet she needed these people close to her, she felt safer with them.

''But yes, the attack was quite a surprise, it was a part that played in our late arrival, that and the travelling took more time than I had expected. I would like to ask your pardon for my tardiness, I am not usually late. I only hope I am not making my village look bad.'' She would explain as she set both of her hands along the table's side. The kunoichi would cross her legs beneath the table, her eyes scanning the room.

The other returned, the one called Souzen. His face was free of the ever so emotionless mask; appropriate for the situation, supposedly. I couldn't help but to stare at the fellow though. Ironically, the situation coming to my mind now was exactly what the village leaders were speaking about; the attempted assassination of the Tsuchikage.

Lady Kishiyagi instructed us boys to take our respective seats. Although I preferred to stand, I couldn't argue with her. My body fell into the chair gently, my slate eyes still locked onto Souzen. He'd charged into the heat of battle without second thoughts, and, pretty much flawlessly, he ended the life of the assailant. It was, dare I say, admirable. I switched my attention to the Tsuchikage now, and a great deal of disappointment settled over me -- disappointment in myself.

I'd frozen up at a time when she couldn't have needed me more. I felt bad for what I'd done and, as I faced forward, gazing down at the table before me, I realized that I was far from where I should be as far as being a shinobi went. It wasn't just about saving my own ass; I needed to be able to save the asses of those around me, especially the Tsuchikage.

grinning.[/right]My humor may have not caught on, but I could care less. Netami seemed to be quite different, and not what I expected in the likes of a Kage. I guess I were in the same boat, since few expected me to hold such a position as this one. I took a sip of my sake, my left hand lifting in the air to also invite the guards to take a seat along side their kage. I didn't feel that guards were required to stand at attention, especially when they were guests themselves. I then shook my head, forgetting my manors.

"Please, don't let me stop you from pouring yourself a drink."

"We can drink before going into anything too deep, since I'm expect more guests to arrive."

I drank more of my own glass. The guard at the door seemed to be awaiting my command to begin serving the food, but I simply stared at him. We would wait until all of my guests had arrived, though of course, I wasn't completely sure as to whether or not anymore would arrive. Well, if no one were to arrive within the next couple of minutes, I would begin regardless. Glasses were arranged before the guards as well if they wished to take a drink. However, I doubted they would, due to them being on duty.

"But yea, I'll have some of my ANBU look into this shinobi's ties. Can't have a bunch of rogue ninja running around."

"I hear you're fairly new to the Kage seat as well, Netami?"

Entering under the guard of his ANBU, Areno. The man known as the Juudaime Kazekage would enter the scene, His sandy, azure eyes laying upon the woman he assumed to be the Tsuchikage and what he also assumed to be her guards. "I apologize for my tardy nature... My ferry from wind was... rather delayed." He spoke as he removed his hood, allowing his unearthly black hair spill out. "I assume... that I am not the only one late." He spoke once again, his eyes dull, his mouth remaining straight, strapped to the back of his huge gord, his Kage's hat blew slightly. Showing his affiliation with the wind.

Standing still until addressed, he did not want to start an international incident. "I will make myself clear... I am not here under the pretense of peace or hostility. I am here only in order to represent Sunagakure in this matter."

Netami would run her fingers through her long emerald mane as her eyes wandered to the Mizukage as he spoke to her. She would nod politely pouring herself a glass of sake yet she would not drink from it. She would proceed to pour some more for both Harukani and Souzen, letting them know that they were free to enjoy the alcoholic beverages. Of course this was an elegant meeting and she did not want to have her bodyguards get drunk, yet through her travels the kunoichi had learned that alcohol was a way to calm and atmosphere. The Kishiyagi did not take a sip right away though, she knew that the demon within her grew in power and control as Netami became more intoxicated and she would only drink the alcohol would she feel forced or would the etiquette require it.

Before the Tsuchikage could reply anything towards Fuji's comments, a new arrival entered within the Kage Meeting. The beautiful kunoichi did not look at the Kazekage right as he entered. She took her time to see the Li's reaction to the new arrival. By seeing how the Mizukage reacted to the man's entry, it could let her know what was the type of relation both of their villages held.

''What an odd way of making a first impression!'' Netami declared with a large smile as she tapped her finger along her chin as her eyes settled upon the man that held the hat that could only belong to the Kazekage of Sunagakure no Sato. She had been within the unforgiving deserts of his country before, and she knew that anyone growing up within hose lands was bound to be strong-willed. The man's statement about his reason to be here were quite clear, yet he did not seem like one that was well versed in politics. She shrugged it off as she waited for the happenings to progress.

Ugh, Alcohol.

Oh how deep my love ran for such a tantalizing beverage. I watched in awe as the Tsuchikage poured a few glasses, sending one of them my way. The cup sat there, idle, for I didn't jump for it right away, though my mind yearned for its taste.

I was on a mission, damn it, one of great importance. Even a mere couple of sips from the cup of sake would inevitably hinder my performance on this mission; I'd messed up once, no need to do it again. On top of that, I'd end up acting like an ass in front of milady and the Mizukage -- as well as the newcomer.

I turned only slightly, just enough so that I could observe the fellow as he entered. He was older than us; probably in his mid-twenties.I listened attentively, studying him, as he spoke of his country of origin. 'Sunagakure...I think they call it a Kazekage...', the thought. Could he be the Kazekage?

After the Shinobi of Mizu escorted them to the building the meeting was being held in, Jenzo remained outside. He told the Shinobi he would be in shortly after he had a talk with his companion, after explaining his actions to the Chunnin his attention turned towards Kitsui. Kneeling down before his companion, he removed his cloak and wrapped it around the wolfs neck. He didn’t want to bring unwanted attention towards him, wearing such a concealing cloak like that. He’d came on the Kaze’s behalf, and wanted to make sure that he wasn’t treating to anyone within the room.

“Sorry boy. Your going to have to wait outside till were done here.” Kitsui sat down before him nudging his head against the man’s strong frame, nearly knocking him off balance with his own strength. However, he did manage to catch his balance by hugging the giant wolfs head.

“I know. Just stay here and keep a watch out.” A hard pat on the side of the creatures large frame, and he rose to his feet. Kitsui wooed a bit, feeling a bit left out, but it couldn’t be helped. He was to large a creature to walk freely into this building, and he would most likely take up a lot of room and be viewed a potential threat. Parting ways with his companion. Jenzo finally made his way into the building, no longer wearing his heavy cloak to hid his body a sense of venerability washed over him. He was clothed in his normal attire, this time around his upper body was more exposed. His tight shirt wrapped around every curve of his body, showing his muscular tone, his arm were quite large and powerful, his body was a gift from the Kamyuja’s. However, he always viewed his bloodline a curse.

After entering the building, he found himself at the meeting room. The Kaze had already introduced himself, and gave his reason why he was late. Other’s began to comment on his appearance, this didn’t bother him one bit. Jenzo was always prone to begin left out or ignored in a group, until he made his move.

“Jenzo Kamyuja, Sannin/Medic Master.“ He rasped out in a firm voice, to make his presence noticed as he walked around the corner with a faint smile on his face as he entered the room, he gave a small wave to everyone and walked directly towards the table. Without being offered or hesitation, he reached over and grabbed a bottle of sake. He froze for a minute in place, glancing at everyone for a brief moment, as if he was waiting for someone to comment on him taking the bottle, to interject with his actions. His gaze was firm, he begged for anyone to tell him to release the bottle, or try to prevent him from taking it.

If no one made an attempt to stop him, he walked away from the table to far end of the room, to stand by window or a door that leads to the outside to rest his body on, by means of leaning next to the wall. He wanted to be near the quickest exit just incase something went wrong, his worries were not in the room, but outside to his companion he left alone. He’d always worried about Kitusi being left alone in strange places, taking a deep chug from the bottle. His eyes would occasionally glance over to the group examining the people at the meeting. He'd never did well in meetings, politics was something he could handle, but something he always dreaded doing in. He poached himself against the wall waiting for anyone to address him or the meeting to get one the way. Either one would be just fine for him.

In my seat with the cup of sake I would sup from it gently, not wishing to fore go the Mizukage's hospitality, but nor did I want to appear intoxicated in any manner. Even so, I would relish the taste of such ambrosia as this. Ah sake! What bliss! Yet, such euphoria was soon forgotten as I once again realized where I was. It seemed the Kazekage had made his appearance, along with his rather stout bodied escort. It wasn't the Kazekage who drew my attention, it was his bodyguard. The man soon swept some sake from the table, introducing himself. My eyes would harden at this mans seemingly in genial behavior. Surely a man placed in such trust would act more accordingly to the etiquette of this meeting? Or were all men from Suna barbarians like the rumors had said? No matter, this man by the way of his self sure movements, keen eyes and intelligent speech was surely dangerous. I would have to keep an eye on him should something become amiss...even so, I would turn my attention to the meeting at hand, eager to hear what the kage's were discussing. Even more eager to know what would happen to Yukigakure after their unsuccessful assassination.

An ANBU suddenly whispered in the ear of Areno after receiving a message over his headset. "Kazekage sama... It seems several ninja need to leave the village in your absence. What shall we do about it?" Areno turned, fridgidly to the ANBU and simply spoke. "Open them for those who wish to pass... and allow our little... captive to go free. We have no need for him any longer." he spoke, obviously not caring what the others in attendance heard.

Suddenly, an ANBU would bite his thumb as Areno spoke "No cause for alarm. We simply need to summon a messenger animal to return back to Sunagakure." as Areno spoke, the ANBU would slam his hand upon the ground after forming simple handseals. A small cat would appear, yawning and stretching as it looked to the ANBU, who quickly scrawled a message on a two small scrolls and tied them to the cat's harness. In a flash, the animal was gone, through a door.

As the animal left the room, Areno would stand beside the only other Suna nin to come to the meeting, Jenzo. his eyelids, seemingly heavy, he spoke once more. "My apologies, I had a matter that was vital to attend to. Now... I must be blunt, yet also honest. What is the exact intention of this gathering?" He spoke, seemingly changing his footing, but in reality, he would be moving his lets simply to allow damp sand to dry out, all the while, frowning at the glutton his companion seemed to be when it came down to alcohol, remembering his penchant for the disgusting liquid from his acceptance speech.

"Oh, well, that is quite beautiful."

The doors to the dining room would have silently slid open; the Aburame filling the open space of its entrance. His eyes were of course locked onto the garden that rest just outside the room - a pleasantry his office failed to currently provide. For a moment he stood there in the doorway, seemingly forgetting that the other Kages had even existed there at that very moment. But in a brief moment he would be escorted to his seat; next to the Tsuchikage. He would smile brightly, glancing at all the people in the room.

Bowing his head slightly as he made himself comfortable within his seat, he would then turn his gaze towards the Mizukage in particular, removing his sunglasses as he spoke; "I do apologize for being late. I hope I have not missed too much goings on." Hazel optics then carrying around to the bodyguards of the other Kages, Iizuka would then feel rather pathetic compared to them. What a first impression to make at his first meeting with any number of village leaders!

[/i]? In my village, eh? I did not speak just yet, nor did I have the intentions of mentioning or questioning this subject matter. No, I had many people entering the meeting at this very instant, which brought a smile upon my face; though it still held a devious appearance. I took another sip of my sake before standing up from my chair to extend my hands towards open chairs for the guests to sit upon. It appeared one shinobi didn't wish to sit, which was fine too.

"You're tardiness isn't a problem. I'm just glad those that showed up...actually showed up."

"Now, I know you're wondering as to what reason I've brought you here today. Honestly, it is a selfish reason, in celebration of my new position. However, I want to know just where we all stand..."

I paused now to take a sip of my sake, my eyes slowly moving across the room to each kage present at this very moment. Of course, my question was kind of left in the open, but I believed they would get an idea as to what I were talking about. The sting of alcohol moved down my throat, causing a sudden rush to go down my spine; I was now tipsy. My Jounin at the door would walk towards the other side of the room to stand at my side. I leaned back now, my glass still in my hands, as my smile faded.

"...where do you see yourselves, five years from now? Prosperous? Broken down? Or dead?"

"I want to know who here has ill intent towards another present in this room. I want to know everything."

My eyes were now set upon the Takikage, since he was the last to arrive. My Jounin would look to him as well. It was a rather serious subject matter, and definitely a way to kill the party vibe I intended on having with my guests. However, the Kazekage's unfriendly behavior had slightly irritated me. Regardless, that tension were to rise sooner or later, though I had hoped to get everyone a little loose and open with comfort or just the pure alcohol, just to allow them to feel free in speaking their mind; for I planned to very soon.

It was almost as if he wanted them to burst into combat in the middle of the room. His words would surely bring forth some dispute, especially with the sake coursing through his veins. It would only be a matter of time until someone was shouting. Enjoying the peace while it was still present, the Aburame shifted as surely tension could have risen from the words of the host. Glancing to the other guests of this dinner, he would take a moment before answering the question. His face was one of disappointment, sighing as he then looked up.

"Quite honestly, not well. Our numbers fade, and our people are weak. I will not lie and say that we have grown. We will fall to those around us and the future is looking dim." Glancing to the other kages, he would stop for a moment to search their faces. With this information, of course they could see Taki as a potential benefit to their wealth. After all, Taki was not the strongest of nations nor the largest. Another intake of breath and he would continue.

"We are currently in the process of rebuilding pieces of the nation. Soon, we will stand as an opposable force. We won't be weak any longer." He would lean back in his chair, his eyes scanning once more the faces of each individual. All countries were neutral to Taki, but things had a way of changing. Several of these nations also owed debt to Taki, as it had been recorded in papers by Rikku. Perhaps soon he could ask for their return. Waiting now for the Mizukage to continue, he would be observing the Kages and their bodyguards, judging their strength and capability.

I knew Kirigakure like the back of my hand - knew it better than the back of my hand, for I'd had little reason, ever, to sit and stare at the appendage. I had, however, had good reason to explore the village proper in my days as both student and genin of the village. I discovered the locale of the fabled "Kage Summit" soon enough, disbelief etched in the features hidden behind shades and face-mask.

So it was true, then - Shin was no longer the Mizukage. I wondered who'd taken his place; it had to be someone young, and daring, to invite all the Kage's to dine in his village. I wondered if the Tsuchikage had come, if Myriam had told him of the mist-nin who'd sworn an oath to her. Probably not, I surmised shortly, but then again... Then, I wondered if the Kazekage had come as well, if he knew the identity of the so called "Demon of Sand", and if he would mind my exuberant slaughter of said shinobi.

I couldn't help but laugh at the tilt my thoughts were taking.

Right palm resting on Benihime's obsidian hilt at my waist, I traipsed through the building, moving as swiftly as I could through its corridors. Word would reach of my suspicious entrance soon enough - to that end, I did away with my lackluster disguise, ridding myself of the bandana and the shades and the face mask. I was irrevocably and unmistakably Hiromasa, all blonde hair and lilac eyes.

As I came upon the final frontier, so to speak, I noticed the minute tension reverberating throughout the body of the guard at the door - ANBU or no, I'd garnered a frightning reputation amongst the black-ops for extreme brutality; no one had forgotten the sight of me, still a genin, carrying the bleeding head of a nameless ninja into the kage's office. Why, had I not gone missing, it would probably have been me standing at that door!

"I suggest you let me pass," I offered nonchalantly, brushing imaginary dust from my shoulder with my free hand. "I promise I won't kill everyone." I came to a stop five meters in front of the door, my pose seemingly relaxed, shoulders drooped, head lolling to one side. "Shin never did anything half as interesting as this new fellow."

Words spewed by the guard standing before the door leading into the kage dinner. His hand would rest upon the hilt of his katana, slowly unsheathing it. He had skill with that blade as well; though it could be easy to assume that his guard was down, for he seemed at ease. Foolish...

Interesting, Taki seemed to be in a rather sad state as of late. Sadly, the same could be said for my own village, though I hoped the lights and action would blind them from seeing that reality. Productivity has gone down for my own village, and it bothered me to hear that I wasn't the only one. Though, at the same time, I felt a little secure knowing I weren't the only one. One thing I was sure of, my shinobi are fully capable of protecting the village even without me. One stood at my side to show the stature of mist ninja.

"Your honesty is commendable, and I respect you being open about your affairs..."

Well, I could not wait to hear the situation with the two remaining villages. Though I usually went by the ladies first rule, I wanted milady to take in a few more sips of sake so that she may feel relaxed; I sipped some myself. My open hand extended to the second kage, the Kazekage. I'm sure he would hold back lots of information from us, he just seemed to be that type of person. I took notice to sounds being made outside the office doors. I hoped it were another Kage, for the sake of making this topic interesting.
